Wassa wassa wassa wassaaaaaaapppp. Been off my IG game the last few months again, oops my bad. At least I'm consistent with disappearing, and consistency is good. Upped my training volume and calorie intake the last few months, so this is just a physique update.

Instagram asked me if I wanted a business account, offering me the choice to pick my own title; enter: Famine_Physique, the FITNESS MODEL (I'll soon be charging per post, now that I'm a professional). Moved up from around 75kg to just over 81kg in around 4 months - slow and steady prevents the heart disease. It's been tough maintaining a surplus without eating junk, but despite the stigma they get, Tide Pods have been an asset in my clean meal prep.

Joking aside, I've been eating enough rice to support a small Asian country, it truly is absurd. Meal prepping every Sunday like a try-hard champion, and you better believe my tupperware is rectangular 'cause I don't cut fucking corners. Need to add more training volume for my noodle arms though, as the mass there is as absent as my hairline 😞

Heading off to the Iron Church now so I'm signing off. Remember everyone: lift big, eat bigger, and whatever kills you makes you stronger xoxo

For the last few months now I’ve been trying a new split and I feel that I have definitely had the most results from it 👏 Before I would hit legs twice a week and every other muscle group, once a week. Yes I got results but DEFINITELY not as quick. My current split allows me to hit almost ever muscle group twice a week allowing for maximum growth. There are TONS of studies that show hitting a muscle group twice a week is much more effective than just hitting it once (for muscle growth).

MY NO PROGRESS POST :

These past months have been...HARD. No gains, no progress, not leaner or larger, just surviving and trying to get out of bed.....And although I have been hitting the gym 5-6x a week still, lifting and cardio at every session, tracking macros, chugging water, and generally watching my health markers, I've been struggling with some Medical/Health stuff that has made lifting and focusing on aesthetics very unimportant. I've truly been going through the motions only. Lifting for health and routine reasons, and not for growth or to be lean or get strong. Cardio just to keep sane. Often when in the fitness world, the perception is that if you aren't growing or getting better or stronger or leaner....you are failing. And that is definitely how I have felt. Like I'm failing as an athlete and coach. But I also know that sometimes just doing the work is plenty if that's all you can give. All I can do right now is show up...and sometimes even that feels impossible. I need @juanmorebite to DRAG me to the gym (and out of bed) some weeks. But just as I ask my clients to TRY even when they feel like quitting, I too have to show up. It's not always going to be about STRENGTH or ABS or PR's. Sometimes its just about moving and fueling yourself in hopes of living a long and healthy life. So here I am, smiling and looking the same as always (though shoutout to @hopvalleybrewing for helping hide my rats nest) and getting by. Cheers to everyone else showing up when they truly feel beat to shit 💪 #noprogressnoproblem

If you only work when you feel like it, you’ll never get anything done, it’s hard tho am I right? But those are the moments that pushing through is the most important. I took 2 rest days this weekend, and I didn’t stretch like I told myself I was going to, but I’m human 🤷🏼‍♀️ I slept like shit last night too + didn’t get up in time to get my workout in before my work training this morning. Even with my bum finger 😆 — I never would have been able to do that and fold a basket of laundry + do my dishes + run the vacuume if I had to mess around commuting to a gym. I built this body AT HOME, so who says at home workouts don’t work?! — I’m opening up spots for my March accountability group now, staring 3/9 — March is for MAKIN MOVES K? — stop watching and do this damn thing with us 🖖🏼 I’m friendly + there is recipes for snacks tooo 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you only work when you feel like it, you’ll never get anything done, it’s hard tho am I right? But those are the moments that pushing through is the most important. I took 2 rest days this weekend, and I didn’t stretch like I told myself I was going to, but I’m human 🤷🏼‍♀️ I slept like shit last night too + didn’t get up in time to get my workout in before my work training this morning. Stop with the excuses and getchooooo self to the gym. 〰️
If you're goal is to achieve abs, a bigger booty, muscle gains, sculpt that body or just overall weight loss & you want to take out the guesswork on the amount of food you should be eating & the types of workouts you should be doing then holla at me for personal training or online coaching.
Be ready to make shit happen 💪

Hey guys! 💁‍♀️ I feel like I’ve welcomed a fair amount of new followers recently, so I thought I’d introduce myself to those of you who are new here! 😊

I’m Hannah! I live on Vancouver Island, Canada, and I’m a bodybuilder/figure competitor turned 57 kg powerlifter!
-
My “fitness” journey started 8ish years ago when I was in my late teens.
-
Initially I just wanted to stop being so damn skinny (I was only 105 lbs versus 128 now) but eventually that turned into a love of bodybuilding/strength training.
-
I trained casually for a couple of years, and then I became more serious after attending my first bodybuilding show when I was 20.
-
After that I committed to prepping for my first bikini competition. (I wanted to do figure but was still very petite).
-
I competed several times over the next few years, became a certified personal trainer, and my business @conquercoaching naturally evolved as I began to share my passion with others. ❤️🙏
-
Then injury struck. I herniated my shoulder and wasn’t able to train upper body at all for months.
-
Butttttt, I could deadlift! 😅 This was when my love of deadlifts was born.
-
After 6 months of rehab, ALL I wanted to do was bench. NOT being able to do something is a good way to motivate me to want to do it! 😂
-
So the last day of my rehab program I loaded a plate on a bar and benched it for a set of 5. 💪This is when my love of bench was born. 😂
-
I competed one more time as a figure competitor in 2018. I placed 2nd, but again, my heart just wasn’t in it.
-
I had realized that the thing I truly loved was getting stronger and training heavy.
-
So after 7 years, I officially made the switch to powerlifting. I joined @victoriabarbell , hired @jeremy_klaus.pl to coach me, and did my first meet.
-
After years of not quite feeling like I belonged, I had found what I truly loved doing. ❤️🙏

It’s been quite a journey, and the biggest thing it’s taught me is that sometimes your biggest setbacks create your biggest break throughs.

My goal with this page is to share my journey, and help others to make their goals a reality!
