“WHY DO YOU FILM IN A GARAGE?”

I film in a garage because it’s the last place you would expect someone to workout. It’s to show that you don’t need a fancy gym, tons of machines and equipment, or really anything except your own body to be fit. No, you may not be able to be a bodybuilder with my workouts, but The type of fitness I believe in is not about becoming the biggest most ripped guy/girl in the room. It’s about keeping your body healthy, fit, and mobile. My workouts are there to help anyone, of any age, to practice becoming more mobile, becoming more flexible, lose weight and gain lean muscle, and able to increase life longevity. And all of this can be done anywhere, a gym, you home, driveway, park, garage, balcony, hotel room, beach, etc.

You don’t start out exactly where you want to be, it takes hard work and dedication.

A year ago I was 170 pounds. Today I am 139( with a lot of muscle growth too)

STORY TIME❗️❗️❗️ One day last January, I remember just sitting in front of my mirror crying while eating brownie brittle(stress eating)... I was crying because I felt disgusted with myself, and kept trying all these diets, but would just keep crashing and felt like none were working ( even though I was only giving myself a week)... I put down the bb, wiped my tears and said “ I am not giving up this time” and SLOWLY(it took me almost a month to actually not crave stuff) started substituting my sweet tooth with healthy snacks like apples, and protein shakes.. I started hiking, and going to the gym more.. heck if you ask my graduating class I’m sure they’d tell you I was usually hiking rather than at school even.. oops( don’t do that)lol. I remember my weight hitting 152 and I just couldn’t seem to get under that, no matter how hard I would push myself, so I went to a dietitian and found out I wasn’t calculating my carbs, proteins and fats right, so I adjusted my intakes and started to lose more fat/weight(keep in mind this was about 3 months in)
The point of this quick story is to just remind you that you’re not gonna see results the next day.. it’s gonna take awhile and a lot of hard work and dedication, and if you get to a halt like I did, DONT give up, go talk to a dietitian seriously, they help! •
You can still have your treats but maybe instead of eating the whole bag of chips just eat the portion.
