I stand before the mountain choir. Eagles soaring. Pebbles rumbling. A fish or two surfacing. My heart beating.

Finally got to surf again. Must be 8 years since the last time. After thumbling around for a couple of days with reef cuts and sore shoulders, it was satisfying to sit down on the beach with a long lens and admire the pros 🤙🏼

A moody day at Fanad Head Lighthouse, one of the most scenic lighthouses in Ireland 🇮🇪 .
It is located along the famous Wild Atlantic Way 🚗 - which I highly recommended to drive at least once in a lifetime !

I can’t believe no one is talking about how Rainier finally erupted!... Okay, okay, terrible jokes aside, this morning started off without a single cloud in the sky and ended up going crazy! As many of you know, this year was pretty good for wildflowers which was a treat after the last several years seemed to be getting worse and worse. I had been keeping a close eye on the weather and after a stretch of blue bird days there was finally a storm rolling in. I packed up and headed out to Rainier. After a lackluster sunset at Tolmie peak I headed over to the Paradise to try my luck during sunrise. I woke up to a sky full of twinkling stars which was the exact opposite of what I wanted...I wanted some clouds! Grumpily, I hiked my way up through the beautiful fields of wildflowers following a couple random trails. . .

I eventually set up next to a lovely patch of lupine that was right off the side of the trail and waited for sunrise. As time passed, a cloud started to appear above Rainier! The only cloud in the sky and it was luckily growing right where I would be shooting...a rare occurrence as the best clouds are usually guaranteed to be the opposite direction you are wanting to shoot. As it got lighter out, the cloud grew bigger and I eventually realized this dull morning was actually going to be something quite special.

When I got to the Chale Zeba mountainous area close to Abr forest, that big rock drew my attention to itself, but unfortunately, I haven’t had a drone to take an aerial photo of the rock but I used my #NikonZ6 to take this in early morning when the sun is rising. I’m working hard to save up to buy a @djiglobal a #Mavic2Pro or Maybe a #MavicAir 😁. The price is ridiculously high in Iran 😤 which is equal to 8 months of my full salary.
BUT I NEVER GONNA GIVE UP. after I buy the drone, I’ll go to the area again to take my bucket shot 😎

We leave something of ourselves behind when we leave a place, we stay there, even though we go away. And there are things in us that we can find again only by going back there. 🏞🌄👌
