Es gibt die kleinen Samen in vielen Geschmacksnuancen - süßlich, nussig oder scharf. Sprossen und Keimlinge sind reich an gesunden Kohlenhydraten, Vitaminen, Mineralstoffen und sekundären Pflanzenstoffen. Durch die Keimung bilden sich in der Pflanze gesunde Vitalstoffe. Kohlenhydrate und Proteine werden so umgewandelt, dass sie für Menschen besser verdaulich sind und die Nährstoffe im Darm besser aufgenommen werden können.
Die Konzentration der Vitamine und Mineralstoffe ist in Sprossen meist mindestens doppelt so hoch wie in ausgewachsenen Pflanzen. Da sich die meisten Sprossen und Keimlinge roh genießen lassen, gehen bei der Zubereitung zudem keine der gesunden Vitalstoffe durch Hitze verloren.

🍰Low Carb Bacon Egg Muffins🍮

Ingredients
12 slices bacon
12 large eggs
8 ounces cheddar cheese grated

Instructions
Place bacon on wire racks over a rimmed baking pan.
Bake bacon in 400°F oven for 10-12 minutes. Bacon should be taken out before getting crisp.
Spray muffin tins with non-stick spray if needed. Line each tin with bacon.
Whisk eggs in medium mixing bowl. Stir in grated cheese.
Divide egg mixture between muffin tins.
Bake for about 25 minutes at 350°F or until eggs are set.
Remove muffins from tins. Serve warm.

Before the curing process, vanilla beans are green and tasteless.
The curing process is long and arduous, hence the reason vanilla is one of the most expensive spices in the world. The exact process that takes place is very complex and triggers the beans enzymes to convert starches into sugar, which gives you that amazing vanilla taste.
It takes around 4 months to dip, sweat, dry and condition the beans. It also takes an insane amount of patience and passion. Every second they're being cured, they are prone to theft. Even just 1 kg of vanilla beans is often the equivalent of a years wage, for a farm worker in Madagascar.

Have you ever tried pomegranate powder? It’s new for me and it’s been a great addition to my green smoothies, even though it’s a luscious pink colour 💖 It adds a little sweetness that can mask all the healthiness of “green”. I’ve been reading up on pomegranate powder and I’ve been somewhat fascinated by what a powerhouse of goodness it is.
The pomegranate contains lots of vitamins such as Vitamin A, C, K, and vitamin B complex compounds and more. It is also full of minerals like calcium, potassium, copper and manganese. To have a food so powerful with all these minerals is 👌
It has been said that the juice of 100 grams of pomegranate seeds contains twice as many antioxidants as blackberries, more than 3 times as many as blueberries, and 4 times as many as oranges.
Not to mention that pomegranates have been used medicinally for 1000s of years for ailments such as stomach upsets, menopausal hot flashes, hemorrhoids, conjunctivitis, osteoarthritis and it has been used to lower blood pressure, stimulate the immune system, ward off the flu, reduce inflammation, reduce risk of heart disease and lower cholesterol.
No one thing cures all the above but pomegranate seems to be a great addition for a healthier you. Plus,

Many people start their day with a cup of coffee just to wake up, because they go to bed late and scroll social media on their phones or tablets in bed before sleep. No wonder they don't have enough sleep and quality of their sleep is not good either.

Stop taking supplements and energy boosters, it's just a temporary solution, it doesn't solve the problem at its root. You need to go back to basics - sleep, drink enough water, get more fresh air, exercise – those are natural doctors that give you energy. All of them should be part of a healthy long-term solution.

I am fascinated by jellyfish. They are beautiful, whimsical, and mysterious.

In China, some species of jellyfish are considered an aphrodisiac and has been an ingredient in Chinese cuisine for over 1,700 years.

Jellyfish salad, a popular dish in some areas of Asia, is prepared using cold marinated jellyfish that is thinly sliced. It is often included in Chinese banquet menus.

DYK, jellyfish have no 🧠, ❤️, ☠️ or 👀? Their 👄 however is found in the centre of its body.

Second to water, it's one of the most consumed drinks. Thousands of variations now exist, derived from just a handful of types of tea. 🌱
A tea bush planted today can live for 60 years. Meaning, it will produce tea leaves in today's climate and a climate potentially much hotter than now. Protecting these plants from heatwaves, which can shrivel and burn the leaves, is just one challenge producers face. Changes in patterns and intensity of rainfall can also impact how and when a plant grows. 🌿
But did you know that part of what makes tea so special is its sensitivity to variations in the environment? This is why some researchers are now investigating whether climate change will change the way tea tastes. 🌱

SO this hack here is just up my alley because I LOVE hardshell tacos and anything crispy!! 😋That being said- if you’re someone who prefers soft shell tortillas then you may prefer the option on the left! 🤗

Glass transition temperature of polymers in food :- When an amorphous polymer is heated, the temperature at which the polymer structure turns “viscous liquid or rubbery" is called the Glass Transition Temperature, Tg. It is also defined as a temperature at which amorphous polymer takes on characteristic glassy-state properties like brittleness, stiffness and rigidity (upon cooling). The value of Tg depends on the mobility of the polymer chain, and for most synthetic polymers lies between 170 K to 500 K.

Identifying the Tg of polymers is often used for quality control and research and development. Also, it is an important tool used to modify physical properties of polymer molecules.
The most usual test method to determine Glass Transition Temperature of plastics is ASTM E1356. This test method covers the assignment of the glass transition temperatures of materials using differential scanning calorimetry or differential thermal analysis.

⬇️100lbs in 1yr w/Keto

I didn't gain weight after marriage, pregnancy, illness, or anything like that. I just was and lived that since I could feed myself. My mom tried to control it and had me on every diet imaginable since I can remember. I would hide food and eat it when no one would watch and enjoy the hell out of it too! I wish I could tell you how much changing my lifestyle has made me so much happier but the reality is I was happy my entire life (in fact, that photo on the left shows a PURE HAPPINESS tear on my face). I enjoyed my childhood, I enjoyed going to school, I enjoyed activities.

If you're a mom out there going through the same thing my mom went through (myself included because I have a chunky but funky, large and in charge child), please don't do that to your kid. Help them make the best of their life, their NOW. Lead a healthy lifestyle for you and your whole family. They will find their path through example. Be that role model. My mom did a great job at what she thought was best for me. But not having an obesity issue herself, I don't think she knew how to approach that situation. My daughters know my main focus is health. I want them to be healthy and happy. If that means they're happy being big or small, that's fine as long as they are healthy... because big girls can be healthy too... I know it because I was one (still am at heart). Act for yourself and for our small family! .

This is another winter root vegetable I find a lot of fun to work with, you can fry, boil for a purée, roast...but this is not a native French vegetable. Called topinambours in French, sunchoke or Jerusalem artichoke in English (no relation to Jerusalem at all). They were a crop used in North America before the settlers and have a flower similar to a small sunflower. Oddly, this was one North American crop that was used in Europe almost immediately and particularly popular in France during WWII 🇫🇷

Single leg exercises such as a lying leg curl can help prevent injuries by strengthening muscular imbalances, particularly in your gluteus medius and gluteus minimus.

Often people speak about having a 'dominant' side, which effectively means one side is weaker, this can result in straight on the joints and may cause injury over time.

This is how to perform a single leg lying leg curl:
⚬ Drive hips and quads into the pad.
⚬ Use one leg to curl the pad up.

3 CUES TO IMPROVE YOUR HIP THRUST

1️⃣Begin with your feet close to your glutes on the floor, so when you drive your hips upward, your knees are at a 90-degree angle. This will help ensure you are not activating too much hamstring or quad

2️⃣Tuck your chin into your chest and keep it tucked the entire movement, eye glance should be down toward the bar on the pelvis.

3️⃣Scoop your pelvis under by lengthening and curving the spine, this will help to reduce the anterior pelvic tilt and promote better glute activation, using less of the lower back.

Throwback to when my fridge looked like this 😉 Ok, living alone made it much easier to keep my fridge this neat. While my fridge might not be quite this organized since moving in with @chris.rocchio_fit, I’ve still very organized when it comes to my meal prep!⁠⠀

With that in mind, I wanted to give you some tips to crush your meal prep. Here are my top ones for making meal prep easier & more organized:⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
1 - Invest in glass meal prep containers & mason jars: You’ll be motivated to prep once you have the proper storage, your food will last longer in glass and your body & the environment will thank. (I use 16 oz mason jars for overnight oats & 32oz for salad jars)⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
2 - Stock up on spices: They’re a great low-calorie way to flavor your food and they have their own set of benefits.⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
3 - Write the meals/recipes you want to try that week then write your grocery list before you grocery shop: I like to write my grocery list in these 5 categories: Protein, Healthy Fats, Fruits + Carbs, Veggies, & Extras.⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
4 - Multi-task your food: For example, bake sweet potatoes in the oven, chicken on the grill and boil eggs stovetop all at the same time. This will save you time while meal prepping.⁠⠀

5 - Don’t be afraid to start small: Prepping even just lunches in advance can make a big difference for your week.⁠⠀

6 - Invest in some meal prep cooking tools: My current favorites are my Instant Pot, egg cooker, food processor and veggie spiralizer.⁠⠀

7 - Don’t meal prep seafood unless you’re going to eat it in 1-3 days: Seafood does spoil a bit faster than other food combinations.⁠⠀
