I love smoothies for #breakfast 😊They’re a quick and easy way to get high quality nutrients into my first meal and I can whip one up and drink it on the way to work.
Today’s concoction: frozen cherries, strawberries and peaches, orange juice, a banana, water, elderberry syrup and vanilla superfoods!
It was delicious. Sometimes I use half a banana, yogurt, or skip the juice. I’ve been sick forever so I figured I can use the vitamin C.

Caprese Pizza! This is soooo easy and delicious - Spread 2tbsp basil pesto on a pre-made pizza crust (I used Boboli Thin Crust), then evenly sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella , then add some spices tomatoes and bake for 8-10 minutes at 450. Then drizzle with balsamic glaze and top with a sprinkle of fresh basil. Voila! (4.5pp per slice)

Skipping breakfast.

After 8 to 12 hours without food, the body needs refueling.

Most people would agree in this point but fail to act on it.
Don't feel like eating, no time, or I will grab something on the way and routine will take over which will lead to miss the breakfast time.

After skipping breakfast we feel so hungry that mostly will gorge on candy, pastries or whatever we see in the refrigerator. And plus end up eating during day and night in a much bigger portions and then comes another day in the same circle.

However, even those under time pressure can prepare and eat nutritious breakfast in less than 10 minutes. Plan ahead to allow more time for eating and less for preparation. ⠀
✅make a breakfast shake
✅make a breakfast salad
✅old fashioned oats soaked overnight
✅ or try a breakfast sandwich, simply avocado toast.

Lemon blueberry almond loaf cake is up on the blog. This recipe was inspired by @ottolenghi recipe from his new cookbook Simple.
The almond and lemon flavors work so well together and the burst of blueberries are just what I’m looking for as winter slowly winds down.
I’ll be honest, I’ve made SO many loaves of this lovely little cake. And I would eat it every day no problem. It’s sweet, dense, crumbly and so perfect.

The ultimate healthy breakfast recipe, this peanut butter banana oatmeal is creamy, voluminous and will keep you full all morning long! Plus it only takes about 10 minutes to make. All you need is:

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup old fashioned oats, 1 banana, sliced (save a few for topping)1 Tablespoon chia seeds, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, pinch of sea salt, 2 cups of milk, 2 Tablespoons peanut butter or another type of nut butter, 4 Strawberries.

INSTRUCTION:

Add oats, banana slices, chia seeds, cinnamon and sea salt to a pot. Add milk and stir to combine. Heat over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed.

Be sure to stir the oats several times while cooking to make sure the banana slices melt into the oats and the chia seeds don’t clump.

You’ll know the oatmeal is done when all the liquid is absorbed and the oats are thick and fluffy. Serve with peanut butter, banana slices, and a sprinkle of chia seeds and strawberries. Add a splash milk and/or maple syrup or honey on top before serving. Enjoy!

I care about keeping my body healthy as best I can. This means, fueling it with healthy ingredients and indulging when necessary. This means, practicing yoga, stretching, meditating-all without judgement.

This means pushing myself when and where I need and backing off when it feels necessary.

I care about how my body moves and what it does for me. I listen to my body and follow where it wants to go. 🧚
