Este es un ejercicio que a simple vista parece muy tonto pero que casi nadie ejecuta de la manera correcta para sacarle el jugo como es debido! .
Es un ejercicio sumamente completo para fortalecer la zona media del cuerpo y que inclusive trabaja de manera secundaria hombros, tríceps, pectorales, glúteos, entre otros. .
La correcta ejecución de esta plancha consiste en colocar las manos justo debajo de los hombros y realizar la activación completa de la zona media comenzando desde el serrato anterior hasta la espalda baja y abdominales inferiores, convirtiendo nuestro core en un bloque, de esta manera al realizar los toques de hombro nuestro cuerpo no debería balancearse, debería quedar estable y nuestra espalda como una tabla de planchar, manteniendo una correcta respiración y repartiendo el peso de manera eficiente entre los puntos de apoyo con el suelo. .

- back after my longest break since may 😱😱😱 4 days‼️‼️ but didnt intend it for sure. went down to visit UC and first plan was $60 and im poor so i sad nah and second plan was closed until tomorrow so i was kinda screwed & wanted a break anyways. basically because i know ill be grinding pretty hard now that classes start tomorrow. & new gym tomorrow!! excited i hope its nice 💪

Week 1 of cutting complete. Scale actually didn't budge at all, even the body fat % didn't change whatsoever but I think it's lying. That's why you need to take pictures to track progress and not worry about scale.

🔹️Agreement on a concrete definition of the “core” is lacking in the research since there are many operating definitions surrounding the topic.

🔹️Most definitions do, however, agree on the core including muscles that exert an effect on the axial skeleton. The axial skeleton forms the central axis of the body, and includes the bones of the skull, vertebral column (spine), and the thoracic cage (ribs and sternum).
-
🔹️In addition to muscles, the core is also comprised of passive structures (ligaments, discs, connective tissue, etc.) and neural control systems which all play a role in the complexity of movement tasks that the body can perform!
-
✅We can think of the core in terms of functional roles: a stabilization role and a mobilization role.  Meaning, the core can either act to LIMIT movement of the axial skeleton, TRANSFER force to the extremities, and/or act to MOVE the axial skeleton.
-
➡️The overhead sit-up is a challenging exercise to work on flexion of the spine, so the abdominals are acting as prime movers!
-
❌Make sure that you are not moving the plate forwards to initiate the crunch - this will utilize momentum to begin the movement as well as shorten the moment arm.
-
➡️The second crunch variation will add FLEXION and ROTATION of the spine. Think about trying to bring your hand to your opposite foot. This will work the obliques as well as the rectus abdominus.

300 spartan workout: this 300 rep workout was designed to train the actors for the move 300 and was a “rite of passage” for them. -
25 pull-ups
50 deadlift (135lbs)
50 push-up
50 box jump (24 inch)
50 floor sweeps (135lbs)
50 kettlebell clean and jerk (20kg)
25 pull-ups -
Rest as needed, but finish all reps before moving to another exercise. -
Females: reduce weight to 85lbs, pullups to 15 reps at start and end, and 12kg kettlebell. -

Just finishing this is an accomplishment, but I go for times. My times the last few years:
2017: 36:00
2018: 27:30 (with @simonyou in the glory days)
2019: 21:57
Today: 19:34 -

Once again, for qualifying individuals we are offering CrossFit Scholarships for those that may be hindered by finances. CFI offers this program so we can assist in helping West Virginia residents get healthier and learn how a lifestyle of pursuing fitness can improve all areas of one’s life. We are opening the 2020 Scholarship season to 3 qualifying males and 3 qualifying females (families and couples are encouraged to apply). Why do you train? ⁣

No really. Why is it you that you get off your couch, turn Netflix off, and go to the gym. ⁣

✖️Most people will say they are trying to lose weight. ⁣

✖️Others will say to get abs. ⁣

✖️And my ultimate personal fav is when someone says “they like to go to the gym but don’t want to get “too big”, so they only go 1-2 times a week”.⁣

One thing needs to be very clear. ⁣

When it comes to making any change, you need to have an ACTUAL personal meaning behind the why. ⁣When you have no one to keep you accountable to make a change, you will start to fall to resistance.

Get the Abs Roasting with this Leg Lower Variation!

Turn the abs on and inhibit the lats with this ab shredder. An advanced exercise that cements pelvis and ribcage control while really burning up the core.

Equipment:

1) Wall
2) Floor

Set Up:

1) Lay on your back with your head a couple inches from the wall
2) Bring hands to the wall and elbows up to about a 90 degree angle
3) Reach elbows to the ceiling and press hands into the wall (feel serratus / lats may stretch)
4) Exhale ribs down and back (feel abs)
5) Tuck your back pockets toward the back of your knees (posterior pelvic tilt)
6) Maintain this positioning for the entire exercise execution

Execution:

1) Lift feet off the ground so that the hips and knees are at 90 degree angles
2) Reach the left leg straight out through the heel while the right leg stays at about 90 degrees
3) Alternate and reach the right leg out while simultaneously bringing the left leg back to 90 degrees
4) Repeat this process for recommended repetitions

Things to Focus on:

1) Don’t let ribs flair up
2) Don’t let the low back arch
3) Use your exhale to regain set up positioning
4) Shorten the reach of your leg if the above 1 or 2 occurs

Why do this?

1) Promote core strength
2) Train all of the abdominals (transverse abdominis, rectus abdominis, internal and external obliques)
3) Learn to maintain ribcage and pelvis position
4) Inhibit your lats

Start with 2-3 sets of 15-20 reps

Geralmente, se a dor na cervical não se condiciona por uma patologia previamente analisada, é porque existe uma falta de mobilidade cervical, falta de força nos músculos cervicais tanto anteriores como posteriores, tensão cervical, execução errada na hora de realizar os exercícios e compensações, assim como falta de estabilidade da cintura escapular.

É muito importante aprender a posicionar a cabeça, o pescoço e a cintura escapular durante a realização de um exercício, além do acompanhamento com os olhos que direciona o movimento da coluna.

Gosto de utilizar a bolinha de tênis para ajudar na propriocepcão durante o aprendizado. Por exemplo, antes de realizar o abdominal, deve-se deslizar a cabeça no chão sem tirará-la do mesmo, alinhando para que o queixo vá em direção ao peito, encostando na bolinha, sem comprimi-la com força. Let me keep it simple...
To see your abs you MUST have a low enough body fat, doing lots of sit ups etc will not help you.
Best way to explain this is ‘if I did 50 bicep curls a day but still had high body fat, would I see the definition in my arm? Most likely not, I may be stronger and my arms may be bigger but if I don’t have a low enough body fat then I won’t see any definition’ - sounds silly thinking about it like this doesn’t it??
So when they say abs are made in the kitchen, they literally are!
To get abs you should eat a balanced diet, be in an energy deficit (eating less calories than you burn) and train your core so you have a strong base for all your daily movements and exercise!!! Start training for health and strength and fitness and trust me, the aesthetics will come right along with it💥

Results are 10X more fulfilling when you built them yourself. 🕊When you had the successes and failures, and figured out what works for you in your fitness journey. Getting help along the way is never a failure. ⠀

When starting my fitness journey, a made SO MANY fitness mistakes. Here are some I made that hopefully you can consider too in your journey and try to avoid: ⠀

★ NOT ALLOWING MY BODY TO RECOVER. For some reason- I got in my head that I would get stronger and more muscle if I pushed through the soreness. To workout the same muscles over and over every day. This is NOT the case- I started to see more muscle development when I allowed my body to rest and was more intuitively listening to my body with my workouts. ⠀

★ THINKING CARBS ARE BAD AND IT IS ALL ABOUT PROTEIN. I used to eat primarily protein, veggies, and fruit and was lacking majorly in the carb department. Carbs are good for you working out, especially when you are working out so frequently. They are also good for your brain and energy levels. REPEAT AFTER ME- carbs are good 😇⠀

★ NOT STRETCHING.... still working on this one lol 😂 I need to stretch even more to help my muscles recover ⠀

★ NOT BEING WELL ROUNDED WITH MY WORKOUTS. I used to focus SO MUCH on my legs that I neglected the rest of my body. Being well rounded allows time for your other muscles to heal and ultimately be more active.⠀

When starting my fitness journey, a made SO MANY fitness mistakes. Here are some I made that hopefully you can consider too in your journey and try to avoid: ⠀

★ NOT ALLOWING MY BODY TO RECOVER. For some reason- I got in my head that I would get stronger and more muscle if I pushed through the soreness. To workout the same muscles over and over every day. This is NOT the case- I started to see more muscle development when I allowed my body to rest and was more intuitively listening to my body with my workouts. ⠀

★ THINKING CARBS ARE BAD AND IT IS ALL ABOUT PROTEIN. I used to eat primarily protein, veggies, and fruit and was lacking majorly in the carb department. Carbs are good for you working out, especially when you are working out so frequently. They are also good for your brain and energy levels. REPEAT AFTER ME- carbs are good 😇⠀

★ NOT STRETCHING.... still working on this one lol 😂 I need to stretch even more to help my muscles recover ⠀

★ NOT BEING WELL ROUNDED WITH MY WORKOUTS. I used to focus SO MUCH on my legs that I neglected the rest of my body. Being well rounded allows time for your other muscles to heal and ultimately be more active.⠀
