Remembering River Phoenix on his Birthday, he would have been 49 today. River did amazing work at such a young age and was striving to make the world a better place. He was an incredible talent and I wish we had him with us today. Rest In Peace River 🙏
"It's not about career. It's about believing in something, it's about prosperity and it's about caring and emphasizing and wanting to create the best, the most true to life, the most real."

Greg Sestero stated that when he was writing the book, Tommy Wiseau said that only two actors could play him in the adaptation: James Franco or Johnny Depp. Wiseau, who claims to have once lived in New Orleans, was a fan of Franco's performance in the film Sonny (2002).

// I just read an online debate that was sparked by an Asian-American creative who expressed that “doing what you do JUST for ‘Asian representation’ is such a cop out reason.” I see where they’re coming from but representation still matters & it is still vital in the media. Media IS representation. Of course, some may exploit the labels of their identity. And creating art just for representation alone is not truly the artist’s goal. Create the story first. Everything else comes second. I don’t create stories FOR Asian-American representation. I create stories that happen to have my identity and culture woven into it — because it is deeply rooted in me. Representation of any marginalized community is still NECESSARY. It makes us feel seen. Validated. Known. Human. Tag your fave fire POC female filmmaker who needs to hear this 🎥✨ // #femalefilmmakerfriday
