भारतीय अंतरिक्क्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) ने बड़ी कामयाबी हासिल की है। इसरो ने बताया कि चंद्रयान 2 चंद्रमा की कक्षा में सफलतापूर्वक स्थापित हुआ। आज इसरो के चेयरमैन के. सिवन ने कहा कि चंद्रयान 2 मिशन ने आज एक अहम पड़ाव पार किया है। उन्होंने कहा, ''साउथ पोल में जिस जगह लैंड करना चाहते हैं उसके लिए आज की कक्षा बेहद जरूरी थी और हमने वो हासिल कर लिया।'' उन्होंने कहा कि 2 सिंतबर को लैंडर ऑर्बिटर से अलग होगा। सिवन ने कहा, ''सफल लैंडिंग का इतिहास सिर्फ 37% है लेकिन हमें पूरा भरोसा है कि हमें सफलता मिलेगी। हमने कड़ी मेहनत की है बढ़िया तैयारी की है सारे सिमुलेशन्स को सही तरीके से पूरा किया। जो भी मानवीय तरीके से संभव हैं हमने सबकुछ किया है। हमें भरोसा है कि हमारा मिशन कामयाब होगा।'' उन्होंने कहा कि चंद्रयान-2 सात सितंबर को 01 बजकर 55 मिनट पर चांद के सतह पर लैंड करेगा। इसरो चेयरमैन ने कहा, ''2 सिंतबर को लैंडर ऑर्बिटर से अलग होगा। इसके बाद 3 सितंबर को लगभग तीन सेकंड की एक छोटी-सी प्रक्रिया होगी, ताकि सुनिश्चित किया जा सके कि लैंडर के सभी सिस्टम सही काम कर रहे हैं।''

Lunar Orbit Insertion (LOI) of Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft. Dr K Sivan, Chairman, ISRO addressed and interacted with several regional, national and international media persons during the meet. The live 
telecast of this meet was made available on ISRO 
website and You tube Channel. 
In his briefing, Dr. Sivan announced that"The LOI 
maneuver was performed successfully today morning using the onboard propulsion system for a firing duration of about 29 minutes. This maneuver precisely injected #Chandrayaan-into an orbit around the Moon."He emphasised the unique requirement of 90 degree orbital inclination of Chandrayaan-2 and said that it was achieved by the precise execution of both the Trans Lunar Injection (performed on August 14, 2019) and today's LOI maneuver."The satellite is 
currently located in a lunar orbit with a distance of 
about 114 km at perilune (nearest point to the Moon) and 18, 072 km at apolune (farthest point to the 
Moon)", he added. 
Further, Dr Sivan added that till September 01, 2019, a 
series of four orbit maneuvers will be performed on 
Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft to enable it to enter its final orbit passing over the lunar poles at a distance of about 100 km from the Moon's surface. 
Subsequently, on September 02, 2019 the Vikram lander will separate from the Orbiter. Following this,orbit maneuvers will be performed on Vikram to place it in a 100 km X 30 km orbit around the Moon.Following this,Vikram will perform a series ofcomplex braking maneuvers to soft land in the Southpolar region of the Moon between two craters,
Manzinus C and Simpelius N on September 7,2019.

A few hours later,the Rover Pragyaan will roll down
from Vikram and will perform in situ exploration of the surrounding lunar surface.The briefing by Chairman,#ISRO was followed by along interactive session with the media.

They have densities of 1017 kg/m3(the Earth has a density of around 5×103kg/m3 and even white dwarfs have densities over a million times less) meaning that a teaspoon of neutron star material would weigh around a billion tonnes. The easiest way to picture this is to imagine squeezing twice the mass of the Sun into an object about the size of a small city!
