    ONE65 is simply number ONE to me! I had such a great time visiting the exquisite Elements Bar.

I was treated to wonderful cocktails and bar bites.

Trevin Hutchins created really great tasting and beautiful signature cocktails representing the four “elements” (air, water, earth and fire). I went during the mini SF heatwave so I was partial to air Guns & Roses and Light as a Feather, Stuff as a Board (available in a non alcohol version that's every bit as delicious). My favorite bites were the smoked oysters that retained a luscious smooth texture with a briny pop. The mushroom pizza was created with this layers of fillo dough. But dessert was the runaway star with lavender honey ice cream, dried strawberries, apricot and a addicting almond toffee cookie.

The hotel overall is an innovative multi-level culinary destination with French flair, ONE65 offers a unique concept on each floor by combined Michelin Star Chef Claude Le Tohic (@chefclaudeletohic). His kitchen is an oasis of calm as his team produces some amazing and delicious dishes. 
This will definitely be high on my recommendation list for the Union Square area. // 📍#sanfrancisco @elementssf @one65sf

    Because sometimes #humpday calls for a big stack of peanut butter, banana pancakes to help you get through the rest of the week… ⁣

I started my week in a little bit of a funky head space. I’ve had those days a little more often than usual in this new season of life. And instead of rushing out of the feeling or being mad at myself for feeling it in the first place, I’m learning to be kind to myself. I embrace those feelings as they are and know that they will pass. And in the meantime, I double up on the self care and the things that make me the happiest. For me that includes cooking yummy food, walking my dog, spending time with Kj and friends, reading and going to bed early (bc I’m a grandma 👵🏼). ⁣
⁣
Even though I’m feeling better today, I wanted to keep that train rolling and treated myself to a yummy stack of pancakes. I’m realizing that everyday I should do at least one #selfcare thing, whatever that may be. We all have time for one thing, no matter how big or small. We too often spend our days serving those around us, and forget about ourselves. So I’m making the commitment to one thing for MYSELF every single day. ⁣

What do you do for your self care on a daily basis? ⁣

🌟@Birchbenders plant based protein pancake mix (follow instructions on the bag)⁣
🌟1 Tbsp of @pb2foods powdered peanut butter (mixed into pancake batter)⁣
🌟Sliced banana (to add to the pancakes while cooking and to top the pancakes with)⁣
🌟@siggisdairy no sugar added banana & cinnamon yogurt (spread on top of each pancake)⁣
🌟Drizzled peanut butter to finish (I used @wild_friends) ⁣

    I don’t know about you guys, but I have to get back to eating more whole food. September is going to be Whole Food Month at Fresh Fit Kitchen. Think yummy dishes like this veggie packed beef stew made in the instant pot and served with a side of cauli mash- all the fresh fruit , and good quality protein. Less food eaten on the go and from a package. Who is in!? This just so happens to coincide with #septemberwhole30 so if that’s your thing make sure to follow along and get some inspiration!

    God is good and I’m going to tell you why. 1. I witnessed a really bad car wreck earlier and it could’ve been me but it wasn’t. 2. I drove home in a really bad thunderstorm and anything could’ve happened but I made it home safely. I cried all the way home this evening because I don’t believe that these things are a coincidence. I don’t believe that I’m lucky to be alive. I don’t believe in luck at all actually. I believe in blessings. I believe that I’m blessed and I’m thankful for God’s blessings. I believe that I have this platform to tell you these things. I hope you don’t mind. .

    After being on the road for most of this past week I am REALLY excited to get back into the kitchen and I already know the first thing I am baking will be these Banana Tahini muffins from @thenakdkitchen cause once you make them once you’ll always have to have a batch on hand 🤤 these perfect little muffins will rock your world! I’ll leave Emma’s recipe below 👏 hope you all have been having an amazing week so far! _______________________________
Banana Tahini Muffins (@thenakdkitchen)
3 bananas (mashed) 
1/3 cup tahini 
3 tbsp maple syrup 
1/3 cup almond milk
1 tsp vanilla 
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup melted coconut oil 
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour 
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt 
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips 
1-2 Tbsp sesame seeds for topping

Preheat the oven to 350 and use coconut oil to grease the muffin tin. Combine the wet ingredients. Fold in the dry ingredients. Evenly divide the batter in the muffin tin, sprinkle with sesame seeds + a few more chocolate chips. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool + then prepare your mouth for the best muffin EVER 🧁
