It's 23 days until 2020. Many of you have already begun to reflect on this year and have started to think about your resolutions for the next one.

Regardless how many things you want to do in the space of 365 days, it's important to remember that big goals require small wins in order for them to be achieved.

Yes aim for that 10 stone weight loss goal, or the 50kg increase on your Powerlifting total, or shaving 2 minutes off your marathon time. But when you break down it down to smaller chunks, what are pieces that you're left with to put the puzzle together?

Reverse engineer your goals. What are your current barriers in achieving them? What small changes can you make right now that will positively reinforce certain habits and take you one step further to achieving them? And for the over-thinkers, if it were easy, how would you do it?

See it like a recipe. You're not going to make a great meal without understanding the ingredients and method of cooking that go into the finished result. The process is what makes the dish. And fitness goals are no different.

So whilst it's good to set benchmarks, in order to actualise them, we need to win small, but often to keep that momentum going.

Here's some of last comps lifts, 3 successful attempts on squats @ 190kg, 200kg and 205kg. Not an amazing score, but I'm now at the same point where I left 8 months ago, without knee pain.
Many mistakes throughout, but I take it as a learning curve, for now, my focus is in my recovery.
I'll be posting my other lifts throughout the week, so stay tuned.

The start of another week and I just wanted to give a gentle reminder that's its okay to want to take care of yourself this side of the New Year.

There is no perfect moment to start, it's all in the small choices you want to make every day.

You don't need to eat those extra treats because it's Christmas, you don't need to drink those extra evenings for the meet ups and parties that come up at this time of year, you don't need to miss the workouts you had planned or would like to start.

The power is in your hands. You can if you want to, but if you don't want to, you can work on yourself and be a fitter, healthier, stronger you by the time 2020 hits. It's your December not what society decides. What do you want?

Sunday morning’s session provided for a great physical and mental challenge on bench - pressing 70kg x 5 reps, followed by 3 x 3 reps. ———————————————-
It was maybe not two and half years ago that I had to completely eliminate all chest work from my training programs due to a strain of the long head of my biceps brachiosaurus tendon. At first - I wasn’t overly fussed about not training chest. But eventually, I hated not being completely functional, as I pride myself in practicing what I preach, daily.

At this point, even a basic push was uncomfortable. But then, I became addicted to learning more about the body and about muscles in the rehab setting. Thanks to the knowledge I’ve gained from @fmastrengthinstitute and endless amount of practice in pre-activating, cue and drastically changing my technique - 💥 boom 70kg 😍 and only to keep increasing. I currently have no outcome goal for this, but I’m absolutely loving the process! 🙋🏼‍♀️🙌🏼💪🏼. ————————————————————————— This has again reinforced for me that you are your own biggest limitation. However, with the right coaching and support, you can take yourself, your lifestyle and your body anywhere you want 🙌🏼. _______________________________________________________

Die DM2019 ist beendet und es bleiben viele Eindrücke.

Natürlich stehen die beiden Medaillen von @lenatomkowiak (Deutsche Meisterin -55kg) und @seihan_weightlifting (Junior Bronze -67kg) ganz oben, wenn man das Wochenende revue passieren lässt. Mit dem Verlauf der Kategorie -55kg bin ich unglaublich glücklich. Ich habe versucht Lena mit der Versuchsauswahl und gezieltem Wegsteigern in eine möglichst gute Position zu bringen und Lena hat genau das abgerufen was notwendig war. Leider kann ich auf meine Trainerleistung bei @seihan_weightlifting nicht ganz so Stolz sein. Mit dem Ziel eine kürzere Aufwärmzeit zu generieren waren wir deutlich zu schnell mit den Aufwärmlasten fertig, bevor wir - ebenfalls deutlich zu früh- in den Vorbereitungsraum gingen um dort auf den ersten Versuch zu warten. Damit war der erste Versuch mit 95kg unkonzentriert und musste leider wiederholt werden. Seihan hat deutlich mehr drauf, als das was er im Reißen zeigen konnte und leider hat ihm das eine realistischere Möglichkeit auf den zweiten Platz genommen.
Daran erkennt man aber auch eine Deutsche Meisterschaft und dem schwer zu arbeitenden Umfeld. Ein unerwartetes Wegsteigern eines Konkurrenten würde bei den langen Weg zur Plattform katastrophal enden. Davon hab ich mich bisschen einschüchtern lassen.
Trotzdessen konnte Seihan mit 98kg und 120kg einen guten Wettkampf zeigen. (95x/95,98 und 115,120,124x)

Doch auch das erneute wiedertreffen alter Weggefährten war erneut ein riesen Vergnügen. Es ist immer wieder grandios diese junge Generation an Trainern und Sportlern zu treffen um sich auszutauschen und weiter zu verknüpfen.

Die DM2019 ist beendet und es bleiben viele Eindrücke.

Natürlich stehen die beiden Medaillen von @lenatomkowiak (Deutsche Meisterin -55kg) und @seihan_weightlifting (Junior Bronze -67kg) ganz oben, wenn man das Wochenende revue passieren lässt. Mit dem Verlauf der Kategorie -55kg bin ich unglaublich glücklich. Ich habe versucht Lena mit der Versuchsauswahl und gezieltem Wegsteigern in eine möglichst gute Position zu bringen und Lena hat genau das abgerufen was notwendig war. let’s talk FOOOOOOOD🌿🍏🍌🥑🍐

A lot of people have been asking me about my diet/macros/meal prep/recipes/finances etc. I’m going to start sharing more about my nutrition choices, what works for me and any tips & tricks to help you improve your nutrition and eating habits.

Where to start... the PLAN. Two years ago I got RP Strength diet templates which laid out my meals + macros for the day. I loved that this plan was simple. I knew exactly what to have and when to eat it. The timing worked around when I decided to train that day, so I was consuming the macros I needed to fuel my performance in the gym and recovery. I started to lose fat, gain muscle, and my body felt FUELED, not starved.

Another thing I love about RP is that it doesn’t have strict restrictions to your diet. You love PB, eat it! Peppers or cauliflower, your choice. (I’ll take bell peppers please 😋) The plan isn’t written in stone, you are the cook and can make your meals are fun or boring as you’d like!

For me, getting started with RP by having a set plan of what to eat and when to eat it took away the stress of not knowing what fuel my body needed. Playing the guessing game wasn’t working for me and I wasn’t seeing the results that I wanted in the gym or in the mirror. I wanted to look good and feel good. I’m still working to improve parts of my diet but with a set plan, I know I’m on the right track.

I usually post daily but this week was a lil hectic for Chlo.. woopsie.

I was super shocked by how little I was eating on my 3 days off last week. It made me realize how much food I can consume when I’m training 😁 The human body seriously blows my mind with how much it does for us without us thinking twice about. I would eat my usual breakfast and feel like throwing up because of how much food it was! Crazyy

Trying to get as much of a #legs #workout as I can with a torn MCL and labral tear in my hip ... heel slides, #quads sets, leg lifts, short arc quads, and bridges ... like a true old lady 👵🏼 But I’ll tell you, my left glutes are getting really #strong since I went down to 1 crutch 💪🏻 Hopefully I can hold onto some definition for the next 6 weeks 🙏🏻 .
