Anyone who knows me knows that I hate traveling to the same country more than once, let alone going back to the same resort. I have an endless bucket list of places I want to go to and things I want to do.

When I think of the epitome of happiness, peace and tranquility, this is where I imagine myself. Looking out at the ocean, surrounded by the luscious green nature. I soak it in and it never gets old. The more I come here, the more I see, the more I notice, the more I breathe, the more I learn. I slow down (something I rarely do) AND I jump for joooooooy 😄😄

Mindset... When it comes to our fertility and reproductive health it’s important to do the work on our mindset.
Everything begins in the mind. Our body is always listening to the mind and it follows and believes what the mind whispers.

So if you think you can or you can’t your right! However we forget that we get to decide, and even though we’ve maybe believed that something wasn’t possible for us, that we couldn’t do it, that doesn’t have to stay as our story. We can begin to start reframing and unpicking these limiting beliefs.

Anything is possible, take a deep breath, close your eyes and allow that to sink in! Anything is possible.

Namaste 🧘‍♀️ today’s yoga was super relaxing. With lupus cutaneous it is recommended to do yoga to help with stress. I am thankful I also have access to yoga in my online workouts. Living a healthy, happy and rewarding life is something I wish for everyone. Becoming fit and strong physically, mentally and emotionally is crucial to achieve this. .
I have spent over 15 years in the health and wellness industry, including my work as a qualified naturopath and nutritionist. I truly believe that movement, nourishing food, social connection, quality sleep, time in nature, living mindfully with gratitude and having fun are game changers for good and long lasting health and well being. I recognize that we are all different and I’m passionate about finding out what works best for each individual to help them make lasting changes and achieve their health goals.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’m a mother of 4 beautiful (and active!) boys. My husband, Cal, has had demanding roles in the corporate world for over 20 years so I understand that life can be busy. One of the things I love most about my job is my interaction with our members. We are so very lucky to have such a friendly, warm, caring, fun and inspiring community and I think of the Elevation family as being an extension of my own.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Wellness Wednesday 🙌🏼

Waking up at 4 this morning courtesy of my little one after her being up through the night always leaves me feeling pretty tired & stressed out particularly when I know in a few hours time I have to switch from “mummy mode” into “work mode” When I feel like this I always find meditation works immensely just to help me regain some focus, energy & reduce my stress levels 🙏 The beauty of meditation also means I don’t have to put on my gym gear or get in my car & go somewhere - in the comfort of my own home whilst still in my comfy pyjamas I can stick on my peaceful meditation playlist courtesy of @spotify & just be 🙌🏼 Meditating has 101 health benefits including improving concentration, reducing stress & anxiety levels and helping to enhance your own self awareness. Basic rules of meditation? Sit somewhere quietly, close your eyes, focus in on your breath but don’t force the breath, let it stay natural and flowing but rather focus in on your body & how it moves with each inhale & exhale 💜 Happy Wednesday folks 😘

"Da jeg var liten, lærte jeg at det å ikke stå på, jobbe, få ting gjort, og hjelpe til hele tiden var det samme som å være lat", sa kvinnen i 40 årene. "Lat, lærte jeg at var et skjellsord. Jeg vet ikke hvor mange ganger min pappa omtalte andre som late med en tone so. Ikke kunne misforståes.", fortsatte hun. "Så ble jeg syk. Ufør. Kroppen satte rett og slett ned foten. Det værste med det, er skammen. Nå er jeg blant de late...". Hennes far sine ord møter henne som et ekko i eget hode mange ganger hver dag. Det har blitt viktig for henne å bevise sin sykdom. Rettferdiggjøre at hun ikke lenger kan pushe seg selv. Hun revnet på midten. Smerter og med fratatt opplevelse av energi. En kropp som på alle måter satte en stopper.
En stopp for hva?
Den rovdriften hun i 35 år hadde drevet på seg selv.
Lang karriere med å bevise "jeg er god nok!". Nå begynner hun å se hva som har drevet henne og følte at hun innimellom var på god vei til å få bedre dager. Økt livskvalitet.
Så skjedde det noe som sendte henne syv mil tilbake: "Hun kom rett bort til meg og sa at jeg burde skamme meg! Jeg som kan være på tur i skogen, gå på cafe og være ute! Jeg som liksom er så syk! Alt jeg er, sa hun, er LAT!" Kvinnen begynte å gråte.
Der var det igjen.
Nå er tiden inne for å få hjelp til å endre på det som er lagret. Jeg er takknemlig for at jeg får lov til å hjelpe henne.
En absolutt nødvendighet dersom hun skal leve i en best mulig kropp og med et best mulig sinn.
Pappa sin dømming av andre må bli sett på med andre øyne.
Den lille jenta som ble rammet må få trøst og ubetinget kjærlighet.
Kvinnen i dag må gi seg selv ubetinget kjærlighet.
Hun er på vei.
På vei til indre ro.

much appreciation to my family who allows themselves to be filled with the Holy Spirit ultimately healing and connecting on a completely different level
There are several words
in the Bible
especially within the Old Testament
which can be linked to energy
being something with the inherent power to do work
or create change.
Examples include ruach
which means spirit,
breath or wind
which would be an example of
kinetic (movement) energy.
In Genesis 1, we are introduced to
the Ruach Kodesh (Holy Spirit)
hovering and moving
over the face of the deep
and John 3: 8 reads:
“The wind blows where it wishes.
You hear its sound,
but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going.
So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
Yah’s Spirit also has a voice and moves to and fro, in fact, Yah’s Spirit carries the Word of Yah and is the active element of the triune nature of Yah that enables the Word to be fulfilled.
Another example
is the Hebrew word “chai”
which means life from the
famous Hebrew toast “L’chaim”
or “to Life”. This basically refers back to the health-bringing vitality and vibrancy power inherent within us.

'Just Breathe'
Something that I have had to remind myself of lately.
When we enter into that fight or flight mode it's easy for everything else to go out the window... our slow nourishing breathing; self-care rituals; self-enquiry; meditation; nutrient dense food... the list goes on. But of course, this is when we need all of these tools the most.
It's time to tap back in, this is your permission slip to take 5 minutes... Grab an essential oil, pop a drop in your hand, cup both hands over your nose and inhale for a few breaths.
Now find a comfy spot to sit, close your eyes and follow the breath... in through the nose all the way down, feeling the belly rise up...pause... and let it out slowly out of the mouth... pause... soften the shoulders and the face. AND REPEAT for 5 minutes or as long as required.

Check back in and notice how you are feeling.
Happy Wednesday beautiful friends 💕

Until you’re honest with yourself, you won’t be happy.
Honest with what you want.
Honest regarding how you’re going to get there.
Honest with the journey.
Honest about the process.

I’ve been struggling a lot lately with this whole “happiness” thing. With what I truly want out of life and what would truly “make” me happy.
Anyone else interested in just packing up and moving to Bali or Thailand with me and @torreupfitness 😂?!
Forreal though, finding what makes you happy can be a struggle. But putting what makes you happy into practice can be EVEN harder.

So don’t rush yourself, but once you find it don’t delay either.
There’s so much to this life - and we really only get one shot - so why waste it?
Especially on, or doing things, that don’t add positivity to your end goals. ❤️💛❤️

The diaphragm is your main muscle of breathing. 💨 It sits right under your lungs and connects to your ribs. During inhalation, it contracts and forces the lungs to expand. When it relaxes, air is exhaled. 😊 By controlling your diaphragm you can increase the efficiency of every single breath you take! 👍 Ideally, you should be able to take deep breaths that expand your belly without effort. I stand here battling to post, or not to post. I HAVE to post! I just published a book! The book I wish I had when I was coming out. A book about self-acceptance, love, fear, bravery. My journey. It’s ironic, because as I released that big journey another one is in the making. The saying “one door closes, so another one can open” has been playing over & over in my head. It is the biggest truth in front of my face right now. I am accepting new beginnings, letting go of what I can’t control (everything pretty much),& at the same time trying to keep my light shining for the people who need to see it.✨I am (literally now) an open book, so I feel it necessary to stay that way for people who can maybe relate. That is why I wrote my story down in the first place.✨I have times where I cry, and I want everything to “go back to the way they were,” I have times where I am filled with so much happiness & joy. I have days that start with a dance, & end in tears. I have days where I am going through heartbreak, but have my people in my corner literally holding my chin up. What I pull from each of these days are the moments. Each moment that makes up my day, which turns to a week, & before we know it, gets titled “a journey.”✨Some moments we want to hold onto forever, and others we wish went by faster… But time doesn’t discriminate. A moment is a moment. How we choose to receive that moment is up to us. I am still learning this myself. I am learning to stay present in those moments, witness & feel the emotions, & then choose. Sometimes I choose difficulty, sometimes I choose ease, & sometimes I choose to just be a witness to what is happening in front of me.✨Whatever your moments bring to you I hope you receive them well. We are given new moments over and over. So if a moment left you feeling sad or scared – get ready because a moment just as big, is heading your way… & it can be filled with happiness & joy.✨I am not blind to the moments filled with the people I love.
