My younger self would be in disbelief right now over the fact that I’m sharing a picture of myself in a bikini for the world to see. She would be in awe & amazement. She would think I was brave & she’d be so proud of me. If that’s not a true testament to how far I’ve come I don’t know what is. Today I am celebrating being me and everything that comes with it. I am practicing patience and kindness & self love. Today I am reminding myself that I am enough just as I am, that I don’t have to be anything less or anything more. 💗

Why do I look like I have long legs here? I can assure you that I most certainly do not 😂

Since being on placement I have literally forgotten how to uni and now I’m struggling to get back into the routine of actually writing assignments and doing reading 😂 I’m having a rest day tomorrow so I can get my head down and do some uni work🤓

Feeling leaner and leaner as the days go on which is a bonus, we’ll see if there has been any weight change on Saturday, but if there hasn’t I really don’t care because as long as I feel happy in myself, that’s all that matters 🥰

‘I love this body of mine because she’s ALL MINE’ - 1 Month Post Explant 🤍

I read this great quote by @sweatwithbec and just thought that’s exactly how I feel – no foreigns and surely but slowly getting rid of the toxins. I was so nervous before my op in case I got them removed and nothing changed but also as to what I would look like but I’m actually so happy and feel like me again – I genuinely love my itty bitty titties like I should’ve done in the first place 🤍

Can’t believe it’s been a month already but life and recovery is going well. Some days are better than others but that will happen as it can take time but all of my symptoms have either gone or reduced significantly which I’m really pleased about. Overall I’m on the up and have so much more energy without sinking endless cups of coffee - I now have no caffeine at all and feel SO much better 🤍

Still a way to go but I’m doing everything I can to help detox my body - as I mentioned in yesterday’s post. Genuinely impressed myself with some of the food I’ve made haha and I’ve even started eating some foods I’ve always disliked so every cloud and all that. Only 1 more week left of low intensity exercise before I can start hoying weights around again and I can’t wait! But it has been nice to have a bit of down time to rest my body after so much stress on my body 🤍

It’s been a big change mentally as well as physically but I’m really genuinely so happy with my decision to take back control of my body and my health. I thought having bigger boobs would make me happier and they really didn’t – they helped my confidence in certain clothes but they weren’t the be all and end all. I’m not against plastic surgery as that’s personal choice but honestly from experience my best advice would be to just love yourself as you are because plastic surgery only changes the outside, it doesn’t change what’s on the inside 🤍

Anyone else ever feel this way? I could say I have been criticizing myself my whole life, and I am finally not only approving but loving my new, healthy body. Kris and I are going on vacation for our anniversary and I bought a couple new swimsuits. I bought sizes that felt comfortable and didn’t pay attention to the numbers. And you know why, even when I weighed 100 lbs (you could see my entire rib cage) on our honeymoon I was still embarrassed to be “seen” in a swim suit. I intend to rock the heck out of my new suit, and doing it with a healthy mindset. The part I have found fascinating about recovery is before I started healing the outside, the inside came first. I am still learning how to process feelings and not using food as a way to cope instead of acknowledging those feelings and moving on. Na trzech najbliższych zdjęciach wyjątkowo - bo jak wiecie, to się nie zdarza - będę ja.
Chciałabym napisać parę ważnych słów o ciele, o nagim ciele, o aktach, o wizerunku kobiet w mediach. Wolę podpisać takie słowa swoją buzią, po prostu.
Piszę to teraz, bo w ubiegły weekend dwa dni z rzędu miałam robione akty i nie-akty. Stanęłam przed jednym zupełnie nieznanym, a drugim znanym i kochanym obiektywem. Ściągnęłam z siebie ubrania i pozwoliłam działać. Bałam się tego, co nam wyjdzie, jak to będzie, jak się zachowam. Byłam jednak zupełnie spokojna i wyluzowana. Było jak miało być. Rzecz się działa, ciało trwało, tworzyła się mała historia. Efekty były jakie jakich oczekiwałam - piękne. Pracowałam z dwoma przezdolnymi fotografami, atmosfera była cudowna. Jednak - co najważniejsze, ja czułam się bezpiecznie i dobrze. Tak zwyczajnie, po ludzku. Na zdjęciach widać mnie i moje nagie ciało, ale nie jest to ani wyuzdane, ani wulgarne, ani złe - po prostu jest. Tak jak ma być. Zwyczajnie.
Nauczyliśmy się złych rzeczy: albo negujemy ciało, tworzymy wokół niego tematy tabu, albo emanujemy nim, świecąc na prawo i lewo piersiami czy pupą (nie powiem nawet o tym, jak bardzo mierzi mnie uprzedmiotowienie kobiet w przypadku marketingu). Zapomnieliśmy jednak, że to tylko - aż - nasza fizyczność, nic niezwykłego. Że to my. I już. Tak samo jak kolor włosów, kształt paznokci, odcień zębów - wygląd ciała to coś, co ma każdy z nas. Owszem, każde różni się od drugiego, ale nie ma w tym wielkiej filozofii. Nie róbmy z ciała dramy.

Forever remembering the time I photographed Martha for Ladygroove. I miss the way my body felt around so much flesh. All kinds and colors and shapes of flesh. I miss that. And I’m finding a lot of empowerment and connection at trying my hand at new things without the weight to create, produce, market, and start again. I think of new businesses I could create weekly. And then I let them go. The entrepreneur and philanthropist inside me is always vying for a front spot but I’m just enjoying the ease of being on the planet without surrendering to the need for more. Thank you for continuing to follow. I’m learning a lot for Season 2.

Yesterday I had caught myself saying out loud “ew” when I saw my reflection of a side view of my legs, which have cellulite, dimples, but also muscle... Typically I don’t say things like that anymore. Normally I catch myself, in my head, before my thoughts become hurtful. But I slipped up. The rest of the night I was thinking about how maybe I’ve gained weight, because my pants ripped earlier today and I just saw myself in the mirror...but how can that be when I was just last week thinking how good I was doing in maintaining my weight and body image.
This morning I was considering how far I’ve come with self-talk. I’m still not perfect (obviously), but it takes a long time to retrain your brain to do something polar opposite than you’ve been doing for...well probably your whole life!
Give yourself a break even when you slip up and are not kind to your body.
Recognize it for what it is and don’t be afraid to feel.
Then, carry on working hard to speak kindly to yourself. 😌

I've been continuing to select and edit our new web images this week and am getting there. 💚

The new format, pictured above, makes it easy to see which of our styles are now available in our size small (uk8-10) - XX large (uk 24-26) and all our measurements can be found in our 'size guide' page located on the footer of our website. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've been updating the images to show the different fits too, which is an exciting new step towards inclusiveness. Now, when you click on your size within a product listing an image of the closest size model will show, so you can more accurately see if it's the piece that you're looking for. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've also included information in the top left corner about where each piece is made (currently everything is made to order by my Mum, Mims) and what fabric it is made of. 🇬🇧

I've been continuing to select and edit our new web images this week and am getting there. 💚

The new format, pictured above, makes it easy to see which of our styles are now available in our size small (uk8-10) - XX large (uk 24-26) and all our measurements can be found in our 'size guide' page located on the footer of our website. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've been updating the images to show the different fits too, which is an exciting new step towards inclusiveness. Now, when you click on your size within a product listing an image of the closest size model will show, so you can more accurately see if it's the piece that you're looking for. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've also included information in the top left corner about where each piece is made (currently everything is made to order by my Mum, Mims) and what fabric it is made of. 🇬🇧

Before reading this post I want to express the gratitude I have for my own body and how lucky I am to be able to move as much as I can. I understand everyone is unique as are their abilities. When I use the term 'Movement' I mean every form of movement from deep breathing and stretching your arms above your head to running a marathon.

I believe movement is a radical form of self care, because when society makes greed and laziness so very easily accessible, it takes determination, discipline and dedication to keep active. It takes resistance to the brain-washing that is delivered to the masses.

Ever wondered why the McDonald's poster on every bus stop isn't an advert for movement or meditation or any other practice of well being?
.
Ask questions. Listen to your gut. Do you honestly think eating animals' body parts encourages good health? Not only is it entirely unnecessary and cruel, it's totally unkind to the physical vessel we have been gifted with. Number 1 carcinogenic's like the flesh of a pig who has been slaughtered or the stolen period of a female chicken WILL cause disease such as cancer. The globe's enemy is being fed every day. .
There is enough evidence should you want to make conscious choices. No one else can take this responsibility. We must individually ask ourselves, where we want to give our energy and what energy we want to consume. Animals are genetically manipulated to grow large and fast and pumped with antibiotics. Not only do the victims not deserve this utter exploitation but by consuming this forcible use of another being, be sure to accept the energy that comes with that.

I have a tiny booty.

I just do.

I always have.

And yes, I do my hip thrusts, squats, lunges, glute bridges, glute activation, you name it.
But, you know what? My booty is still small.

I was genetically predisposed to have my father’s rear-end. And that’s okay.

On the other hand, I have pretty muscular shoulders.
I’ve always had them.
Sure, weight-lifting, yoga, and my lifting routine have helped, but I am also genetically predetermined to have my father’s shoulders.
And I love that.

I’m here to tell you:
No matter WHAT your body looks like. You do NOT have to kill yourself trying to achieve perfect glutes or chiseled abs. Sometimes, there are things that we are just not born with the ability to achieve healthily.
What parts of YOU can you love today? Maybe you have super beautiful eyes...a super petite build... muscular thighs..WHATEVER!
I say that it’s time to throw in the towel. Let’s stop trying to achieve things that other women were blessed with. Find YOUR OWN goal for YOUR BODY TYPE.
And work towards the best YOU. Not the imitation of someone else.

I was so nervous about taking my slightly wobbly post natal body over to LA - the land of beauty and perfection!
.
But here’s the thing, it made no difference to my existence or enjoyment of the holiday. I showed up, I ignored the doubt in my mind, I was so happy in my own skin and I had one of the best holidays of my life.
.
It’s ok to be scared or anxious (trust me, I’ve been there time and time again), but keep fighting those insecurities, be brave and above all, embrace yourself for everything you are.

Something amazing happens when you let go of society’s version of you and embrace the you that you are.

For me it looked like dressing the body I had at that moment. It looked like letting go of what my insecurities were telling me I should look like. Through boudoir I was able to see past the mirror and into my soul. I saw the me that I am and that what I offer the world. .
.
This post is also to celebrate holding boundaries and aligning with those alongside my path. My girl @vibe.boudoir was and is a huge part of my journey. So I want to shout her out to simply say congratulations and thank you. .

Rice 😍 always been a safe food me, and still is. I love it so much, thought I’m rubbish at cooking it. I’ve finally found the right rice to water ratio that works for me. I do 1 part rice, 3 parts water, let it boil down then add some more water to ‘double boil’ the rice. I always end up with nice fluffy rice 😍

I tried a new recipe tonight, sautéed the prawns in butter (!!) and garlic. Soooo good 😍😋 I was stressing at first when I saw the recipe called for bitter, it it it turned out soo yum! The butter gave the prawns such nice flavouring.

For ages, I’d avoid adding butter or oil to any of my food. Rexie would tell me to have dry, bland foods.. not anymore 💁🏽‍♀️ I’ve started to use butter and oil during my recovery and get this, nothing bad has happened to my body! Only positive and beneficial changes 🥰

Nach dem Training müssen wir unseren Körper ausreichend mit Kohlenhydraten und Proteinen versorgen. Unsere Glykogenspeicher wieder füllen und die Muskelproteine wieder aufbauen. Warum sind Proteine und Kohlenhydrate besonders in der Mahlzeit nach dem Training (etwa ein Zeitfenster von 45Min-2Std) wichtig? Um ⠀
📌 die Regeneration zu fördern⠀
📌den Abbau von Muskelproteinen zu verringern ⠀
📌 die leeren Glykogenspeicher zu füllen ⠀
📌 den Muskelaufbau zu unterstützen ⠀
Für mich ist die Mahlzeit nach dem Training die wichtigste am Tag um meinen Körper effektiv und ausreichend zu versorgen und dem Körper das zu geben, was er im Training verbraucht hat - die richtige Energie in Form von Kohlenhydraten und ausreichend Proteine, damit das Training auch effektiv seine Wirkung zeigt.💪🏼

Let’s talk about it.

Today’s nutrition and diet culture revolves around getting quick results while doing as little work as possible.

Fasting: You don’t NEED to fast to balance your hormones. Try eating a regular 3-4 meals a day and listening to your hunger and fullness cues. Exercise a few times a week. Build healthy habits. If you fast, you’ll be losing water weight, some muscle, and some fat. Once you begin eating again, it’ll come back. If you’re doing a religious fast, that’s different.

Keto: why do it unless you have to? You’re eliminating a perfectly good macronutrient that comes alongside a ton of vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

Cleanses: another quick fix that usually results in weight rebound. Not only is it a marketing scheme, but it’s dishonest. We already have two detoxifying organs that cleanse for us. Fasting: You don’t NEED to fast to balance your hormones. Try eating a regular 3-4 meals a day and listening to your hunger and fullness cues. Exercise a few times a week. Build healthy habits. If you fast, you’ll be losing water weight, some muscle, and some fat. Once you begin eating again, it’ll come back. If you’re doing a religious fast, that’s different.

Keto: why do it unless you have to? You’re eliminating a perfectly good macronutrient that comes alongside a ton of vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

Cleanses: another quick fix that usually results in weight rebound. Not only is it a marketing scheme, but it’s dishonest. We already have two detoxifying organs that cleanse for us. Why not start with armpit hair? This shot doesn’t do my “arm beard” (that’s what the twins call it) justice, but here it is in its half-hearted glory. I shave. Then I won’t shave for months. Then I’ll shave again. I like being aware of my social discomfort when i have hair there. It makes me realize how much of an expectation it is to be hairless. I second-guess wearing tank tops, but then I tell myself I’m too damn liberated to feel discomfort, so when I wear them anyway and feel awkward all day, I watch to see if other people have any negative appraisals of my fur. No one has said anything, but sure would be vindicating if they did! As of now, the discomfort is squarely inside my head...and maybe stuck in their heads too? I sometimes think I see a mouse or a cat out of the corner of my eye, but then I realize it was just my arm beard when I raised my arms up to redo my ponytail. Did I mention the scent is also a bit revved up? Nothing I’ve gotten pulled over for though! Im thinking of trying a glitter bomb in my pits before my next shave - a little celebration before deforestation. How to stop that post-shave itch? Wir können uns jeden Tag Fotos von Personen anschauen, wo wir denken, dass sie uns als Vorbild dienen obwohl sie uns oft ins negative runterziehen. This took more confidence to post than it usual would for me. I’ve been battling so bad with body confidence lately. I post so much body positivity online but believe me I still suffer with hating my body sometimes too. I’ve always struggled with my relationship with my body but my head has really tested me lately, I battle with myself in my own head whether I’m having a good or bad body image day. I know deep down it’s just my head playing games with me and I am happy but just remember all the images you see on the media aren’t always how they seem, be kind to yourself and love yourself for you🥰 #bodypositivity
