BUT, we want out athletes to perform simple things and to perform them well.

Here is a short video of @maticerzen12 doing side hurdle jumps + box jump with 1-legged landing. 200cm and looking smooth.👌🏻
Could we use higher box? Probably, but that’s not the point of it all. ▪️
What is important here?
👉🏻 Learn how to create and absorb force. We have to learn athletes when to accelerate and when to turn on their brakes.
I often tell them to land quietly. If the landing is noisy, maybe the height of the box is not appropriate.
Remember; train to force development (the jump) & force absorption (the landing).🗣
Oh yeah, don’t train ego, leave it before you enter the gym. 😉
👉🏻 There shouldn’t be any excessive caving of their knees & feet during landing or posture collapsing. Learn how to own the landing and try to hold the position for a split second.
👉🏻 Step off the box.. Spare the joints and tendons. Makes sense, right?

🗣 Why kids? Because we can teach kids at young age the importance of discipline, hard work, dedication, why giving your everything is important if you want to achieve anything in life. Teach them nothing in life is given and you have to work your ass off every single day!

🔑 It doesn’t matter if they’ll play pro bball or not.. most of them won’t. But they’ll have the right attitude to do whatever they want in life. Work ethic and attitude.. 😉🔥

💣 To be honest, they don’t get what they need in most clubs. Individual work means individual treatment.. ain’t no other way. Elite players or beginners, it doesn’t matter.
At the end of the day they all deserve a chance to get better.. and we’re here to provide that + help basketball.

    Offseason ali priprava na sezono ima več ciljev, vse pa je pogojeno z željami oz. zmožnostmi posameznika/ce, kot so:
👉🏻 saniranje, rehabilitiranje poškodb in telesa
👉🏻 odpravljanje pomankljivosti (kot npr. izboljšanje gibljivosti in s tem gibanja)
👉🏻 napredek v moči in vzdržljivosti
.. če jih naštejem le nekaj, najpomembnejših.

🗣 Vsak šport ima svoje zahteve, kar pa ne pomeni, da je potrebno specifike športa iskati skozi treninge za moč. Program treninga v fitnesu je 70-80% dejansko enako (podoben) treningu vsakega športnika, ki žei biti močnejši in boljši atlet. Nekaj % pa ostane na voljo zaradi narave športa, individualnih razlik, preferenc in ostalega.

⚠️ Ne izumljajmo in izvajajmo cirkusa, ker nam razen všečkov na socialnih omrežjih dolgoročno ne prinese koristi, lahko pa škodujemo športnikom. Ne glede na to ali imamo opravka z najstniki ali košarkarji svetovnega kova, osnove so temelji in na osnovah se gradi. So neke vrste higiena za katero je potrebno skrbeti day in & day out.. keep it simple & work hard! 😉🔥⛹🏻‍♂️

    Večina košarkarjev, ki pridejo v gym, si želijo dveh stvari; imeti več odriva in biti hitrejši. Kar je razumljivo, pa vendar mora biti prioritetna lestvica drugače zastavljena..
🗣 Sam si namreč želim, da ohranijo oz. izboljšajo zdravje in postanejo močnejši!

Zakaj? Pa poglejmo na kratko..
👉🏻 Dolgoročno zdravje omogoča reden in kvaliteten trening, kot tudi količino le-tega.
👉🏻 S pridobivanjem moči smo posledično hitrejši, bolj skočni in manj dovzetni za poškodbe.

Kako to doseči?
1️⃣ Trening za moč
2️⃣ Gibljivost telesa
3️⃣ Trup (core), zadnjica in zadnja loža
4️⃣ Dosledno in tehnično dovršeno

Nekaj je znanost, nekaj pa je zdrava kmečka pamet in razmišljanje. Potrebno je zgraditi zdrave temelje in nato na tem graditi.. Podobno kot na parketu; če nisi sposoben narediti vzdolžnega prehoda v vodenje brez korakov, je res potrebno posvečati pozornost step-backu ala Luka Doncic? 🤔

    Ponedeljek, na posvet pride oče s 15let starim fantom, ki obožuje košarko. Se spoznamo, klepetamo, izkušnje, težave in želje, kmalu sledi:
“Veš kaj, ne želim, da ima mali preveč mišic. Najina želja je, da delata na eksplozivnosti in odrivu, mislim, da to najbolj potrebuje. Ne delati preveč z utežmi in kvihti..”

Včasih sem začudeno pogledal, saj nisem vedel, kdo od njiju igra košarko, čigave so to želje, kdo je trener, itd. Pa vendar se z izkušnjami naučiš tudi rokovati z ljudmi. Moj odziv:
“Všeč mi je, da sin obožuje košarko! Še bolj bi me veselilo, da sam pove kakšno besedo.. K meni ste prišli po priporočilu, zato prepustite meni vse kar se tiče treninga in tega kar potrebuje, ok?”

1️⃣ Življenjski stil otrok je drugačen kot smo ga imeli mi. Kar pomeni, da otroci potrebujejo več pozornosti in individualnega dela pri osnovah.
2️⃣ Osnovni gibalni vzorci; za veliko večino je lastna teža dovolj velik zalogaj in uteži dejansko niso potrebne.
3️⃣ V gymu se ne premetavajo samo kvihti, temveč ogromno pozornosti posvečamo gibanju, gibljivosti, razmišljanju in učenju.

Če telo ni zmožno prenesti vseh sil pri skokih ali doskokih, spremembah smeri in podobnih gibih, potem so igralci bolj podvrženi poškodbam. Zato je nesmiselno mladino pretirano izpostavljati neštetim uram pliometrije.
Konec koncev, prvi in glavni predpogoj za napredek je zdravje. ☝🏻
