Un impiegato di ufficio trascorre tante ore seduto alla sua postazione (anche troppe…). Se in questo tempo si assumono posture ergonomiche e fisiologicamente favorevoli alla salute della colonna vertebrale si potranno limitare disagi nel lungo termine per la schiena, il bacino, il collo, le spalle e le gambe.

Purtroppo non tutti sono attenti alla postazione e questo impone uno stress posturale particolarmente incisivo su tutto il corpo.
L’organizzazione “ideale” della propria postura tra la sedia ed il piano di lavoro potrebbe essere l’inizio di una buona presa di coscienza.
A volte dei piccoli accorgimenti posso fare grandi differenze... 😊

It went good, overall with the actual surgery part & surgery wounds I am doing pretty good, not s whole lot of horrific pain or nothing. Some stabbing pain in my ribs, slight strong soreness, and I have to avoid certain positions that bring pain. But it'd great other than that

I had some major problems with my nurse, before surgery. She was Chinese (not racist just helps the story be understood) but she had difficulty telling me what she needed to in english, and barely understood me when I asked questions. I was stuffed in this little room that was sectioned off with office cubicles. There was only enough room for the Hospital bed, and the person who came with me to sit in a chair w knees touching the bed.
My surgeon came in last minute, and walk in saying we have to mark you, we have to have you sit up. Then he, and some guy that followed him on stood by my bed as if they were getting ready to talk to me (I was laying flat, due to my severe pain)[Also the bed was a crank bed, not a normal Hospital bed] but within seconds the head of my bed shot up like a cannon. It jerked me hard, and sent my pain level to numbers that don't exist in the medical world. It took for ever to calm it down to normal severe & I couldn't stop shaking. I said to my surgeon in s lower angry voice - "A notification would have been nice" #DrMarkRayHoeprich responded very hastily with excuses, and lies. Slong with the statement " I told you I needed you to sit up" Also not once apologizing for ever hurting me. He flung that bed up on purpose. He purposely physically & medically abused me. @sloankettering you need to investigate!!! I have reason to believe he was respectful at me for not coming in Tuesday instead for surgery (I didn't have cardiac clearance), then I believe he got mad that I was unable to come in the 2 hours earlier on the 13th because he was ahead of his game (there was no way I could have) but I believe he was mad @ me & took it out physically on me. He was also short & didn't listen much when I saw him in office. Also after surgery he DID NOT call

It went good, overall with the actual surgery part & surgery wounds I am doing pretty good, not s whole lot of horrific pain or nothing. Some stabbing pain in my ribs, slight strong soreness, and I have to avoid certain positions that bring pain. But it'd great other than that

She was Chinese (not racist just helps the story be understood) but she had difficulty telling me what she needed to in english, and barely understood me when I asked questions. The only reason your feet hurt when you start to go barefoot is that our western feet have been conditioned so much to wear shoes we have forgotten to feel. .

We forget to use the 33 joints, 27 bones and 4 layers of muscle that make up just one foot! .
If you want to move better start with your foundation. .

How?

Take your shoes off as Soon as your home.
Feel how your feet connect with the earth and notice if you splay inward or outward. There is a good chance if you have a medial rotation you're going to have hips that rotate inwards too. This means your knees and lumbar spine will suffer. .

Stand on one foot daily trying not to grip with your toes for at least two mins each day for a month. Be consistent and see what you can find.

When I was diagnosed with #Fibromyalgia, the doctor looked at me and said “it’s okay, we have wonderful pain killers these days ...” I was only 23 years old.

He went on to tell me that I have an “overactive nervous system” and “more nerve endings in my body” which is why I am so sensitive to the touch. He also told me “there is no cure and I’d always have pain.”😔

In a way however, this made me feel validated because growing up I never wanted anyone to touch me and even the slightest bump or bruise felt like I got run over by a truck.

But ugh, I didn’t want to take pain killers ... I hated feeling groggy and out of it. There had to be another way.

My personality is such that if you tell me “there is no cure”, I’ll prove you wrong or at least make a concerted effort.🤓

So that is what I did... I began my search (& study) of how to heal myself.

My search lead me to something miraculous. It’s called the mind-body connection and it absolutely changed my life.

All those feelings of not being good enough, bitterness, resentment and stress ... they were causing my “overactive nervous system” to be on high alert. My body stored negative emotion like a sponge and the end result was body pain, migraines and exhaustion.

I learned that my “sensitivity” is actually a gift when I use it mindfully.🧘🏼‍♀️ I learned that controlling stress, controls my symptoms and most importantly, I found out that being gentle and kind to myself is more powerful than any drug I could take.

It’s taken me over 20 years to finally arrive at this place in my life, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I now have the pleasure of sharing with others how to connect inward. I teach people through yoga and Pilates how to listen to their body, release stress & feel amazing!

I help others, no matter what they are going through, learn to be gentle and kind to themselves.🙏🏻

💥 Hip Flexor Strength Part 2💥

🔹 While there a numerous muscles that contract to flex the hip, two of the main muscles include the iliopsoas and rectus femoris muscles. As we’ve included in previous posts, these muscles can become overactive and 🔒tight🔒, which can be relieved through stretches. Once the muscles are at an improved length, it is EXTREMELY important to begin strengthening! Hip flexor strength is essential for running🏃🏻‍♂️, competitive sports⚽️, rock climbing🧗🏼‍♀️ and CrossFit 🏋🏼‍♂️activities. .

🔹Weak hip flexors can cause pain and difficulty with many recreational activities. A solid strength program has the potential to prevent strains, which is common among young athletes. Over the next few weeks, we will be focusing on different muscle contraction progressions to OPTIMIZE hip flexor strength, while maintaining CORE STABILITY.
.
🔹In this video, we focus on eccentric strengthening in an exercise that allows the muscle to contract in a more lengthened position. 💥 Hip Flexor Strength Part 2💥

🔹 While there a numerous muscles that contract to flex the hip, two of the main muscles include the iliopsoas and rectus femoris muscles. As we’ve included in previous posts, these muscles can become overactive and 🔒tight🔒, which can be relieved through stretches. Once the muscles are at an improved length, it is EXTREMELY important to begin strengthening! Hip flexor strength is essential for running🏃🏻‍♂️, competitive sports⚽️, rock climbing🧗🏼‍♀️ and CrossFit 🏋🏼‍♂️activities. .

🔹Weak hip flexors can cause pain and difficulty with many recreational activities. A solid strength program has the potential to prevent strains, which is common among young athletes. Over the next few weeks, we will be focusing on different muscle contraction progressions to OPTIMIZE hip flexor strength, while maintaining CORE STABILITY.

🔹In this video, we focus on eccentric strengthening in an exercise that allows the muscle to contract in a more lengthened position. 17 DAYS POST BACK SURGERY TODAY and here is the update:

I feel fricking AMAZING. Like NO PAIN. I can sleep through the night, I can sit without pain, I sneeze without bracing myself, I can walk without pain, I can workout with out pain... holy moly guacamole. Why the heck did I wait so long to do this.

Here is what I learned...
-
YOU at your core KNOW what you need. Do not let insurance, doctors, friends, social media, others opinions dictate your treatment.
-
The people pleaser in me who was scared of judgement did everything else first : Chiro, PT, PRP, cortisone, Sarno’s teaching (emotional sessions), trauma healing, pills, potion, traction, medex, high levels of NSAIDS, natural remedies, you NAME IT.
-
My nutrition, training all helped manage the pain and brought it down but I KNEW I needed the laser endoscopic. It was life changing with my rupture a few years ago and I knew it would fix this problem. I visualized, mediated, asked my higher self and the word “decompression” kept coming to me and I did not listen for a year and 1/2.
-
And I almost did a fusion despite the risk because that’s what insurance would cover.

Dang.... so glad I listened to ME.
And so glad @chollkimmd is a genius at what he does....

Biggest challenge now is “taking it slow” as I feel like a million bucks.

My healing plan?
-
5 days a week working out and taking it slow- super focussed on my core strength
-
Eating anti inflammatory and healing foods like what I teach in my @aginginreverse_book and what I’ll be going deep with in my BackToBASIX challenge that starts in January (link in my bio)

Cryotherapy
HBOT as soon as I can find a place in San Diego that has hard chambers
PT
Daily walking
