    ⁣😣 Let's be honest, making a career change can be daunting. When it comes to feeling stuck in your career, it doesn't have to always be about making a complete career overhaul to find more fulfillment. ⠀

💡  If we can view the idea of "making moves" with less ego, what we can find is a less complicated solution to getting out of a career rut.⠀

↔ I love this statement made by Lisa Alteri, Chief People Officer for Kraft Heinz U.S. She stated, "Don’t think of moves as just about moving up – think also of moving laterally...lateral moves can bring so much more than a title.”⠀

☝🏻 This helpful advice is the same piece of coaching advice I recently gave to a client. If you can think about different departments of the company you currently work for that intrigue you, making a lateral move can be the fresh wind you need beneath your corporate wings to fly. ⠀

    #Asia, the world’s fastest growing economic region and home to a population of around 4.5 billion people, with an average female population of 49.8 percent. There is a growing awareness in many capitals in Asia that addressing gender equality issues, is essential to maintaining economic growth and prosperity in the region.

However, a harsh truth to confront: Asia’s gender pay gap is the highest globally, with #Indian #women for example, making 34 percent less than men in hourly wage. Even in developed Asia, countries like Korea, Japan and Singapore do not come close to gender pay parity.

    #equalpayday is about more than just getting paid more. 
It’s about getting hired into positions that are held by males and making the leadership and all levels of a company look more like the America we live in vs. looking like an episode of Fox and Friends. 
It is about having a voice and a pull in rooms where we have previously been shut out of. 
It is about making company policies that make it easier to have a family, not harder and creating a culture that doesn’t pin women down for choosing to have children when their male counterparts get a promotion even if they have a family. 
It is about creating safe work places where anyone can come forward and speak openly about discrimination that they’ve faced and have it be met with swift action and consequences to the abuser. 📷 @the.wing. Art by @willmcphail4
