Cape Town, also named “The Mother City”, is known for its marvelous landmarks such as Table Mountain and Cape Point. It is considered one of the most multicultural cities in the world and has been catalogued “the best place in the world to visit” by The New York Times in a few occasions.
It was here where the first Europeans set foot in South Africa, beginning the slave trade. It was home to Nelson Mandela, the most famous South African black president who was held prisoner during 27 years on Robben Island in Table Bay, some 12 km off the coast. Besides this, the island used to house leprosy patients along with the mentally and chronically ill. The British used it as a training and defense station by the British during WWII.
Cape Floral Kingdoms are considered UNESCO World Heritage Site, making it the smallest yet the richest recognized floral area on the entire planet with 9600 species; around 70% of these species cannot be found anywhere else such as honey buchu, good hope satin flower, among others.

With Monday behind us, it's all downhill to the weekend now!

So here we have truck #3 we would like you to meet, #ImpalaNC. Impala is seen by some here at Henmar Hire as the "little baby truck" as it is by far the not biggest/strongest but makes up for it through sheer will and gets the job done! 👶

I have similar thoughts about Fitnesstrackers.. Do you use yours to track calories in your diet?
Credit to from @nikgfitness (@get_regrann) - 💥 Fitness Tracker by @nikgfitness 💥 ⁣
⁣
In todays world we have so much technology available to track our progress. The question is, is it really that good?⁣
⁣
Some of them are cheap, others are expensive. The problem is that these trackers, should give you a baseline to orientate, but never should replace your own experience with different activities, sleep or even your calorie intake.⁣
⁣
❌ The problems:⁣ ⁣
CALORIE INTAKE: Sure it would be awesome to just look at your watch and know how many calories you have burned. But actually it’s pretty inaccurate, as the tracker doesn’t realize small movements like whipping with your feet etc. and it could even over or under estimate your calorie intake.⁣
⁣
EASY TO CHEAT: For example shaking too many times with your hand, could boost your steps massively.⁣
⁣
SOMETIMES VERY INACCURATE: This is the main problem of cheap fitness trackers, as they don’t have a good software.⁣
⁣
✅ What fitness tracker should be used for:⁣
⁣
COUNT STEPS: Especially if you are working in an office, you don’t get as many steps as you should get. It’ll help you to get an overview. Now know, where you are actually at and maybe it will give you the motivation to do even more steps.⁣
⁣
ACTIVITY REMINDER: Sitting on the couch all day is nice, but it’s not beneficial for your health. A lot of trackers have an activity reminder, which will give you signals to move.⁣
⁣
CONTROL SLEEP: You are able to check, if you are enough sleeping.⁣
⁣
🔎 To sum up: Fitness tracker aren’t a must, but they can motivate you to think more about your health and activity. I’m excited to see what technology will be introduced in the next years.⁣
⁣
❓How about you? What do you think about fitness tracker?⁣
⁣
Stay fit - Niklas 💪🏼♥️⁣

Reminiscing over these fresh walnuts from a market in Milan on recent travels. Nothing beats a good market haul!
We would serve these caramelised in honey smeared over some strong, bitey cheese 🧀

Simple and elegant. Carrot cake with cream cheese filling in top and lemon poppy pound cake with whipped lemon curd filling at the bottom all wrapped up in a vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream 👌🌸🥰
