    It’s crazy how powerful the mind is, and how it literally controls the outcome of anything we do and can also self destruct ourselves mentally just by looking in that mirror and not being happy with what we see, be strong and when in doubt just look how far you have come and remember it’s the journey not the finished product that you are looking at.

    ✨How to balance your health and university✨

Wether you are also working or just going to school, university takes up a ton of time. Even online classes, though you’re not on campus, take up time. That’s the excuse I hear most from people my age, “I don’t have time”. Well, yes you do. -
“Okay, that’s great but that doesn’t give me more time?” No, but it does make you think about your priorities. Your health should be number one, even through college. How do you expect to succeed in class if you aren’t feeling your best? So here are some of my tips to balancing school and fitness to help you out: 
1. Every college has a gym, if you don’t have the time to drive to a separate location, just head to the campus gym before or after class. It’s also usually free to students so you don’t have to pay for any memberships! 
2. Find ways to incorporate movement into your studies. It’s easy to sit at a desk all day, but your mind is also so much less stimulated. Try watching your lecture video while riding a stationary bike or walking on a treadmill. You’ll be benefiting your cardiovascular health and will be able to focus better during and after your exercise. Another way I do this is stretching while doing schoolwork. 
3. Realize that your workout can be “me time”. It is your time to step away from school, forget about upcoming exams and assignments; and just get in tune with your body. 
4. Stop buying shitty food. It’s really that simple. If you don’t buy it, you won’t eat it. Shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables is much less expensive than junk food anyway, so your wallet will thank you as well! 
5. Take food with you!! If you have already bought your fav healthy treats, just throw them In your bag. That way when you get hungry on campus, you’ll have that as opposed to stopping at the vending machine and buying those cookies. (Though every once in a while just buy the cookie)

    This workout was rough. I was on vacation on Lake Travis and got a bad sunburn. So all things considered I’m happy with it.
