Home gym was getting cluttered and cramped. Hard to load the plates on the right and kept hitting the ceiling fan. Few hours of shuffling things around gained a lot of space and room for a long-awaited pulley tower. This is the water bottle I keep outside for working out. I use glass so I can leave it in the sun for days without getting titty cancer. Coincidentally I have not used this one for days, as I have others too.

I CHUGGED this then gulped from it a few more times before noticing it was chunky. Turns out, it had become the new watering hole for insects of appropriate size. It ALSO works as a kind of glass pitcher plant fly trap for any poor bastard dumb enough to sneak under the lid I hadn't screwed tight.

They can get in, but they can't get back out.

I thought "maybe some of these chunks are dirt that fell inside." Noooo no no no.

The lid was on, just not screwed tight. All those chunks are tiny rafts made up of what appear to be balls of some kind of red aphid? They were crawling all over my arm while I took this so I didn't look long, but I did not see anything in there that WASN'T a bug.

So I'm on a new diet now.

Believe in yourself and anything is possible !!! Your going to fall , your going to have sets backs , but just keep getting up , keep moving forward , we all have choices ... You can sit and dwell why your life sucks or you can get up and do something about it !! I'm nothing special ..I'm not the most motivated person ...I deal with debilitating anxiety on a daily ....but guess what it's never going to get better if I don't try ...so each morning I jump out of bed and I try ...some days are better than others ..and that's ok ...just keep putting in the effort and things will get better ✌️♥️💪

Took part in the 29th annual @austinmarathon and boy was it a doozy. My performance wasn't anything to write home about but I got it done and had fun while doing it. Now I can relax a bit until I get to do a less stressful race next month. //

The hip hinge is one of the fundamental movements of a lot of exercises. It’s a staple of deadlifts, squats, Olympic lifting, sprinting, and more.

It is important to keep the back straight throughout the movement!

Here in this short video you can see a common mistake which is spinal flexion without maintaining the spinal curves in a neutral position.

The ability to keep our back straight depends on the hamstrings.
You must identify and know the angle of hip flexion at which the hamstrings pull and create backward rotation of the pelvis.

As soon as backward rotation of the pelvis occurs, the lumbar spine loses its lordosis. And at this point we are exposed to very high loads on the vertebrae.

Knee flexion releases the hamstrings somewhat and allows us to flex the trunk more.

Kinesiologically speaking, very few trainees are able to reach a position in which the torso is parallel to the floor and they can maintain a neutral spine.

You must identify and know the angle of hip flexion at which the hamstrings pull and create backward rotation of the pelvis.

As soon as backward rotation of the pelvis occurs, the lumbar spine loses its lordosis. And at this point we are exposed to very high loads on the vertebrae.

Knee flexion releases the hamstrings somewhat and allows us to flex the trunk more.

Kinesiologically speaking, very few trainees are able to reach a position in which the torso is parallel to the floor and they can maintain a neutral spine.

Today was GORGEOUS and a wonderful reminder that warm weather will return soon enough and that means it's time for our annual weight loss challenge! Here are the details:

When - March 2 - May 20, 2020

Cost - $10

How to works - Participants will weigh in and have circumference measurements and BMI calculated in week 1, half way (week of April 13) and again at the end on May 20. The participant who loses the largest percentage of body weight will win! Prizes - CASH!

A massive congratulations to @nanma_relle for completing a very tough 150km bike up some very tough hills and conditions and @salsaberry for representing Australia over the weekend in the takapuna beach cup Winning gold. How amazing they were both in New Zealand and got to meet up together 🧡🖤🤍 . enjoy the rest of your holidays Guys 😃☀️ You don’t have to be as adventurous as these two but definitely try to step outside your comfort zone and experience something that challenges you before you look back and say “I should have done ......”

Como anda a sua execução do Stiff?

Esse exercício é excelente para o posterior de coxa, glúteo e lombar. Porém se for executado de forma errada, pode se tornar potencialmente lesivo em longo prazo.
.
Primeiro vídeo: forma correta de execução.
-A barra deve descer bem próxima ao corpo.
-O tronco desce como consequência do quadril estar indo para trás.
-Deve-se manter as curvas naturais de sua coluna do começo ao final do exercício.
.
Segundo vídeo: erro muito comum de deixar o tronco ir à frente sem deixar o quadril ir para trás. Esse erro faz com que você recrute mais a lombar do que o posterior, causando uma sobrecarga na lombar.
.
Terceiro vídeo: erro ao deixar a barra distante do corpo. Maior propensão a perder a curvatura lombar.
.
Quarto vídeo: é o maior erro que vejo nas academias. Há uma grande amplitude do movimento, porém esta implica uma perda na curvatura lombar, podendo gerar lesões e inflamações na coluna.
.
Quinto vídeo: trata-se de um erro em que há uma força exagerada na região cervical (no pescoço) podendo causar lesões e inflamações na região. Tente manter o seu pescoço alinhado, sem pressioná-lo demais para cima.

Conclusão: o stiff é um ótimo exercício, porém se executado de forma incorreta pode ser lesivo no longo prazo. Esteja sempre atento para executar da melhor forma.

Le Hip Thrust est considéré comme un des meilleurs exercices pour muscler les fessiers.
C'est un exercice qui sollicite principalement les muscles extenseurs de la hanche : fessiers, ischio-jambiers, ainsi que les muscles du bas du dos. - Simple d’exécution.
- Cible majoritairement les fessiers.
- N’augmente pas le tour de cuisses.
- Peut-être réalisé partout, avec ou sans matériel.
- Accessible à tous de part ses multiples variantes.
- Permet de soulever lourd et de progresser rapidement.
- Procure d’excellentes sensations.

Maintenant tu vas me demander comment j'ai fait pour facilement en arriver à 150kg ? Et bien c'est simple. À chaque fois que je savais faire 12 reps avec une charge je rajoutais 20kg et me forçais à faire 10 reps avec cette charge.
Trop facile ? Je rajoute 5kg en plus et fais au moins 6 reps. Ma charge est passé ainsi de 120kg à 150kg en même pas 2 mois.
Voilà mon secret. Toujours rajouté 10kg à 20kg de plus cash ! Pas 2.5kg ou 5kg. Et je me force. Je me challenge chaque jours à faire plus de reps, ou augmenter la charge. Bien évidemment en ayant toujours une qualité d'exécution et un ressentis .
