The problem is everyone is constantly in a state of chronic dieting. This may be the reason you’re not seeing any consistent results.
.
.
I can guarantee the majority of you who ARE dieting shouldn’t BE or are not in a position to be dieting.
.
.
Long periods of dieting slightly suppresses your metabolism and so it should. Our body tries to protect itself from harm or stress. This is usually seen in severe calorie restriction where our body is very resilient.
.
.
When weight loss occurs - it’s either done by a calorie deficit via exercise and or reducing food intake resulting in a drop in body weight. This indicates energy is low & the body will adapt accordingly. Think of your body slamming the hand break on. Over time this can result in:
⬇️energy expenditure (your body will do everything to try and conserve energy.
-There will be an ⬆️in hormones promoting increased hunger and catabolism and ⬇️ in hormones that promote lean mass,energy expenditure and satiety.
.
.
All of which is the opposite of what you want, your body is trying to minimise weight loss.
.
.
No you’re not broken,no you’re not in starvation mode.Your body adapts to the scenario you place it in. THAT’S why dieting is hard work, it’s certainly not easy.
.
.
To compensate this, more exercise needs to be added coupled with more of a calorie deficit. This becomes very difficult when you’re training volume is already significant & calorie intake is low.
.
.
Remember, constantly striving to be leaner where you have to go far and beyond, where it compromises your lifestyle isn’t the solution to long term weight loss.
.
Ensuring you’re having evidenced based protocols for both training and nutrition is very important, which is likely to minimise these adaptations and promoting sustainability in your weight loss.
.
.
Eat enough to support your training and goals , pay attention to how you feel and make small sustainable changes. Because what’s the point if you’re miserable, tired all the time and struggle with normality all for what? To look slightly leaner ?
There is a times for dieting, but you can’t keep pushing your body and not expect it to break down.
Be sensible.

Ultimate plate of comfort food 🙌🏻

🎄 mum and I went Christmas food shopping the other day and got some bits and bobs (including @lindamccartneyfoods new meat loaf!! And gravy hehe )
As you can see though, I couldn’t wait until Christmas Day to use the gravy so I made myself some sausages + mash absolutely drowned it in the stuff 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

🌟 For the mashed potato 🌟
1️⃣ wash and peel however many potatoes you like (I used around 5 small ish ones)
2️⃣ microwave them for 4 to 5 minutes until soft
3️⃣ mash them up with a potato masher
4️⃣ stir in a tsp of mustard, 1tbsp nutritional yeast, salt and pepper and some oat milk to get it to the desired consistency -

For me, this plate was definitely up there on my top 5 list 🙈

Franzbrötchen😍😍😍 ohne raffinierten Zucker. Die perfekte Kombi aus Hefeteig, Butter und Zimt.Dieses Rezept ist eine schnellere Abwandlung vom Original. Das eigentliche Rezept sieht einen Plunderteig vor. Diese gezogenen Teige machen sehr viel Arbeit und sind für Anfänger wirklich schwierig in der Umsetzung. Daher habe ich mich für die einfachere Variante entschieden.
