Wow! Great to see #teamgoalie get rewarded for their efforts.
@elisevaljaots and I worked hard to prepare the goalies for this tournament and they were up to the challenge.

What was a surprise was how much this #goalieline supported each other. This made the whole journey feel even more rewarding.

Lucas and Justin you guys did everything that was asked for by Coach @remiinem and us and we couldn't be happier for your shared successes.

    Intangibles - Resilience - 101
Featured⭐️: Nicole Hensley, 🇺🇸 USA Olympian @nichens29
Resilience is characterized as the ability to positively adapt within the context of significant adversity (Hill et al., 2018). Defining resilience and measuring it has been quite challenging for Sports Psychologists. Some say it is a dynamic interaction between things like social support, positive personality, motivation, confidence and focus.
As mentioned in our first post, IQ understands that not everything about a goalie can be measured, some things are intangible. For an example of resilience we must turn to living examples in the position.
Goaltending is dominated by agility and quick movement, mental skill and neuro-visual skill. Women’s goalies have shown that they can dominate in these categories and play in any league they please.
Until psychological research perfects the measurement of resilience, women goaltenders and women in sport are perfect examples of resilience. Fighting daily for the equality they deserve. If you need to work on your resilience, take a professionals word on how to deal with adversity in the crease:
In a conversation with @nichens29 , she told IQ that “the best goaltenders have short memories. They aren’t thinking about the last goal that went in or the last save they made. They are focused on the next shot. That’s how they bounce back so quickly. They’re focused on the present rather than the past.” Share if you agree!

What stance is best to get into Butterfly faster??⠀
⠀
3 off-ice moves that will help you stop every shot (almost) 😝in this VIDEO. You better check it out because the other goalie two goalies who are going to be on the ice with your team in a few weeks (oh yeah, plus the over-ager that showed up out of no where) have already seen this video and they are already doing these things.⠀
⠀
He asked me not to tell you about it, but I like you so, here it is…⠀
⠀
Watch it here >> http://www.goalietrainingpro.com/goalies/ice-hockey-goalies-stop-every-shot-with-these-3-moves/⠀
⠀
Basically, we start out on the ice looking at what big movements or abilities give you the best chance to make that first save and more importantly they set you up to make the second or third (or if you play hockey like me – your 7th or 8th save 😁).⠀
⠀
Then we head back into the gym for the three off-ice goalie exercises that will help you execute on the ice.⠀
⠀
If you ever see guys using a med ball on the ice this video shows you the right way to do that AND how you can train similar patterns off the ice.⠀
⠀
Go get it… and then TAKE ACTION.⠀
⠀
I hear you - - - 'but I can't click on the link 😱' - no worries, the link is in the bio for you. Here's how that works - ⠀
⑴ You click 👆 on the GTP logo above, that takes you to the profile; ⠀
⑵ You click 🖲 on the ONLY url in the profile (there is only one); ⠀
⑶ You find 👀 the image(s) from this post and click on that - Woohooooo!

Shout out to the Burke sisters who work hard on and off the ice. Solid habits in training sessions and a desire to learn the game. .
.
.
PGI delivers them drills derived from game scenarios, with a expected commitment to rebounds, and good technical/tactical habits. At this year’s summer camp, we provided each athlete with access to goalie theory concepts from our online goalie course, the 360 Goalie Program, in advance along with learning solutions after the camp. .
.
.
We provide every goalie with the chance to Learn. Train. And Perform.

2 years ago we went to Japan with @lbrossoit to run camps. This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming one of the goalies we worked with over there to our camp here in Vancouver! We loved seeing how far @tatsunoshinator has come & we wish him all the best in his upcoming season with @kaisers_ih

Sometimes being a goalie feels like you’re completely faceless. You’re out there grinding every day, doing everything you can to be at your best. But no matter what you say or do, nobody seems to understand you. So if you ever feel like you have no place to turn or you’re tired of silently struggling all the time, remember that #LiftTheMask is here to talk and help you take that first step towards better mental health and performance. We understand the grind and we value your voice, no matter who you are or where you’re from. Advocating and promoting mental health doesn’t have to be a big production, either. It’s simply just having open conversations and discussions in your everyday life. The more we lift our masks to talk about these things, the more likely we are to be understood!

Next Week's Camp is Sold Out! A huge thanks to our clients and goalies for the trust you place in our program. We are incredibly proud of all the effort you put in to achieve your "saves". Also a special thanks to all the STPG staff. You can't run a successful camp without great instructors and shooters that truly care about the development of each student. Can't wait to hit the ice! #soldout #goalie #coach #training #goalietraining #development #hardwork #effort #hockey #camp #life #stopthepuck

It's been a great 4 days in a row training with @noahaltman31 and @grains88. These two have been grinding at a high pace all week with some great shooters. Best of luck to both of you as you head out to start your seasons. Nice work boys! #egdgoaltending
