LOWER BODY CHALLENGE DAY ONE!!🏋🏼‍♀️ Who’s ready to work that bootay?

Bridge x 45 seconds
Lay on your back with feet on the ground and knees bent. Lift butt and back off the ground, using only your shoulders and feet to hold you up. Keep core tight and push your heels into the ground to activate your hamstrings.
Curtesy Lunge x 30
Stand up straight. Then step one leg back like you are going to curtesy but keep your back straight. Do not bend over. Your back knee should almost touch the ground then push back up and return to starting position. Preform on other leg. Keep alternating.

Sumo Squat x 20
Start with a wide stance. Toes pointed out. Keeping your weight on your heels squat down until your legs are parallel. Slowly come back up. This should be preformed at a steady pace.

High Knees x 45 seconds
Stand up straight and run in place bringing your knees up high. Keep a nice pace to get a little cardio in.

Plank Toe Taps x 20 each side
Start in push up position. While keeping back straight and flat, take one leg and move it out. Tap your toe on the ground then return to start. Repeat on one side for total reps, then switch to the other side.

Ok real talk. When my skin is acting like an asshole, it’s usually because I’m slacking on my skincare routine. *GASP*
Yep, I sometimes get lazy too. These little blue capsules make a huge difference in my skin, and when I’m using them consistently....IT SHOWS. And glows. (See what I did there?) Everyone should have these in their medicine cabinet. Unless of course you don’t want your skin to be more even, smoother feeling and firmer looking. Then by all means, skip it. But me? I’m gonna keep loving on these capsules filled with Vitamin A and unicorn tears...or whatever they have in them. Because they’re👏 that 👏 good 👏!

Do you ever get the feeling that your laziness is slowly draining your life away?⁣

🤷🏻‍♀️Every time you choose laziness over proactive action, you are choosing the easy path — the path of least resistance. Yes, it’s a path that will bring you incredible pleasure. However, that pleasure is futile and short-lived. ⁣

⏳The short-term pleasures that feel “oh so good” at the moment turn into long-term regrets when you realize that you no longer have the time or desire to accomplish your most cherished goals. And just like that, what was once a promising bright future, turns into a life of regrets and long-term pain.⁣

🧩Nobody said that achieving your goals was going to be easy. It’s most likely going to be a tough and rough road ahead. However, the pleasure you will eventually experience when you achieve your goals will far outweigh the futile pleasures of those lazy moments.⁣

But how? How do we overcome our lazy ways? ⁣👊🏼

Understanding the reasons behind your lazy ways will help you build a plan of action for overcoming laziness. ⁣

Every time you choose to indulge in laziness, it strengthens your laziness muscle. Moreover, it leads to unforeseen consequences of missed opportunities. And over time, a snowball of consequences starts to build. And before you know it you’re stuck deep in the snow and must live with the realization that you’ve wasted your life away.⁣

If your goals are far beyond your ability, then you are likely to experience overwhelm and will subsequently use laziness as an escape mechanism. Your goals must, therefore, be achievable. ⁣

How To Get Your Drive Back

We all get ‘stuck’ sometimes with our fitness goals, but the good thing is, you don’t have to be stuck for too long. Here are 6 tips to get your motivation and drive back!

1️⃣Get more sleep.
I really cannot stress the importance of this more. If you are sleep deprived, not only will your energy tank, but your motivation and drive will too. Shoot for 7-8hrs each night- seriously.
.
2️⃣Look at who you spend your time with.
They say you are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Are the people around you pushing you to be better or crushing your drive?
.
3️⃣Change up your routine.
It could be as simple as getting to bed a half hour earlier, preparing your meals ahead of time, changing up your workouts. If you are always doing the same thing, you will always get the same results.
.
4️⃣Try something new!
I LOVE learning new things. Between the triathlon last year and the kettlebell training this year, trying something new brings an entire new level of excitement- especially when there is room for improvement and you can see/feel yourself getting better each week.
.
5️⃣Make a commitment and stick to it!
If you do not have a goal, start there. Figure out what you REALLY want and put a plan together to make it happen. Literally write it down.
.
6️⃣Focus on right now.
Don’t think about what you did last week or how mad you are that you went off your diet last night. Don’t think about how much work you have ahead of you either. You have zero control over anything in the past or future, so just focus on right now.
