I’m a homebody and a planner by nature, so when my kids randomly throw out “can we go to the lake?!” my initial thought is, “no!” I don’t want to pack all the gear, I don’t want to get wet, I don’t want to deal with the sand when we get home. Almost every time I get out of my comfort zone though and say “yes” I’m so glad we did. As much as I love staying at home, reading books, watching movies, and making cookies, I have learned in life that when I allow myself to grow, I find joy in the unexpected, and I learn to love things that I may initially see as difficult or time consuming or “not the way I planned!” I’m so grateful for children who push me and help us create beautiful memories along the way.☀️ 💦💐

Because who doesn’t love a night of tubing. Loved hanging out with everyone, even if I did manage to fly out of my tube at one point. Figured I would finally post now that my bruises have healed. 😉 #latergram #tubing #eagleislandstatepark
