Does refusing to use the elliptical count as resistance training?

As most of you know I love cardio, but I will never recommend it over weight training 💪🏻!

Progressive resistance training changes the body period...end of story🏋🏻‍♂️.

Now of course, eating clean, keeping our stress levels low, getting enough sleep and supplementing your nutrition are all part of the equation too, but if you only have time to do one or the other my vote will always go with weight training...hands down !

One of my favorite weight training exercises for glutes are low pulley kickbacks (above) I probably do this exercise 3-4x/week. At 53, I’m fighting gravity 😛, I’m always working on my “bottom line”©️
Whether it’s fitness or business, I’m always trying to raise the “bottom line”©️🍑

If you only do cardio, start with one day a week with weight training, Make Wednesday’s a weight day💪🏻

recently I’ve been noticing a lot of progress in my lifts + my body & I have been reflecting on WHY all of a sudden I am progressing so much⁣⁣
⁣⁣
1. I changed gyms, I’m surrounded by people who are super supportive, lift heavy & who encourage me to go hard ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
2. I don’t know what but something changed, I have been feeling SO motivated in the gym lately, I’ve been pushing myself more but also believing in myself more (this is key) ⁣

3. Nutrition lol I have been focusing on eating more protein + way more whole foods and my body feels 10x better ⁣

4. c o n s i s t e n c y - @simsystrengthsystems pointed out that sometimes nothing even needs to change, just being consistent (& patient) is enough⁣

sharing this in hopes of at least ONE of these things will help you if you’re feeling stagnant or like you’ve plateaued ⁣
change up your routine, your gym, your diet - cut out people who don’t motivate you and just be consistent ✨

I don’t even remember much of filming this workout....all I really remember is it is a Tabata workout! That means push yourself as hard as you can for 20secs then rest for 10secs repeat for 7 to 9 rounds -

Chin ups or pull-ups?

I like to incorporate both pull-ups and chin-ups into my workout routine.

The main difference is the grip. Pull-ups use a pronated (overhand) grip where your palms point outwards at varying widths wider than your shoulders. Chin-ups use a supinated (underhand) grip with your palms facing you, about shoulder width apart.

Both exercises primarily train your upper back/lats, although the chin-up involves more bicep, making it less lat-specific (and somewhat easier) than the pull-up. When doing a pull-up, you can widen the grip to isolate the lats even more. Depending on your training goals, you may choose to do one or the other... or both!

It took some practice to get my first rep of each. My husband would hold my feet to assist but as soon as I was able to do one rep without assistance, he never helped again and I was on my own! They are both great exercises and will be a great addition to your workout if you don’t already do them.

⁣⁣Hard Core Booty Moves 🍑 🔥 ⁣⁣

Save this post for a booty and core burner you can do anywhere! 📌⁣

What’s better than a booty boosting band exercise? Ones that also work your core! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
All of these moves are performed from the bear position, which is on all fours with the knees lifted a few inches off of the ground. These few inches really amp up the core stability challenge.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The key is to keep your knees only a few inches off the ground—as you get tired, you might find your knees lifting and your weight pushing back toward your toes.  If you find these moves too challenging initially, perform each without the resistance band until you’ve gotten the hang of them.⁣⁣

REPEAT 2-3 TIMES:⁣⁣

Na primeira foto estava na casa dos (110kg) a segunda foto estou com (74kg) peso que venho mantendo desde que eliminei 40kg. .

Não foi fácil chegar onde cheguei, não foi fácil me reeducar, não foi fácil! E por saber das dificuldades procuro sempre manter o foco.

Hoje é fácil pois se tornou hábito! Faça dessa luta um hábito diário e se tornará fácil pra você também. .

Treino de hoje cedo! .
Durante o treino escutei um rapaz falando pq ele preferia malhar de manhã. Resumindo ele dizia que a noite acontece milhões de coisas pra desistir de treinar e de Manhã não, você já é obrigado a levar para o trabalho. Eu concordo com ele. Levantei e fui. É difícil treinar as 6h, levantar e lidar com a preguiça, o cansaço do dia anterior.

Resumindo ele dizia que a noite acontece milhões de coisas pra desistir de treinar e de Manhã não, você já é obrigado a levar para o trabalho. Eu concordo com ele. Levantei e fui. É difícil treinar as 6h, levantar e lidar com a preguiça, o cansaço do dia anterior.
