What a great day to start the day. I give up trying to eat breakfast atm, I suck at it for a start and always wake up late. Tbh, did wake up at 10am today but never am hungry first thing in the morning and by time I’m hungry, it’s lunch time!!

I had 100ml of @alpro coconut milk which can count as 1 syn or you can have 400ml for your hea!!! For me, 100ml is enough. I put two strawberry @quickmilkuk in as well so it tastes just like a strawberry milkshake. 1 syn for each straw!! 2 syns for them both. Cannot go wrong!!! .

I can vividly remember when I was still a lad and I'll fall sick, my mother used to make all these weird looking green concoction. Inasmuch as they tasted really bad and I never wanted to drink them, they always worked wonders! Green speaks health and freshness. Green foods are recommended as the best by world's leading medical experts. PC: @pexels .

You know those days where one minute, you feel on top of the world, the next, you can’t shake off negative thoughts & it feels as though they’ll be there forever. Sometimes it’s hard to feel like things will ever get better or days will be easier.

How often is it that each and EVERY day, I have an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. Whether it’s helping an aspiring athlete to become better and hopefully to get closer his/her athletic goals or helping someone to become more physically fit/healthy, or just the individual who doesn’t know what they want but feel as though they need direction/guidance (mentoring). No matter what the need is, it’s all a blessing to be that answer. And I haven’t nor ever will take that for granted. I love what I do and the lives that I can impact. Funny thing is that I feel as though I am the one winning, because the smiles and hugs that I see each and every day truly make me smile. First full week of training done. After five sand practices, four work outs, and four cardio sessions I am ready to recharge for two days before getting back after it next week. The biggest take away from this first week is placing a focus to ensure I am consuming enough calories and sleeping enough to be best recovered for the next session. Historically I under recover because I am just not eating the volume necessary to replace what I have burnt or am not getting enough quality sleep to recharge for the next day. People always thinks it’s great getting to eat a large number of calories a day, but let me tell you as the end of the week approaches and you are challenged both mentally and physically, eating can become a chore.

Placing a priority this offseason on both these areas has made for some significant improvements in the way I feel in training come Thursday and Friday. On training days I aim to consume between 3800-4300 cal on average and get at least 9 hours in bed (that doesn’t always mean 9 hours of sleep). Swipe right to see Monday’s training volume, calories burnt, recovery and sleep time. Looking to improve my sleep performance next week by making some adjustments leading into the highest volume training days (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) so I can get the most out of training!

Same! Turns out that Brazilian jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, and CrossFit were all too much for me. Yoga isn’t too bad, but they have circle time in prenatal yoga and everyone watches you talk. Yikes! Apparently, I can’t even handle the YMCA. Through years of trial and error, I’ve found my sweet spot!

How was your week?
I don’t know about you but there’s something about a new year that’s so motivating to me!
It’s not just about motivation though, it’s also about consistency and dedication - even persistence.

So far I’ve managed to stick to my goal of moving my body everyday and I’m feeling so good for it! I haven’t felt so physically strong in ages!
That coupled with running a business, studying (as always) and mum life means that I also experience that dreaded mum guilt with the struggle of trying to juggle everything. But honestly...I’ve never been so content and excited for what’s to come! Both in my personal life and professional life. 2020 we’ve got this!

Well deserved breakfast after a very hard spin sesh! Who sprints on gear 20!!!! The instructor was crazy!! So a cooked breakfast was much needed. Week 5 of marathon training done! 🏃🏼‍♀️🙌🏻 finished with a sunny 12 miler. Pavements were very icy so had to take it easy, and the local parkrun was cancelled because of this so didn’t get to do any parkrun tourism in the middle of my run

Quite a few people unofficially ran the parkrun anyway so I did it a couple of times to get my miles in!

Right calf hurt a bit for the first few miles but then was fine for the rest of the run 🤗 so glad I got my long run in early, now I can relax and spend the weekend with my girls 😁💕

Our minds and bodies give us the ability to achieve so much in life, but also with the right care and recovery a long the way.... .

Intending to push myself to my full potential this year, but realise now from mistakes I have made in the past that this can’t be done with out the right after care and mindset- prioritising more sleep, increasing my flexibility, scheduling time on technology and improving my organisation are all things that have helped me see big improvements already! .
What has helped you improve your training/mindset so far this year? .

Start the weekend out strong! Do something good for your body. Core Sculpt Abs workouts are short, so there is no excuse for time! They are Hard I won’t lie, but they deliver results!! You’ll sweat, you will push yourself to finish but you’ll be so glad you did.
Remember Abs / core strength take consistency!! Do these classes daily. 7 works outs. 1 for each day of the week.

Common mistakes... episode 4️⃣

‘I just want to lose fat from my belly, I’m happy with everywhere else’

Unfortunately you cannot choose where you lose the fat from on your body ❌ and concentrating on certain exercises e.g. just doing leg exercises because you only want to lose fat from your legs, will not work!

Spot reducing fat is impossible. And every one is different, so where one person loses fat from first could be totally different to another.

The key is just to be in a calorie deficit and be CONSISTENT, the results will come, it may just take a bit longer to come off certain areas of your body but keep going 💪🏼.

I know some of you have been wondering why I haven’t been as active on here & I so appreciate all the messages. I was looking forward to announcing that I was pregnant. Unfortunately, life had another plan. When we found out we were expecting we were over the moon excited but worried beyond belief because that’s the reality of infertility. We hoped & prayed that everything would be okay. Over the course of a week I had taken 22 at home pregnancy tests...even after blood work confirmed our pregnancy because I just couldn’t believe it. A few weeks later we learned that we were possibly experiencing an impending miscarriage. Our hearts were broken. We were told to come back in a week. When we did...we were in shock when the ultrasound tech let us hear our baby’s heartbeat! We were completely confused & couldn’t believe it! In fact we kind of stumped the office & were immediately sent to a specialist. Our doctor thought we were experiencing a cornual pregnancy (a rare form of an ectopic pregnancy.) The specialist didn’t believe this was the case. He did however confirm that we had conceived twins! However “Baby A” never developed & “Baby B” was measuring small, 6 days behind. We had hope though. We heard a strong 146 bpm heartbeat so we were cautiously optimistic. On Monday we went in to see how “Baby B” was progressing. We left shattered. “Baby B” stopped developing, no heartbeat. So today we arrived at the surgery center where I had to have surgery, a D&C to remove our babies. I know this is an incredibly raw, personal & vulnerable thing to share but I’m sick of hiding our heartbreak & the grief we‘re experiencing. So many women keep things like this to themselves & that’s completely okay. I’m not so good at masking my feelings. I know now just how common pregnancy loss is & I think women are amazing human beings for going through what we often do & still moving forward in life. We’re holding on to this silver lining knowing that we are able to get pregnant. &, remaining hopeful that we will have a healthy pregnancy and baby in the future. Send us all your prayers & positive vibes as we navigate our loss.
