Banana Nut Bread - When my mother announced that she was leaving Poland with my father, back to his native country - Ecuador, my grandmother thought she would never see her again. It was 1981. She once told me that between tears and wails she managed to remember that Ecuador had large oil reserves and was a large banana producer. A seemingly simple woman, with only basic education, my grandmother was a woman of great intelligence and a voracious reader. On one occasion, a magazine with an article about that country in South America had landed into her hands.——————————

These were times in which people wrote letters and both did so religiously, filling sheets and sheets with all kinds of details – good ones, of course, bad things should rarely be admitted and exposed – of their daily lives in Ambato (later Quito) and in Zawiercie. From time to time, my grandmother would remove a sticker from the skin of a banana on which it was printed that the fruit was a 'product of Ecuador' and adhered it to one of her letters. Spending her hard-saved zlotys on such a luxury was the way she found to let my mother know that she thought of her. They met again several times over the years, but this was a habit that lasted until the last days my grandmother´s mind retained its sharpness and her legs obeyed her and endured the journey to the store. She never bought bananas that came from anywhere else. Achu Murukku is a famous snack made during festivals in Sri Lanka. 😍

Ingredients :
125 gram Refined Flour
150 ml Coconut Milk
2 Eggs
30g Sugar
A pinch of Salt
1 packet Vanilla Sugar
1 spoon of Food Colouring
Take a bowl and put the refined flour, coconut milk, eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar and food colouring into it. Mix them very well.
Heat a pan with oil ( Its recommended to use wide pans). Put the murukku mould when the oil is hot so that the batter will stick to it.
When the mould has become hot, dip it carefully inside the batter, make sure only the half of the mould is covered with batter. • This is important because the murukku won't get separated from the mould if the whole mould is covered with batter.
Gently hold the mould inside the hot oil. You will see the oil bubbling. After few seconds, shake the mould and the achu murukku will fall off the mould into the oil. You can also use a fork to help it fall. Let it fry in a medium heat till the bubbling of the oil becomes calm.
Flip the murukku half way so that the both sides have a good gold color. In the meantime, leave the mould in that hot oil so that it's ready for the next murukku.
And now you can taste this yummy Achu Murrukku.

Ingredienti
150 g Semolino
400 ml Latte
300 ml Acqua
250 g Ricotta
180 g Zucchero
2 Uova
30 g Burro
1 Scorza d'arancia
1 Baccello di vaniglia
aroma millefiori (o fiori di arancio)
Zucchero a velo

Preparazione
Per prima cosa preparate il semolino. Mettete l’acqua e il latte in una pentola insieme alla scorza grattugiata dell’arancia e fateli scaldare fino a sfiorare il bollore. Unite il burro nella pentola e fatelo sciogliere. Versate a pioggia il semolino e mescolate con una frusta a mano per 5/8 minuti fino a che si sarà ben addensato. Togliete il semolino dal fuoco e fateloraffreddare direttamente nella pentola. Incidete con un coltello il baccello di vaniglia e prelevatene i semini interni. Mettete in una ciotola le uova intere, lo zucchero e i semini del baccello di vaniglia e sbattete con le fruste elettriche fino ad ottenere un composto chiaro e cremoso. Unite anche la ricotta al composto di uova e amalgamateli bene insieme. Per ultimo ingrediente aggiungete anche il semolino ben raffreddato e amalgamate tutto il composto in modo che non ci siano grumi. Versate tutto il composto ottenuto in uno stampo a cerniera ben imburrato. Cuocete il migliaccio napoletano in forno preriscaldato ventilato a 165° per 60 minuti circa. Sfornate il migliaccio napoletano e fatelo raffreddare. Spolverizzate con abbondante zucchero a velo.

Ingredienti
150 g  Semolino
400 ml  Latte
300 ml  Acqua
250 g  Ricotta
180 g  Zucchero
2  Uova
30 g  Burro
1  Scorza d'arancia
1  Baccello di vaniglia
aroma millefiori	(o fiori di arancio) 
Zucchero a velo

Preparazione
Per prima cosa preparate il semolino. Mettete l’acqua e il latte in una pentola insieme alla scorza grattugiata dell’arancia e fateli scaldare fino a sfiorare il bollore. Unite il burro nella pentola e fatelo sciogliere. Versate a pioggia il semolino e mescolate con una frusta a mano per 5/8 minuti fino a che si sarà ben addensato. Togliete il semolino dal fuoco e fateloraffreddare direttamente nella pentola. Incidete con un coltello il baccello di vaniglia e prelevatene i semini interni. Mettete in una ciotola le uova intere, lo zucchero e i semini del baccello di vaniglia e sbattete con le fruste elettriche fino ad ottenere un composto chiaro e cremoso. Unite anche la ricotta al composto di uova e amalgamateli bene insieme. Per ultimo ingrediente aggiungete anche il semolino ben raffreddato e amalgamate tutto il composto in modo che non ci siano grumi. Versate tutto il composto ottenuto in uno stampo a cerniera ben imburrato. Cuocete il migliaccio napoletano in forno preriscaldato ventilato a 165° per 60 minuti circa. Sfornate il migliaccio napoletano e fatelo raffreddare. Spolverizzate con abbondante zucchero a velo.

ОВСЯНОБЛИН с несладкой начинкой

Ну это просто невероятно вкусно. И чудесно-быстро. Поэтому если не планируете печь классические блины (или хотите быстрые к завтраку) пеките овсяноблин.

Собственно, в начинку можно добавить что угодно. Я делала со свежими овощами, со шпинатом в сливках, с лососем 🤤 Рецепт 👇🏻

COPPA STRUDEL
Ingredienti
500 mlLatte
150 gZucchero
50 gFarina 00
4Tuorli
1 cucchiainoCannella in polvere
2Mele
100 gUvetta
50 gPinoli
50 gBurro
3 cucchiaiMiele
.
Preparazione
Preparate la crema: Mettete i tuorli in una ciotola con lo zucchero e montate con le fruste elettriche. Unite la farina e sbattete ancora. Unite anche il latte a temperatura ambiente e mescolate. Mettete il composto sul fuoco basso e mescolate cuocendo 10 minuti. Spegnete, unite la cannella e fate raffreddare. Fate ammollare l’uvetta in acqua tiepida poi scolatela e asciugatela. Lavate e asciugate le mele, tagliatele a spicchi e togliete il torsolo poi tagliatele a cubetti. Mettete in una padella il burro e fatelo sciogliere poi unite le mele. Unite i pinoli e l’uvetta. Unite il miele e fate cuocere per 10/15 minuti circa fino a che saranno caramellate. lasciate raffreddare. Mettete una base di mele cotte e sopra la crema alla cannella. Terminate con le mele cotte e una spolverata di cannella.

Hoy damos por inaugurada la 2ª Edición del #FesEatVal. Una iniciativa creada por @foodyingbcn, @bcngourmet, @sofiamchef6 y un servidor con la voluntad de acercaros nuestros restaurantes favoritos donde pegaros un buen festival, nada más y nada menos que, al 50% de descuento en toda la carta (bebidas no incluidas).

Así que a partir desde hoy, y durante 10 días, os podréis pegar un homenaje en @masala73, nuestro hindú favorito y el primer curry bar de Barcelona.
