For those of you who haven’t heard, there’s a new bootcamp-style studio on the block. Rowgatta opened up a couple months ago in UnSq and offers an intense 50 min sweat that’s half rowing, half bench work. We consider it to closely resemble Barry’s, but with the running component swapped for rowing.

Each day of the week, there’s a different body focus during the strength training portion of class at Rowgatta - I did CORE day. The instructor guided us through various levels of power on the rower (much like one would with a treadmill), however you can totally go at your own pace. The workout switched off between this and the bench, where you are guided through a dynamic strength training portion.

VERDICT: This class was hard. I certainly pushed myself a TON during the rowing (and got better as class went on). In regards to the strength training, it was bootcamp style and challenging. I wasn’t sore or in pain the next day - (which i was happy about, soreness doesn’t always equate to effectiveness!) As you guys know, I do a ton of pilates - so maybe I’m just used to a lot of core work ... this might be diff for you!

The studio was really nice and stocked with amazing amenities (4 showers for women, 3 for men). There’s also a room where the workout is demo’d for the newbies, equipped with foam rollers and a theragun for a pre/post workout stretch. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming.

    hi my pretty fitties 🌸💜🕊 I finally trained some leggiesss today without coughing up a lung *wooooohooo* got a little wheezzzyy, but we still alive ~ and half awake lol~ && feelin cute reppin all my favs heheh :p <3 ✨👼🏼🖤🌞 slowly going to ease my way back into my routine, 1. b/c I’m somewhat still sick, so I need to take it easy ~but feelin good enough to put in that weerrrkkk ;~) heheh~ and 2. b/c I’ve been out of routine for about a month now, but it’s ok cause we gettin back after it 🥳👏🏽 starting off with lighter weights to get back into my routine and even may switch up my split a bit. overworking my body due to the busyness of work and school life along w/ my training and other stresses, may be the reason I got so sick and haven’t been so “fitspo” that last month :// I just wanna make some gains and grow mentalllyyy okkk.     A lot of hard work, a lot of discipline, a lot of times I wanted to give up and a whole lot of perseverance has gotten me to where I am today. By no means was this easy, I don’t want anyone who may be just starting out or maybe is struggling to find their place to ever think this was easy. Choosing me, putting myself first was freaken hard but man was it worth it.

#facetofacefriday means so much more then the physical changes. It’s how far I’ve come mentally to realize my worth, my purpose, and how much strength I truly have. I promise you will find happiness and you will do incredible things but it won’t be easy. The challenges you’ll face is what truly will define you. How you overcome those things truly will show you how strong you are. Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, just keep putting YOU first and crush all of your goals 👏🏻💪🏻💥

    TRAINING SATURDAY 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Hi!!! ❤️❤️❤️🍒🍒🍒 We did deadlifts today, omg, those were my fave!!!!!!! As the universe already knows, I am in love with deadlifting! Either watching athletes do it or doing it myself! ❤️❤️❤️ Seb taught me how to efficiently do it as he always does. I was sooo, sooo, conscious while doing it because I feel like he’s watching every single form! And he knows what he’s talking about so I was sooo, soooo conscious because deadlifts are my favorite in the entire world! You know that feeling hahahahha! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But I loved doing it so much! ❤️❤️❤️ You know what today, Seb said I was good with my pacing!!! That is super yehey!!! Ahhhhhh! Hahaha! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ He reminded me that my pacing on the knee tucks should be similar to that of my TRX rows last time, that I should know how to break it down without however doing only ONE rep at a time! I was proud of myself I did it! But one more thing I was so happy about today was my burpee bar touch! He never got tired of teaching me how to do it more efficiently since day one- to avoid looking up searching for the bar before I touch it. I was able to practice it today and that felt way better and I was just focused on going up and down! He always teaches me how to save time and energy without compromising the effectiveness of the workout. I appreciate it so much!

    Sempre a mesma piada mas tá aí eu conto a realidade: músculos são criados a base de romper fibras ( treino) e recuperar as fibras (alimento e descanso), mas tem uma coisa que pode mudar isso , e te trazer 3,4, até 5x maus resultados , são Suplementos??? Não 😂😂😂 suplementos são ilusão criada pela indústria lucrativa que mente mostrando imagens de pessoas fortes trazendo a ilusão de que se vc usar bcaas, wheys, glutamina, e vários outros “milagres” , vc terá sucesso, mas!!!! O detalhe é que esses caras fortes treinam , comem e tomam hormônios a muito tempo , pra só aí poder ter músculos grandes e sem gordura os cobrindo. Simmm todo papo políticamente correto esqueça aqui, esqueça os “profissionais “ de “saúde”, que falam de coisas que não vivem, eles ou são leigos da verdade ou também vão mentir em nome da fama , dinheiro e ser famosos aprovados pela sociedade. Eu estou cagando para o politicamente correto, apenas falo da realidade que vivo e vejo os mentirosos vivendo e contando lorotas kkk. Mas Pedro eu tenho medo de hormônios, sim , a tendência de vcs que nunca viveram a verdade é temer ela, mas não ligo, pode continuar com medo , a vida é sua, e a minha é minha.
