Growth happens with pressure and WORK. The most growth I’ve seen in myself is after being uncomfortable AF. -

Before I started posting frequently I couldn’t have imagined putting myself out here on social media. I would say: “That’s not for me”, “I’m just a private person”. But mostly I was uncomfortable with being vulnerable.

I stepped out of my very comfortable comfort zone and put myself out here. & I’ve gotten dozens of messages from people that seeing my stories/posts have motivated them to workout even though they are tired. And that when I keep it real it makes them feel like they can do it too because someone else is also struggling. THAT’S IT RIGHT THERE.. that’s exactly what makes it worth it to me. & that never would’ve happened if I didn’t get uncomfortable. -

And all I can say is that I must have a lot of good things coming: because I am UNCOMFORTABLE af right now. I am a complete newbie as an RN (which is so overwhelming to feel lost), I’m working on getting a website (which I have no clue about), getting certified to be a personal trainer (just finished an entire bachelor’s in an unrelated field to then continue to learn, I didn’t expect), and basically trying to learn everything I can in how to work for myself which is completely opposite to everything I’ve learned in 24 years. -

I’m uncomfortable, anxious and nervous most days than not. But I’m convinced this is the only way to thrive. So go do what scares you because diamonds are only made under pressure. And what gives me more anxiety is allowing life to go by and not doing anything about it. Okay the end your a real one for reading ❤️.

Today’s day off work consisted of : ⠀

- lying in bed until 10.30am⠀
- catching up on love island ⠀

This is not like me as I am always busy! However, sometimes it’s okay to do nothing, take a break and reward yourself for your hard work! ⠀

(No I did not spend my day of doing nothing in my gym gear) I’m off to the gym to do a lil push session 👊🏼

Focus on the possibilities for success, not on the potential for failure.

The majority of people spend time focusing on what could go wrong instead of what could go right. Don’t waste your energy on all the bad situations but instead use 100% of your focus in creating a desirable outcome. Your future success depends on it.

Literally just had the best workout...⁣

I didn’t hit and PR’s, I didn’t kill my self, but I really pushed myself through EVERY rep, EVERY movement and EVERY exercise. I will be the first to admit I get lazy at the gym. Some days I just don’t feel like doing my ab circuit, I don’t finish out all the reps I know I can do, and that’s fine. Everyone has those days. ⁣

But the days I really focus and push myself to do my best are the days I leave feeling so strong and confident! Don’t give yourself the short end of the stick. Fitness isn’t about being THE best it’s about being YOUR best. ⁣

My new goals for my “cut” are to just focus on being 100% my best self. I’m not going to be as shredded as the next girl, I might not be as strong as the girl after that, but I will be the best me and that’s the shit we like💪⁣
