Got in one last workout yesterday before starting a fasting cleanse today on an intracellular level. I want to preface with, I do not fast to lose weight, I fast to clean out mucus, toxicity, and acidity from my body. Above all, to strengthen my immune system. Whether you have a skin condition like eczema, tinea versicolor, acne; or maybe you have a leaky gut, candida overgrowth, allergies etc. it all manifests INSIDE before it appears on your body. Pills, creams, and steroids are just temporary fixes. Your body cannot properly repair itself with a lot of the foods we eat in today’s world. I have never attempted this big of a fast before, but this is where motivation stops and discipline takes over. I’m sry in advance for what I said when I was hungry 🤓

Post college athletics can be surprisingly difficult reestablishing a relationship in the gym!! I’m dropping the idea in my head that in order to have a “successful” workout means leaving the gym feeling like ur going to pass out & that anything less than that isn’t good enough. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐈’𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲, 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝, 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 & 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭.

Tips that have helped me figure out what I like and to stay consistent:
.
1. Try all different types of workouts/classes to see what you like. Do you like group classes (big or small), yoga, pilates, boxing, having an instructor/being alone. Pick out your favs and evaluate.
.
2. Reflect. Listen to your body. What makes you feel the best? A super hard workout or a moderate workout? If you’re flat on your back after a killer class, you may not be able to realistically do that everyday. So be realistic with yourself.
.
3. Find a killer playlist or podcast to keep your head in the game when u feel like quitting. For me, I love listening to cheesy motivational videos on yt, they’re linked in bio hehe!!
.
4. Come up w a weekly schedule to take the thought out of it, so all u have to do is show up and MOVE!

While I always enjoyed cooking and creating meals, going vegan really led to explore more recipes, flavours & foods, as most of the meals I made before were now not a part of my diet. ⁣

I got creative and started to adapt those old meals, but I also starting incorporating all these new foods, boosting them with spices like smoked paprika, marinating foods like tofu, trying out new combos like rice & beans, but trying them into a dish bursting with flavour. I just became a better cook as I opened my mind & wasn't just concerned with meat with every meal! ⁣

My top vegan cooking tips are;⁣

Don't be afraid to fail, it might take 3 or 4 times before you nail a recipes.⁣

Fill your cupboard with spices & flavour enhancers like soy sauce.⁣

Learn to make simple sauces from tahini or nut butters, they make a boring meal delicious!
