💡Abbiamo spesso sentito parlare di frequenza pasti, e che per perdere peso è molto meglio mangiare tanti piccoli pasti . In realtà il discorso è molto piu’ ampio ed è solo uno dei concetti della piramide di Helms.

🙌🏻Se è vero che magiare piu’ frequentemente porterebbe ad aumentare il TEF ( Termogenesi indotta dalla digestione del cibo), avremo tuttavia continui sbalzi della curva glicemica senza considerare il fattore STRESS implicato dal metterci li a mangiare o preparare ogni 2 ore anche quando non abbiamo tempo. -
🙅🏻‍♂️Queste ‘’affermazioni’’ nascevano dal mito di mantenere l’ambiente anabolico ( qualora si fosse in bulk) oppure evitare il catabolismo con un deficit proteico protratto nel tempo. -
🧠Fortunatamente il nostro corpo è molto piu’ intelligente di queste affermazioni e dagli studi scientifici recenti è stato dimostrato che un minimo di tre pasti al giorno è piu’ che sufficiente per evitare qualsiasi catastrofe ed arrivare lo stesso all’obiettivo.

🔥Quindi il mio consiglio è quello di mangiare il numero di pasti adeguati alla tua quotidianità, partendo tuttavia da una base di 3!

I’m starting to see a pattern where every other rest day or so I go out for a meal 😅🙈 2nd rest day of this week and I couldn’t have been happier when the waiter finally brought my food over. •
I’m fully aware that this week I’ve gone wayyyy over my calorie intake (again, I’m not counting just intuitive eating) so that is motivating me even more to push myself during training. Last night’s meal was for a friend’s leaving party as he will be embarking on a trip to Australia for the next 2 years. (@louchappy I’m very jealous🤣)

hey guys! sorry i have not been as active as I normally am on here. School, exercise, and nutrition are taking up all of my time and social media isn’t one of my major priorities right now! I promise my physique is not slacking though. I’ve been really happy with the progress I’ve been making, focusing on getting a little bit leaner and trying to get some more of my shape back while aiming for several strength goals and supplementing with bodybuilding accessory work as usual.

Two new things I’ve implemented into my training routine:
-
1. Cardio (incline treadmill, elliptical, or stair master)
In the past I used to do the stairclimber at a super high intensity for 10 minutes or less each day. Upon reflection, I was cheating myself because I was basically holding on to the railings on the side for dear life and making it a sprint. By alleviating half of my weight (by supporting myself to much on the sides) I made the cardio a lot EASIER and therefore was not burning as many calories as I thought. I’m now a strong believer of moderate paced cardio for 15-20 minutes 2-3 times a week. It’s helped my metabolism, kept me significantly leaner, and actually improved my sleep quite a bit.

2. Pullups: I’ve been starting every workout with 100 pull ups as a warm up and it’s made the world of a difference. My lats are developing at a significantly higher rate and the thickness/strength in my back has contributed to better support on some of my compound lifts (bench and squat specifically) as well as an obvious increase in strength with corresponding rowing movements (bent over row, dumbbell row, etc). I typically do 10 sets of 10 with 20-30 second rest intervals between sets, lasting around 6-7 minutes as a warm up. If 100 pull ups seems like too daunting of a task, maybe shoot for a lower number. If you want to get better at an exercise, you have to practice it!

hey guys! sorry i have not been as active as I normally am on here. School, exercise, and nutrition are taking up all of my time and social media isn’t one of my major priorities right now! I promise my physique is not slacking though. I’ve been really happy with the progress I’ve been making, focusing on getting a little bit leaner and trying to get some more of my shape back while aiming for several strength goals and supplementing with bodybuilding accessory work as usual.

Two new things I’ve implemented into my training routine:

1. Cardio (incline treadmill, elliptical, or stair master)
In the past I used to do the stairclimber at a super high intensity for 10 minutes or less each day. Upon reflection, I was cheating myself because I was basically holding on to the railings on the side for dear life and making it a sprint. By alleviating half of my weight (by supporting myself to much on the sides) I made the cardio a lot EASIER and therefore was not burning as many calories as I thought. I’m now a strong believer of moderate paced cardio for 15-20 minutes 2-3 times a week. It’s helped my metabolism, kept me significantly leaner, and actually improved my sleep quite a bit.

2. Pullups: I’ve been starting every workout with 100 pull ups as a warm up and it’s made the world of a difference. Training läuft bei mir, an der Ernährung muss ich noch schrauben. Muss endlich wieder anfangen mein Essen zu wiegen.
