    All stocked up for another week on plan 💪💪 had a cracking week considering my water intake was rubbish ... Does anyone else struggle with this when there's a change in routine?? I really struggle with my water when I'm not at work!

I have finally hit my 4 stone, that target that felt a million miles away, and next week I will be in my 6th new stone bracket, a number I haven't seen in a long time. I feel so much better, healthier And happier than I have in such a long time. I couldn't have done it without my amazing consultant @cwp_clairhook 😘

    ENJOY A BBQ AND STICK TO YOUR DIET! 🥗🍗🥒🌶🍽🥗🍗🥒🌶🍽🥗🍗🥒🌶🍽 So how can you still enjoy a BBQ without straying from Plan? 
Staying on track with your diet while all of your family and friends are tucking into burgers, hot dogs and your auntie’s potato salad might not be easy, but it’ll definitely be worth it when you can still zip up your shorts tomorrow.

Firstly, try spicing up your daily protein allowance. There are so many herbs and spices to choose from the possibilities are endless. Never again will you have to look sadly down at a bare chicken breast, instead let your plate come alive with epic flavours. Why not try smoked paprika for Mexican vibes? A bit of five spice and ground ginger will take your taste buds to Asia and back. Indian curry spices taste awesome on barbecues (and with so many different varieties you’ll be spoilt for choice!). For the more traditional among you, classic herbs like coriander, thyme and rosemary are incredible for bringing out the flavours in meat and work so well on barbeques. Why not try a little squeeze of lemon or lime too (lime tastes amazing with chilli flakes – lemon totally zings with ginger too!). Don’t just stick to chicken either, your protein allowance could come from turkey, Quorn, white fish or prawns – so many exciting options you should never feel like you’re missing out!

You could also mix up rainbow coloured kebab skewers with your vegetable allowance alongside your protein or make yourself a lovely fresh side salad to accompany your barbecued delights.

For those with a milk allowance you could whip yourself up a lovely dip to top your BBQ feast, simply add some chopped chives or mint to plain low fat (1%) yoghurt (amount according to your Step, check with your Consultant), yum!

Lastly… steer clear of that dodgy looking trifle or the calorie-laden ice creams being handed around, and mix yourself up a 1:1 Diet friendly dessert – Ice Lollies or Jelly! They’re all so tasty that everyone will be begging you for a bite!

    Check out this raspberry and vanilla trifle using The 1:1 Diet raspberry and elderflower water flavouring, mix-a-mousse and vanilla shake!

Suitable for all steps - the vanilla shake will count as one of your products; however, the mix-a-mousse and water flavouring are not counted as one of your products and so you can have unlimited of these. 
Raspberry & Vanilla Trifle Recipe

1. Add 1 serving of Raspberry & Elderflower Water Flavouring to 1 serving of Mix-a-Mousse and top with 1 litre of water. Mix well

2. Pour some into a glass and chill (remember to leave room for more layers!) 3. Mix up a sachet of Vanilla Shake with 1 serving of Mix-a-Mousse and 227ml of water

4. Add to the glass and chill

5. When set top with another layer of Raspberry & Elderflower mix

6. When that has set repeat with another layer of Vanilla mix

7. Tuck in!

    To you, you may see a before and after photo, thinking to yourself, ‘wow what an achievement she’s made.’
To me, I see a girl on the left that was blissfully unaware of what was to come, a girl that was yet to experience the best and worst days of her life.
You see, to me.... this isn’t a before and after photo, this is a then and now photo....
Little do you all know I already completed a weight loss journey back in 2015 where I lost over half my body weight in one year, went from being almost 24 stone, severely depressed, no job, no friends, no future to loosing 12 and a half stone and changing my life significantly. I finally felt accepted, that I meant something to society. I won awards, I was in newspapers, yet even though you saw me with a smile, I was never truly happy, not deep down. The truth is I hated my body, the excess skin, the stretch marks, you name it, I hated all of it! 
I spent a good few years maintaining my weight but my goodness did I eat badly, then felt the pure guilt and have to reign it back in by not eating the next day. 
I spent every Christmas and New year shoving my face to then realising that Christmas didn’t last forever and as soon as January hit I was back on the weight loss band wagon again. It was tiring, I felt drained, like the pressure to be this certain weight happened all over again and I got into the worst eating habits of binging and then starving myself. 
Then I fell pregnant with my beautiful daughter Layla and realised I couldn’t put myself or my little girl through this cycle, so I started eating what I wanted, when I wanted. The freedom I felt was immense, but my weight piled on quicker than a blink of an eye. I had my daughter in October 2018 and my goodness, she is perfect. I had gained 7 stone by the end of it but who cares? That little bundle of joy made me look at my body as a machine, a home, a precious place to live. All of a sudden I no longer saw myself in a negative light, in that moment I loved my body for what it was and who it had created.

    Myself and a few of my clients are currently trialing an 8 week challenge. The rules are Simple, No Alcohol, No sugar, clean eating and an absolute minimum of  5 days of exercise out of 7. We share recipes and food diaries via a what’s app group to inspire and motivate each other. We are all reading a different book and at the end of every week, we share our “learnings of the week” we’ve started marking the days down with an X on a calendar. This gives us a a clear indication of our achievements so far. 
Why am I telling you this? Because I’m going to open it to everyone on August 1st. To join in, simply click on the link in the bio to register.
