In the past month, by talking with some of the new members on the gym floor I got this question quite often:

Q: Do I need to take supplements to lose weight?
A: No, just eat less and move more.

The golden rule of weight loss is "calories in vs calories out" to make more simple "eat less and move more"

Sounds easy but for many people that are bombarded with misinformation about different "healthy" diets or magical weight loss supplements, easy becomes hard .
It's easy to lose track of what is important with all this distraction around, but the healthy way to lose weight is to exercise more and have a solid diet packed with veggies, carbs, and lean sources of protein 🥦🥔🍗

Keep in mind guys, you have to put in the work outside of the gym as well, is part of the journey 💪🏻

My shin should follow the green line rather than the red. This indicates my rectus femoris is too tight. This is especially common in people who sit down for work and drive a lot. As the rectus femoris muscle attaches onto the front of the pelvis it can pull it forward and down when too tight causing excessive lumbar curvature and lower back pain. It's #monday tomorrow (or today) and the only question in your mind should be "How is this week going to be BETTER than the last week?"💥.⁠

While focussing on getting the "best" workout or eating the "cleanest most nutrient-dense" meal its easy to forget how it all ties together: the aim is to be consistent, not always precise. 💙Keeping a count of the essential pillars of a #fitlifestyle helps me stay #consistent & feel awesome! ⁠

🥗Plan the number of (balanced) salads you will eat this week. (My goals is 7).⁠

👣Plan the number Stretching & Foam Rolling sessions you will dedicate this week. These are 20 min sessions which can be done before/after a workout or independently on top of your workouts. (My goal is 4) ⁠

🥘Cooking Sessions - Learning how to cook delicious food has been a recent goal which I kept shelving under "I'm too busy". I plan on 3 sessions this week. ⁠

😴Prioritize catching up on sleep. We all live stressful lives and more often than not sleep is sacrificed. Catch up on sleep by sleeping an hour early on some days or catching a nap post-work. (My goal is 3 extra hours of sleep).⁠

🧠📱Mind Detox - Taking a break from the stream of information feels great especially if you are surrounded by screens 💻as your full-time job. (My goal is 4 5-hour period of no information). ⁠

🏋🏻Focussed Workouts - Training in a group can be a lot of fun, but so can #training by yourself. During these sessions, you connect with your own body & observe limits and push them. I usually train alone, but not every session is as focussed. So this week my aim is 3 focussed sessions.⁠
