Wishing it was #pizzafriday for me but instead I’m eating leftovers 😂 Throwing it back to my fave pizza combo - cauliflower crust (I get mine at Costco), marinara sauce, bell pepper, broccoli, @yvesveggiecuisine veggie pepperoni, and @daiyafoods mozzarella shreds 😍 I love making pizza at home like this because then I can load it up with alllll the toppings 😁 Usually my pizzas are so loaded it’s extremely messy to eat, but I am totally fine with that 🤷🏼‍♀️ .

Happy Friday! 🥳 It’s finally the weekend 🙌🏻 Definitely excited for this loooong week to be over, and to finally sleep in past 4am tomorrow 😬 it’s supposed to rain all weekend so I probably won’t see much of the outdoors, but I am planning on starting some work on getting the envelopes all addressed to our wedding guest list for our save the dates ☺️ I’ve received mixed thoughts from people regarding save the dates and if you should even send them at all 😅 Ben and I are planning on sending save the dates in Feb and then formal invitations in May/June for our September wedding - if you’ve gotten married, let me know your thoughts on save the dates and timeline for sending 🤗 we’re still gonna send save the dates though even if some people think they are pointless 🤣 Hope you all are having a great start to your weekend and have a lovely Friday night!! 💕

Today was kinda big for me, completed my first hike of 2020 and my first time hiking Claremont loop. Due to health issues I held back a lot. Changing my lifestyle has let me do so much that I couldn’t before. When we finished the five mile hike I couldn’t help but cry. It was an amazing feeling. .

For the ice cream lovers out there. I made this with a 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 tbsp of cocoa powder, 1/2 tbsp of peanut butter. I blended until creamy then i crushed about 5 coca almonds on top. I also added a little unflavored protein. I'm going to try blending some strawberries w/ coca next time. No need to watch my kiddos enjoy their cookies & cream ice cream. I can enjoy dessert too and so can you😀

Some moves of the day!
Today was day 96/100 workouts in my current program.
I'm not going to lie, at the beginning of this one I didn't think I would like it this much.
But it has been such a fun mix of cardio, lifting, HIIT, yoga and martial arts!
What!?! YES! all in this prgram🤪
Monday-Wednesday is our 3 Day Refresh, I've you missed registration thats ok! We will plan another one in a couple months.
I'm so excited to finish out this prgram strong and refresh and reset before moving on to the next one.

Havent checked my results yet, but right now I'm not worried about them, because I know I'm on the right track again! How mentally & emotionally I feel right now is worth the workout therapy for sure!! 💜

Scales can be a great tool to evaluate whether you are improving, or just stuck in 1st gear to destination ‘Nowhere’.

If you don’t understand the HOWs and WHYs on using scales to weigh yourself, then your better off chucking it in the rubbish! Cause, you’ll always be adding extra petty baggage of no self-worth to your closet.

A lot of people get hung up and fixated over digits which can lead to a lot of negative emotions like

❌ Lowers confidence
❌ Panic attack
❌ Why am I not losing weight
❌ I think my scales are wrong
Blah blah blah 🙄

If you find yourself spinning the wheels above, then stop it, it’s not worth it!

Scales should only be used to evaluate your next moves in terms of nutrition and training like

✅ Readjusting of macros and calories
✅ Daily intensity levels on how hard you should be training

That’s it!

What I recommend if you don’t like weighing yourself, is to measure your success in other tangible areas 👇👇👇

➡️ Performance in your workouts
➡️ Visible changes in the mirror
➡️ How your clothes fit
➡️ Positive feelings

This will help your mindset, and keep you from being stuck in 1st gear!

Ok, so this was originally going to be a cauliflower and leek soup, but it turned out so thick and creamy that I felt it appropriate to name it Cauliflower and Leek Chowder. Lucky for you detoxers, this recipe is detox friendly! This recipe is probably my latest obsession and it’s perfect to warm you up on a cold evening.

Day 14- January 24th

Tip- craving something... can't stop thinking about it... EAT IT!

If you find yourself craving something and you try to avoid it and just can't stop thinking about it, do yourself a favor and eat it!
Especially if it has lasted a couple days.
If you can find a healthier way to enjoy whatever you are craving then do that but if you cant it is best to have some and move on.
Most people overeat trying to fill the void of whatever they feel they are missing but if you do yourself a favor and give yourself a little of whatever you are missing you can get back to working on your goals.

Dont take this as eat whatever sounds good but in the case that you have legitimately tried and cant stop craving something this will help you move forward.

This works for me and I understand it may not work for everyone but it is just an idea for you to try if this happens to you.

I was craving some mac n cheese so I had some!

johnsonville Turkey cheddar brat- 3 points
Edamame- 0 points

This really hit the spot. I'm missing my summertime foods.
Also, the brat in the airfryer is great in case you've never tried it! I cooked it at 360 for 6 minutes and it was perfect all the way through.

Starting 2020 with fewer carbs!💪🏾⁣

I’m usually on top of my diet, but I will not lie to you guys. I have a MAJOR sweet tooth. Thankfully, @atkinsnutritionals has low carb solutions that have minimal sugar and still taste great!⁣

Soy sauce is traditionally made from fermented soybeans & wheat used to enhance flavor in Asian cuisine.

For dinner I made a Chicken, Apple, Pecan & Feta Cheese Salad w/ a homemade vinaigrette. This was really good. I toasted the pecans to bring out the flavor. Side note: I add unflavored protein powder to my dressings or sprinkle it on my salad and or food for added protein.

Finally got over my sickness and no more excuses on this journey of self improvement for me and my family. Everytime I'd start to get a good stride with eating healthier and exercising, I would let some excuse derail me. NO MORE. It's commitment time now. Fresh haircut yesterday (thanks @the_black_eye_barber_parlor ) and back to the work out and healthy diet as of the last few days. I'm a man on a mission.

it’s one of those evenings where I just wanna snack on food 😩 Decided to make some little ham wraps filled with light primula cheese spread (HEA) and lettuce, with a side of pickled onions which was syn free and then a jumbo salt and vinegar snack-a-jack for 2syns. Healthy snacking and well within my syn allowance 😊

it’s one of those evenings where I just wanna snack on food 😩 Decided to make some little ham wraps filled with light primula cheese spread (HEA) and lettuce, with a side of pickled onions which was syn free and then a jumbo salt and vinegar snack-a-jack for 2syns. Dinner tonight was stir-fried mangetout, baby corn and pak-choi in a sprinkle of chinese 5 spice, 3 tbsp of water and 1 tsp of dark soy sauce with noodles (which was delicious) and steak (which the steak was left to be desired 🙈🤣) For dessert I had blueberries and cherries and a #fibreone bar the salted caramel square (my fave so far)

Sometimes the idea of salad in winter just doesn’t do it for me. But falafel with giant cous cous definitely satisfies the urge for something less heavy. I mix in pretty much whatever I have available lemon juice, mint, coriander, chopped up olives, pine nuts. I normally whip up a quick dressing with yoghurt mint and lemon juice and the sprinkle feta and pomegranate on top. 👌

The other day I took a screen recording and posted it on my stories. It was about a certain brand and the fact that they promote "all natural" on all of their products. Yet, when you do the research you can find that every single one of their products (besides maybe 3) are filled with fragrance chemicals (almost 3000 to be precise) that are incredibly harmful to our bodies, our pets and our babies!! ⁣

A lot of you responded to it that you had no idea, have been using that specific product for awhile thinking it was safe and much more about it. So I thought I would share more on it.. ⁣

I grew up in a super clean household all around- food & products we used. Since I've gotten older, it's become even more of something I am passionate about. I read basically every single label in the grocery store and yes, even in Ulta and Sephora. My cheat sheet has been the @thinkdirty app on my phone. This is what working from home looks like most days💞 So fortunate I am able to stay home with my babes and still have something that’s mine 💻 especially on these sick days🤧

I’m not going to lie, the adjustment from working 40+ hours a week between two jobs to all of a sudden being on bedrest to mom mode was a struggle for me. Why you ask? Well because not many people can say they ABSOLUTELY love what they do! I DID!!💖 But this season of my life I’m focusing more on my family and still being able to do what I love just in a different capacity! I love HELPING people! That’s why I’m so excited to be able to use that passion to help people in a new way, a HEALTHIER way. As I’m still helping parents through their journey in parenthood, that even looks a bit different these days and I have BIG plans for scaling that help in a new way too! Stay tuned for that😉

Donut know what I’m happier about - that it’s Friday ✨ or that I still have one more of these 𝘊𝘏𝘖𝘊𝘖𝘓𝘈𝘛𝘌 𝘗𝘙𝘖𝘛𝘌𝘐𝘕 𝘋𝘖𝘕𝘜𝘛𝘚 🍩🤔 ⁣Super light/fluffy, chocolatey & low sugar! ⁣

𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:⁣
2 eggs⁣
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce⁣
2 tbsp maple syrup⁣
1/3 cup chocolate pea protein (𝘐 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 @nuzest_usa 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘪𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘤𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘰 𝘣𝘺 @lilsipper)⁣
1/4 cup cacao powder⁣
2 tbsp coconut flour⁣
1/2 tsp baking soda⁣

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: ⁣
1/4 cup coconut butter, melted⁣
1 tbsp cacao powder⁣
Sprinkles 🌈 ⁣

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: ⁣
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F & grease 6-count 🍩 pan⁣
2. Whisk together eggs, applesauce, maple syrup. In a separate bowl, combine pea protein, cacao powder, coconut flour and baking soda. ⁣
3. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix until smooth⁣
4. Add 2 heaping tbsp batter to each donut slot.⁣
5. Bake for 13-15 minutes.⁣
6. Let cool completely. Melt coconut butter and mix in cacao powder. Pour frosting over each donut, and top with sprinkles. Refrigerate for 10 minutes, or until coconut butter hardens.

My hubby and I have taken many journeys over the years. Trips to beautiful beaches, historical places, and majestic mountains. But our most recent journey has been one to health. This experience is worth while and not only keeps us active, but teaches something new. We’ve embarked on this journey with a longer and healthier life as our destination. So far, we’ve engaged in and learned new habits...slowly. Food is not an enemy. And neither is exercise. Combined we’ve LOST nearly 150 lbs and GAINED so much more. We’re nowhere near finished, but sure have loved what we’ve accomplished so far 🙌🏻💓

For a healthy snack or breakfast on the go, these vegan muffins are just the thing. Made without eggs or dairy, they still have a tender crumb, moist texture and almost caramel-like flavour from the bananas 😋😋😋⁣

They are super easy to make, and a great recipe for kids involved! ⁣

▪️1 3/4 cups flour ⁣
▪️1/2 cups oats (GF)⁣ @momafoods ▪️1 teaspoon baking soda⁣

▪️1/2 cup coconut sugar ⁣
▪️2 Tablespoons milled flax seed ⁣
▪️2 very ripe bananas mashed

Same recipe, just the toppings are different! Makes 20 total, I split the dough in half and did 10 of each 💃🏻⁣

• 1 cup natural nut butter (𝘐 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 @traderjoes 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘗𝘉)⁣

They also contain vitamins and minerals including magnesium and iron which contribute to the reduction of tiredness.

FOLLOW HEALTHY GUIDELINES, NOT RULES 😇 If rules are broken, people tend to feel really guilty, so I say principles. My four ‘R’s are, first ‘Respect your body,’ which is about remembering to nourish your body and if you treat it right it will look after you in return. Second ‘Refuel’ you can’t out-train a bad diet. Third ‘Rehydrate.’ About 60% of our body is water so keep topping it up. Finally, ‘Recover.’ You have to be active and to rest. There’s so many links between stress and poor health!

French Toast Friday 🤩 but make it chunky monkey french toast mug cake, ready in less than 5 min 🕺🏻I made only recipe fails yesterday, so needed a delicious win today & I got it with this 👏🏼👏🏼⁣

𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:⁣
1 piece sourdough (or desired bread), 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘴⁣
1 egg⁣
1/3 cup milk of choice⁣
2 tsp maple syrup⁣
1/4 tsp cinnamon ⁣
Optional: banana slices, mini chocolate chips & nut butter drizzle ⁣

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: ⁣
1.In a 12 or 16 oz mug, whisk together egg, milk, maple & cinnamon. ⁣
2.Add in half of the sourdough, then (optional) a few banana slices and mini choc chips, then the rest of sourdough. Make sure all sourdough pieces soak in the egg mixture⁣
3.Microwave for 1:30-2 minutes, stopping every 30 seconds (just for a few seconds) so nothing explodes⁣
4.Top with more banana, chocolate chips & nut butter drizzle 🔥
