SelfCare - 18.5m posts

Life today has become a cacophony of noise, distorting our very beliefs, confusion and lies abound adding fuel our own self doubts - a constant struggle with self and ‘fitting’ in.

Take heed for within the very chaos of this lays the stillness and the answers you seek.

Everything is happening outside of yourself - the only thing that happens within is what you allow to enter.

So turn your back on that chaos, take time out - meditate, walk by the beach, go for a drive or spoil yourself with a weekend away. You deserve it!

This is where introspection and answers lie, have faith and trust the REAL information that already lays within you! ♥️🙏🏻 #love #loveyourself #loves #loveu #selfcare #selflove #self #entrepreneur #motivation #motivationalquotes #inspiration #inspirationalquotes #josiphalvaro #meditation

    Okay I cry... A LOT 😂
I would definitely describe myself as a happy person, I am pretty emotional though.
•
Now the point of me posting this isn’t to get sympathy or attention, I want to shed light on the fact that IT IS OKAY TO BE EMOTIONAL!
•
So if you are an emotional person like me...
YOU ARE NOT-🙅‍♀️
Weak
Self-pitying
An emotional mess
Unstable
Attention seeking
🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️
•
YOU ARE-💕
Gaining control
Progressing
On a journey
Having a release
💕💕💕💕
You are SOOO much stronger than you give yourself credit for! Stay strong warrior 💪

Through any journey we go on about ourselves...physically, spiritually, mentally...a lot of us are so hard on ourselves! Why?!?! STOP! ✋🛑 Do not continue to put yourself down...yeah...YOU! You are AMAZING! You are FABULOUS! I've learned to accept the more tough love approach these days. Suck it up...Get up Get Going...Move your ass...LOL... but I truly try not to be so hard on myself. I slip up...I'm human. But I usually come back to self love...tough love. And believe me theres a difference between tough love and LACK of self love. Find what works for you but I'm telling you as God as my witness 🙌Stop the Insanity of putting yourself down. #selfcare #selflove #youareamazing #youarefabulous #powerintheprocess #joyinthejourney

    I'm resting.
Taking a self care day.
Enjoying peace and quiet.
Giving my body the calm and solitude it needs to do that thing later this week.
Coming down off of pushing myself for days.
Gaining mental clarity without the noise of the world forcing it's way into my life.
I am just being... This is what we do when we don't answer. It is nothing personal.
These were my days lately. I do not feel well. I have a book due to the publisher in a few months and I am trying to get my head together. The quiet has been nice♡

A little late but repost of another piece I did for @nicolemjardim ! Check her out!
・・・
Endometriosis is estimated to affect approximately 10% of women of reproductive age, which is roughly 176 million women in the world. HUGE.⁣
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month and as it comes to a close, I wanted to share some facts about this condition in the hopes that it will help you if you suspect you have it or have been diagnosed with it.⁣
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⁣
Believe it or not, you actually do have control over this painful condition which means you can live with less or even no pain in some cases.⁣
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
Exploratory laparoscopy surgery is currently the only fully viable method to detect it. Because there is not a great non-invasive alternative for diagnosis, women can wait for up to twelve years to get a proper diagnosis! What often happens instead of a diagnosis is women are prescribed pain medication and antidepressants, and sent on their way.⁣
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
There is currently no known cure for endometriosis, but there is a lot that can be done. I break it down into three components.⁣
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
✔️1. According to the top endometriosis clinicians, the most important first step once endometriosis has been confirmed, is to find a SKILLED excision surgeon to remove the endometrial lesions and any scar tissue.⁣
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
✔️2. See a Pelvic Physical Therapist before, and after surgery to provide the best possible outcome for your recovery.⁣
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
✔️3. The third component of a well-rounded approach to endometriosis is nutrition, supplements and lifestyle changes.⁣
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
I go deep on my blog post about the nutrition aspect so educate yourself through my link in bio @nicolemjardim ⭐ Share with or tag someone who needs this info in the comments below.⁣

Earrings were always my favorite type of jewelry. I got my first pair - small gold mushrooms - for my 8th birthday. God I loved them. I wasn’t supposed to wear them until my newly pierced ears healed but I ignored that advice and got a whooping infection and the mushrooms disappeared into my swollen lobes and that was the end of that. And when I was 13 I decided I was a hippie and started wearing ONE huge peace sign earring to go with my new short haircut and “acid perm” that turned my once waist-length hair into a blond Bozo wig. The awkward phase of nightmares. More ear piercings from dirty vendors down on St. Mark’s Place in the Village followed. I even gave an ear piercing to a friend using a sewing needle “sterilized” over an open stove flame. Her father tried to kill her and me and I’m not entirely kidding. Point is, I loved my earrings. And then someone told me that earrings were “too feminine” and that if I was going to explore my sexuality I couldn’t possibly be wearing bangles, and dangles, and the hoops that I favored. This person proved to be a disaster in many ways but I listened to them and stopped wearing what I loved. I felt naked and not like myself and I ignored that part of me because I wanted to fit in based on one person’s interpretation of what and who I should be or look like. Not sure why it took me this long to reclaim this part of me but here I am. Which brings me to my point: Be who you are, wear what you want, and celebrate and bedazzle the sh*t out of the unique being that is you.💎💎

Tag someone who needs to see this.

We are usually much harder on ourselves than others. Sometimes you can be your own worst enemy. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re doing your best.

Love yourself and be proud of everything that you do. Even your mistakes mean that you’ve tried. Learn from your experiences.
