Booty day 🍑 I’m still eating in calorie deficit so I can lose all the baby weight and this makes it hard to increase strength! It’s been 16 weeks post baby so I think it may be time to start bulking and grow this booty.
Today’s workout went down like this.
Back Squats 5X8-12
Straight leg deadlift 4X8-12
Hamstring Curls 4X10-15
Glute Bridges 4X8-12
Bulgarian spilt squats 4X10-15
Lunges 4X Failure

Kann der Sport die Persönlichkeit verändern? 🏋🏼‍♂️ Ich bin durch ein Gespräch mit einer langjährigen Freundin zum Nachdenken gekommen (ja, das soll manchmal vorkommen 😅) und zwar darüber, was dazu geführt hat, dass sich persönlichkeitstechnisch doch ein paar Dinge bei mir in den letzten Jahren verändert haben, bestimmte Denkweisen zum Beispiel. Zum Einen ist es auf jeden Fall die gezielte Auseinandersetzung mit gewissen Themen. Aber: Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass auch das Krafttraining einen gewissen Anteil dazu beigetragen hat. Denn es ist wirklich etwas, das ich von Anfang an nur für mich gemacht habe. Ich habe alleine beschlossen, damit anzufangen, habe mir fast alles, was ich über Training und Ernährung zum heutigen Tag weiß, selbst angeeignet und mit der Zeit bemerkt bemerkt: Wow, du (du allein) kannst wirklich erreichen, was du dir vornimmst, wenn du die nötigen Schritte gehst, du kannst sogar mehr erreichen, als du vielleicht noch anfänglich gedacht hast. (Wo wir auch wieder beim Thema Selbstwirksamkeit wären!)
Ich finde, man kann das Ganze irgendwie gut als eine Art „Trockenübung“ für’s Leben sehen. Ziele setzen, Durchhaltevermögen beweisen, verschiedene Wege ausprobieren, manchmal scheitern, sein Handeln überdenken, Neues ausprobieren, dazu lernen, dann wieder Erfolg haben. Ich würde lügen, wenn ich behaupten würde, dass ich, alles, was in diesem Bereich für mich funktioniert 1:1 auf alle andere Lebensbereiche übertragen könnte (manche anderen Sachen machen mir dann halt auch einfach weniger Spaß), aber: Mein „Mindset“ hat sich definitiv verändert und ja, dafür ist auch dieses, vielleicht von außen betrachtet, so stumpfe Pumpen verantwortlich. Vielleicht kann der eine oder andere sich damit identifizieren? Würde mich mal interessieren 😇

My favorite way to hit weight days is by super setting 👉🏼 doing one exercise then immediately do the next exercise and rest after.

I always like to throw in a cardio element to my work outs to really get my heart rate up and burn more💦

Nu har det gått mer eller mindre en vecka sedan man tränade sist, så sjuuukt rastlös så det finns inte😫

Det är när man blir riktigt sjuk förstår hur viktig träningen faktiskt är för en! Men får satsa på att vara tillbaka i början av nästa vecka igen, för annars är risken att jag börjar klättra på väggarna alltså😂

Getting laid off sucked but at least I have this little dood to keep me company // I’ve felt feelings of confusion, shock, stress, depression, clarity, and peace all in the span of a week. I decided to take myself over to @y7studio last night to clear my head and my instructor said something that resonated deeply with me. “Whatever you are going through right now is similar to this practice. No matter how dark the tunnel is that you may be in, you need to remember that there’s still a light at the end of the tunnel” - I’ve never really “clicked” with the yoga community until I was introduced to Y7 by a friend. Candle lit dark rooms, hip hop music, hot temps - sweating out all the negativity.

Wie sieht ein „PAUSENTAG“ - bei mir aus⁉️🤔

Sehr häufig bekomme ich Nachrichten / Reaktionen auf meine Stories, dass ein „Restday“ doch kein „RESTDAY“ sei, wenn ich Cardio mache☺️. Natürlich steht an einem „PAUSENTAG“ die Regeneration an erster Stelle. Nur so erzielt Ihr auch beim Ziel des Muskelerhalts - oder auch Muskelaufbau die gewünschten Erfolge 👐🏻. Denn wie Ihr bekanntlich sicher wisst, wächst der Muskel nur in den Ruhephasen 💡🔛. Gerne bau ich jedoch an meinem Krafttrainings - Pausen - Tagen eine moderate Runde Cardio ein. Hiermit habe ich nicht das Ziel, Fett zu verbrennen oder meine Ausdauerleistung zu verbessern. Mir geht’s damit lediglich um mein Aktivitätslevel und die tägliche Bewegung meines Körpers 💃🏻. Da ich oftmals viel im Auto sitze oder generell eine vorwiegend sitzende Tätigkeit habe, brauche ich unbedingt auch an den trainingsfreien Tagen etwas Bewegung 😊. Sofern Ihr natürlich sowieso unter dem Tag viel Bewegung habt oder einige „Schritte ansammelt“ - ist das natürlich nicht zwingend notwendig für ein gesundes „Herz-Kreislauf-System“ ☺️.
Wenn ich Lust habe, nehme ich mir zusätzlich an den Pausen - Tagen noch die Zeit ein paar Mobilitätsübungen / Dehnübungen zu machen oder baue mal eine Übung Bauchmuskeltraining o.ä. ein 😉. Das nenne ich dann ganz gerne auch „Aktive Pause“ 🙌🏻~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ .

I am so proud of my mental state and how far I’ve come . I am getting stronger day by day . I realize where I need to put my energy and where it’s undeserving of my energy. Gym done! Day 16/66 #gymshark66 and going strong 💪

Today's workout was pretty simple as I didn't have a lot of energy, but I'm pleased that I still went and did something!

Alright, we’re about halfway through the first month of the first new year. How is everyone’s New Year's resolution going?

I didn’t specifically set a New Years resolution, but I set some fitness goals up in my head that I want to accomplish by the end of the year.

Squat: 250lb
Bench: 125lb
Deadlift: 350lb
Hip thrust: 405lb
Chin ups: 1 with 35lb
Steps: 10k steps/day

Are they lofty? Sure. Will I reach them? Who knows. I’ll count every progress along the way as victory to getting me closer.

But what does reaching these goals entail?

Well, I’ll have to stay consistent with workouts. I do 3 full body workouts a week and incorporate at least 1-3 of those lifts in at each workout.
I’ll have to make sure my diet is right most of the time. I’ll need to fuel my body for the workouts and for recovery. I need to hit a protein goal of at least 100g of proteins day for me, and eat a couple servings of vegetables for ⅔ if my daily meals.

I also need to make sure I get enough sleep. My body does great with 7 hours so making sure I get 7 hours every night.

And steps? Mainly cause I want to keep my NEAT up, I focus on steps. This means I’ll need to continue my walks with my dog before and after work and get it in during lunch if necessary.

As a nutritionist, I see so many tips, tricks, hacks, and “secrets” to weight loss, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that there are no QUICK FIXES. Here are some of the top tips I start my clients off with. If you can incorporate them all or even a few, consistently, over time, I guarantee you will see change. It doesn’t have to be drastic, just sustainable. ⁣

Here are some of my faves: ⁣

1️⃣Drink a glass of water before each meal. ⁣
2️⃣Add a serving of vegetables to every meal. ⁣
3️⃣Slow down, and eliminate distractions while eating. ⁣
4️⃣MOVE more. ⁣
5️⃣Switch to black coffee. ⁣
6️⃣Include a protein source with every meal/snack ⁣
7️⃣Portion control. Measure out a serving vs. eating from the bag. ⁣
8️⃣Stay ACCOUNTABLE. Find a way to log your food, whether it’s an app, the notes section of your phone, or pen and paper. Write it down and keep track. ⁣

Have you noticed that your story views have fluctuated these past couple of weeks? One day they were sky high and the next you’re barely getting any views at all? If so, you’re not alone. The reason you’ve been experiencing this fluctuation is due to bots. Yup, good old fake accounts. But don’t worry – IG knows this is a thing and your account isn’t in jeopardy.

Many large accounts have paid for 3rd party services to view their stories. This helps boost their story views and reach, which makes their account look better for potential collaborations and in an attempt to grow their following (this doesn’t work, btw).

IG is obviously against this and they’re cracking down on all these fake accounts. They have implemented several measures to reduce the number of fake accounts and bot activity – specifically in IG stories. If you’re still noticing a fluctuation, don’t worry. It should balance out in a week or so once Instagram finishes this round of “spring cleaning”. I think this is a really good thing and love when IG does this. How do you feel about it?

I‘M BACK!!! Long time no post, but here I am. I really needed some time off social media to gain some inspiration and motivation for the new year and now I am feeling fresh and new.
My knee has pretty much healed and this week I‘ve been full on training again. I not only didn’t train for about 3 weeks, I also increased my weights in almost every exercise and you can only imagine how sore I am - but it feels pretty damn good to be honest. I was always a bit afraid to go really heavy on certain exercises and therefore limited myself. But now that I tried lifting heavier, I realized that I am much stronger than I ever thought, which motivates me a lot. So on that note: the only limit you have is the one you set for yourself. Don’t underestimate your abilities! ✨

Ich war nun echt eine Weile ziemlich inaktiv, aber jetzt bin ich wieder da. Ich brauche eine kleine Pause, um wieder neue Motivation und Inspiration für das neue Jahr zu gewinnen und nun fühle ich mich wieder frisch und vor allem wie ich selbst.
Mein Knie ist nun größtenteils verheilt und diese Woche habe ich im gym wieder richtig Gas gegeben. Ich hatte nicht nur drei Wochen Pause, sondern habe auch in fast allen Übungen mein Gewicht gesteigert. Ihr könnt euch meinen Muskelkater also vorstellen haha - aber es fühlt sich verdammt gut an. Ich war eine ganze Weile immer sehr vorsichtig damit meine Gewichte zu erhöhen, was wahrscheinlich mein größter Fehler bisher war. Ich hatte immer Angst davor mich zu verletzen, aber jetzt da ich es mal probiert habe, merke ich, dass ich um einiges stärker bin als ich je dachte. Und das motiviert mich total. Also in diesem Sinne: fordert euch selbst etwas heraus und unterschätzt eure Stärke nicht.✨
