New training program of 5x5 seems to be working this is by far the easiest 5 reps @ 180kg I've ever pulled. I can see a lot of new 1 rep Max's on the horizon.

I had the best pump EVERRR the other day when I did GVT hip thrusts! I definitely recommend🤩🤩 it burned so bad and was really hard to get through but it was so good 😭🥵⁣

& on another note... now I’ve upped my bulk, the fat in my face has come back and I have lil back rolls again😅. These used to be such big insecurities of mine but now I actually love them and I’m just embracing them because trust me when I say the food and GAINS are worth it 😍🥰🥰❤️ don’t be afraid to bulk guysss x x.

Started German Volume Training for my next 6 week 5 day split. decided to include biceps in the 10 * 10 routine, getting an insane pump from this. Doing close grip today.

Apologies for the weird facial expressions, not a good look 🤣🤣🤣....this was set 9 and the arms were fried and my inability to keep a straight sexy face 🤣

⚠️ WEEK 3 OF GVT ⚠️



I’m currently running a GVT program to attempt pushing through some plateaus in my strength & add more size to my frame.

So far I have already gotten stronger on my bench press, floor press, barbell row, squat & barbell curl.

My body recomposition approach seems to be working also as my weight is fluctuating through out the work depending on whether I’m in a surplus or deficit for that day.

As German Volume training is such high volume, I’m not looking to hit each muscle group twice per week, however so exercises will indirectly hit other muscle groups such as the floor press hitting the pecs indirectly, the squat targeting the spinal erectors indirectly & more.

I will be looking to post my progress over the next few weeks, will be reducing the volume of my workouts after this 4 week block of GVT is finished, then will be returning to GVT with heavier weight on a lower rep count (10 sets of 5).

Soon I will be looking to perform my compound lifts from a dead stop, using the pin press (close & wide grip for triceps & chest), more box squats with a pause at the bottom, rack pulls & more. This should make my muscles do that little bit extra work & create a new stimulus for growth.

I’ll keep you all posted on my progress.

After 3 sets I had to reduce the weight from #lightweight 33,5kg to 28,5 kg #barbell I felt so weak. I'm weak af in #overheadpress 
Finisher was #tricepsextension with a 25kg #dumbbell I got a little #pump 😁

I love this workout! Id usually make it a monday, Wednesday and Friday workout. Id add in another day for core and accessory muscles.
If you have been training a while and the gains have slowed down, add a bit of German to your training for one week. ⚠️ GERMAN VOLUME TRAINING ⚠️



German Volume Training is also referred to as the "10x10 workout". It involves high seta and moderate repetitions. Typically involves 10 sets of 10 reps focused on 2 specific muscle groups each day.

GVT training programs emphasize different muscle groups each day. The high volume of training for the specific muscle groups on each day ensure you train these muscles close to their breaking points. This approach forces the body to build muscle mass quickly. GVT can be done at a frequency suitable to the trainee, so frequency can be adjusted.

A typical German volume training routine may involve the following: day one, lifter can train his chest and back. This routine usually focuses on opposing muscle groups such as biceps & triceps or chest & back.

My chest & back day:
Bench Press - 10x10 @ 65% of 1RM with 1 min rest
Barbell Row - 10x10 @ 65% of 1RM with 1 min rest
Cable Crossover - superset with pull ups
Eccentric Pull Up - 3x10 with 1 min rest
Hanging Leg Raises - 3x10 superset with cable crunch

Well couldnt quite put my money where my mouth was as I set out to pull a 220kg deadlift but had to settle for a new 216kg pb which I'm buzzing about. Woke up at 286...a couple more pounds lost.
Worked arms and chest hard tonight-for tris and bis, did a #GermanVolumeTraining circuit which is 10x10 with 1 minute rest periods.

The main thing is to not overcomplicate the components - as is often tempting to overcome 'boredom'... Simplicity is key!

Going to be doing GVT once a week on squats (German Volume Training). It’s bloody disgusting and I hate it, so it must be good...
Failed miserably today tho. 120kg 10x10, 60s rest. Nope! Managed 5x10 and then 5x5. Trying something new—
“German Volume Training.”
Have you heard of it? Or have you done it? I had to google it when it popped up on my training app. Also known as the “10 x 10 workout” or the “10 Sets Method.” According to bodybuilding.com, this method is so effective it can help lifters gain lean body mass, and so efficient many move up a full weight class within 12 weeks. 😯 .
How it works....
You do 10 reps of the same weight for 10 rounds, with 60 secs rest in between sets. Your weight should be calculated at about 50-60% of your max for that lift. It’s deceiving because at first...you think it’s easy. But let me tell you I was STRUGGLING after only 5-6 sets.
Today, I did—
10x10 of:
Front Squats
Barbell Deadlift.
Done ✅
This is all part of the app program I am following @nakedprogram when I’m at #planetfitness commercial gym. I’m excited to see where this takes my muscles 💪 and body composition. I fully expect to gain! 🙌 .

German Volume Training (GVT) has been around for a long time. It’s been used by bodybuilders and athletes to pack on added muscle
.
The formula is quite simple. Pick 2 compound movements that are opposing each other (ie chest and back) and alternate them doing 10 reps of each back to back and taking a 90 second break afterwards. Repeat this 10 times. Once you can achieve 10 x 10 of an exercise, add about 5% more weight the next time you do it. Straightforward way of getting in a lot of volume and utilizing progressive overload. After you’re done, you can add a few exercises for each body part and do 3-4 sets of 10 reps of each. Simple and efficient workout.

Let’s talk German Volume Training:
I’m new to this topic, but heard sooo much good things about it that I had to give it a go!
So what is GVT? Basically, you pick an exercise and preform it 10x10 times. Also, you stick with one weight for the ten sets! .

Today was leg day🤓 (lol I swear I train other body part too).
I split my workout into:
1. Hip Trusts - 10 x 10 (60kg) 60sec rest in between sets
2. Leg press - 10 x 10 (50kg) 45sec rest
As this was my first time doing GVT I stuck with low weights that I knew I could managed. THE BURN IS REAL 😅 And definitely shreds a sweat 🤓

Remainder of workout:
- Walking lunges (3x24) - Good mornings SS straight leg deadlifts (3x12 each)
Finisher: - 5mins stretching and foam rolling

Booty and triceps both poppin on this shweaty leg day💦 Over the past couple of months I’ve started to focus on form a lot more and less on how much weight I’m putting up, but I’m excited to start focusing more on getting back to that 225 club🏋🏼‍♀️
Today’s leg day I focused on German Volume training- which is 10 sets of 10 reps at 60% of your 1RM. I included both squats and deadlifts into it today so I will definitely be feeling the soreness tomorrow 😅
