•••You can be the light that someone else needs. Don't be afraid of sharing your thoughts, your insights or your story. You never know who you will be able to help with just being you•••
.
Today at the gym's basketball court: Got there with the goal of trying to score a basket at least 5 times.
For the first 15 minutes I managed to score ONCE. Only once! I was so bad at it. Then a nice guy that was in the other side of the court came to me and asked me if I wanted help, while he mentioned he is a basketball trainer. He shared with me THREE simple things I should do to be able to score. .
I hesitated to believe I could score if I followed those steps because of how simple they were, but he encouraged me to try it. So I did it and guess what?! I scored a basket on my first try! And then another one and another one. I probably ended up doing like 10 more in the next 15 min.
.
.
☆Where I wanna get with this story is that sometimes we set goals, but we dont have a plan. We just wonder around trying to figure things out, hoping we'll get there at some point. Until there's someone that gives us insight, advice or instruction about how to get there. .
At the beginning we think that it might not work so we dont even want to try it, but then we take a leap of faith and follow our hearts and the advice that's been given to us, and then to eventually reach our goals and go even further than that. .
People that can help us can be anyone; our friends, teachers, family, doctors, etc. OR 《we》 can be that much needed 'help' to others. .
》》》I'm gonna leave a last thought here:
•••You can be the light that someone else needs. Don't be afraid of sharing your thoughts, your insights or your story. You never know who you will be able to help with just being you•••

And also:
•••Let people help you. Talk with others. Share your story. You're not alone.•••

Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing! That energy you’re waisting. Could be the same energy you could be using in bettering yourself. Get so sick of hearing “well they’re doing *insert excuse*” who cares. What are you doing to better yourself!? You can’t control what they do so why should you care.
.
.
I’m not worried about a damn thing anyone else is doing because I KNOW I’m doing everything I can to be the best version of me 😉. Making sure my teams always fed and supported

Seeing @nick_catefit @gregporter.26 @floydfitness And @xjrmfit On prep got me reminiscin of the good ol days with @amirrabie91 😂 (1 month ago) but like I said, doing everything I can to make sure my team stays winning. All hard workers keep up ya tools! 😉

    Gains progress 💪
Here are my gains from the start of the challenge three weeks ago.
I don’t usually show “progress” pics but I have to here for the simple fact that I need to tell you guys I’ve gained 1.5kgs.
I have been a health coach for six years now and even though I understand that muscle weighs more than fat it’s always hard to see a number go up because of the way we women have been conditioned to believe our worth and self value is based on a number and in order to increase our happiness we are taught to decrease this number.
Clearly I am losing fat and gaining muscle but it’s important when your subconscious programming is being challenged to equip yourself with knowledge.
Dr Bruce Lipton says that not only is knowledge power, but the lack of knowledge is the lack of power. This is why I’m so big on self education. If I do not equip myself with the knowledge of health, muscle mass, and micro-nutrition then I give my power away to social conditioning.
I will not let society dictate what should make me feel good.
I started @mumonpurpose because I wanted to make a statement to the world that I am living my life based on my own agenda and goals and I will not apologise for going against the norm. I live my life on purpose.
So the moral of this story is: if you know where you are headed, then you don’t need to give your power away to the opinion of “them” or let “them” dictate how you measure your self worth.
I started getting strong because I wanted to start making new connections in my brain to support my mental health and creativity. Thank you @doc_amen and @tanaamen for the book “The Brain Warriors Way”. It reminds me, that when iI see the number go up on the scale, it’s because of the brain healthy decisions I’ve made and the body fat I’m losing is all a result of looking after the environment I surround myself and my brain with.
Make a decision about where you want to go. Make that your purpose and the progressive realisation of that pre-determined purpose your definition of success.

Happy #NationalRadioDay - especially to those of you who knew me by my voice first 🎙 When I was 18 years old, my soul sister Danni Starr invited me to sit in with her on the @tonyfly Morning Show on B96 🤩 She joked that it would be my “internship,” and I very much took her up on it, asking if I could come back the next day and the next day and the next. No one told me to leave, so I kept showing up 😛 I didn’t even have a car at the time and would “borrow” my brother’s each morning before he woke up 🙊 I had NO intention of going into radio, but I couldn’t turn down an opportunity to work with my best friend and with a man known as the BEST in his industry. I was eager to listen and learn, even if it meant waking up at 3am 🤓 Fast forward, FULL CIRCLE, ten years later, I had the unexpected opportunity to come back to 96.3FM as the new @go963mn to headline a morning show with these two incredible humans. It was the dream job I wasn’t looking for and didn’t know I needed. For the first time, I couldn’t hide behind a script or my makeup. After years of working in a newsroom, I now had to learn to share my story and my voice - which I thought I knew well, but it turns out I still had a lot of life and self to learn, accept and embrace 🤥 I’m so grateful to these two and to our team, for challenging me to find my voice, pushing me far outside of my comfort zone, and waking me up before dawn every day (and we didn’t even drink coffee, that’s how much fun we had, even on our worst days 😅) I’m also grateful to the leadership team that also pushed me to do and be better, earning my seat at the table, with a promotion to a position I created and fought for. I’m so grateful to you, for letting me into your lives each crazy morning, connecting with me on the phone and online after the show was over, and sticking around for ride right here and now 😘 While I’ve moved on, I know I’m who I am and where I am today because of this opportunity and especially because of the people there 💙 #GoFam

One of the first assignments I have anyone do before they start working with me is to get clear on what they want to feel like in their relationship⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll get a lot of people coming up to me asking how to save their relationship and then they tell me the story of how their relationship was and I’m asking, “why do you want to go back to that?”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I get it that’s where the comfort level is⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And in the work I will ask you to do, the work that will attract anyone you want to you and have the exact relationship you want, you will have to be uncomfortable⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I only work with people who have an amazing dream of what they want, not “I just don’t want to be lonely or feel hurt”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s not enough, you need to have something you are reaching for, something that lights you up that gets you excited!!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you know what you really want and it feels good to you, you can get it⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A word of advice: you will be picking something you can move to, like fun fun exciting times in your life, not something you move away from like loneliness, fear etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m here to support you through all of it and I know your pain. I’ve been there being so lonely I didn’t think I could handle. I done so many things out of fear. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I know how to get through it, there is a light at the end of your tunnel and it feels absolutely amazing!!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Tomorrow, I get to take my kids to school and I am so grateful. Even though I get to be an entrepreneur along side my 9-5 corporate job, I get to show my kids what it’s like to pursue a dream. It’s times like these I remember why I started my business: freedom and the ability to help others either start their own entrepreneurship or learn how to live their best life.

Is your “but” getting in your way?
I like the word “but” about as much as I like the word “why” - minimal!
What do they have in common?
Both slow our progress & reflect or create smokescreens. “But” slows our progress as we make excuses to avoid something. When we start a question with the word “why” we increase our tendency to get smokescreen answers & emotional responses rather than information we can use.
What “but” is stopping you? 🔹But I’m too busy. 🔹But I’m too tired.
🔹But they won’t be interested in what I have to say.
What is the real excuse for creating the smokescreen?
🔸It’s not important enough. 🔸I’m lazy.
🔸I’m scared of rejection.
Don’t let your “but” get in your own way. Our derrières were made to be behind us, not to create obstructions in front of us. 🌟😊👊🏻

I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened ~ Mark Twain
-
I want to pick apart today just how pointless and destructive worrying is.
-
When I tell people that it’s LITERALLY true that worrying is completely pointless, the reactions range from telling me that I’m being unrealistic (remember that word as you read on) or that it’s just normal.
-
So take a moment to think about ALL of the things that you have ever worried about.
-
Consider how many of them actually happened?
-
Of the ones that did happen, how many of them turned out to be as bad as you thought?
-
Well a study was done on this. And it shows just how unnecessary worrying really is.
-
Over an extended period of time the subjects in the study were asked to write down their worries and then identify which of their misfortunes happened and didn’t happen.
-
The answer? 85% DIDN’T happen.
-
But just as importantly of the 15% that did happen, 79% of subjects responded that they could handle the difficulty better than expected and that the difficulty actually taught them a lesson.
-
That means that around 97% of what you worry about is nothing more than your fearful mind punishing you with exaggerations and misperceptions.
-
DON’T let you ego sped you past that last sentence. Slow down and consider what that means for you life.
-
97% of the time your worrying is pointless, a complete waste of time.
-
And bluntly I would argue that for the remaining 3% of the time the respondents hadn’t looked hard enough for the benefit or it simply hadn’t appeared yet.
-
Despite this, nearly everyone spends nearly their whole time worry about something.
-
The loss of true living, the impact on the quality of life os so many people is staggering. Based on something that is proven to not be true.
-
Just something for you to think about next time your ego tries to get you to worry......

When your friend gets called ugly/gross/insert derogatory comment by an internet troll, or someone in real life, or the voice in their own head, the quickest way to alleviate their pain is to convince them they’re NOT ugly — they’re beautiful! "No way! You're beautiful! You look perfect! Look at you!” We *totally* get it, but we want to suggest a more effective approach. Let's treat the real underlying problem, rather than just slap a band-aid on the symptom.
✖️Take the sting out of beauty-related bullying and alleviate body image burdens by teaching her that her beauty is the *least* important thing about her. When we fight back against mean comments or bullying or low self-esteem with appearance-based compliments, we're solidifying the idea that the beauty is of utmost importance. 💥Continuing to focus on her appearance uses the same framework and logic that makes appearance-based insults so lethal.💥 When we stop giving beauty the power to *make us,* we take away its power to *break us.*
✖️When we view and value our bodies as *instruments* for our use and experience rather than ornaments to be admired, other people's evaluations of our bodies will carry a lot less power. Help her interrogate WHY looks-related bullying is the go-to way to tear women down (answer: because we are constantly told we are bodies first and people second). Remind her that her body isn’t here as a decoration, and that her life has meaning, power and purpose beyond anyone’s evaluation of her appearance. Then go for a walk or dance or paint or sing or cry or do something to help remind her that her body is an instrument for her own use, and to benefit the world around her. The world needs her and it needs you, too! Not a pretty picture of you, but all of you. Right now.
