    After being vegetarian for over 10 years and loving veggies and fruit (thanks mama) my entire life, becoming vegan a couple years ago was not a big transition. I will say I started back in 2014 with veganuary and was consistent for a couple months but then had cheese every now and again.

I remember almost feeling like I was going through a detox when I made the choice to stop succumbing to my cravings. They went away after a couple of weeks and I found alot of alternatives. The easiest part of making the switch was watching a couple documentaries on Netflix that really encouraged me to understand that the dairy industry was just as cruel as eating meat, I was traumatized frankly and have never looked back.

Grateful to have a partner who also transitioned to veganism a year ago after educating himself about specisim independently. I created this account because I felt like a closeted vegan who was tired with recieving prejudice and cruelty for my beliefs. Now I have a safe space to express my passions.

Currently obsessed with different flavoured olive oils.

“Yo, what foods should I eat to lose weight?” for instance, would be asked by someone who lacks such perspective. ⁣

An individual closer to the other end of the spectrum would understand that specific food choices don’t determine weight gain or weight loss. This person would have it down pat that energy (calorie) intake is the main nutritional determinant of our body composition, with macronutrient breakdown being second. ⁣

He/she would understand that adequate micronutrients and sleep are important factors for achieving a desired body composition as well. ⁣

Therefore, a possible question that 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 individual may bring up would be “which foods are lower in calories, providing more overall volume to make it easier to reach my goal intake each day?” ⁣

Undoubtedly, this question shows that this person is focused on improving dietary choices to make reaching his/her goal intake easier – by putting themselves in position to lose weight while eating the same amount of physical food they were consuming while trying to add on weight in the form of muscle. ⁣

Panqueca de Banana 🍌 com Aveia e Mel 🍯
Ingredientes:
1 banana média madura
2 colheres de sopa rasas de aveia em flocos
1 ovo
1 pitada de sal
1 colher de sobremesa de mel 
Modo de preparo:
Amasse a banana com um garfo, em seguida adicione a aveia, o ovo e a pitada de sal e misture bem até ficar homogêneo.

Unte uma frigideira com um fio de óleo de sua preferência e despeje o conteúdo. Espere soltar a borda e vire, em seguida é só adicionar o mel e está pronto a sua panqueca de banana.
Rendimento:
1 porção 
190 kcal, CHO 29 g, PTN 9g, LIP 5,98 g.

    SO, my 4 day circuit is no longer & I hate to say it, but I'm embarrassed.. after 2.5 weeks I still felt weak, drained, even sick almost & finally I had to listen to my body & make a change! .

I asked Zak "What am I doing wrong?" "What can I do?" & he suggested @planetfitness 30 minute workout room.. not gonna lie I was SUPER skeptical, because how can I possibly do a full workout in that time & feel good about it? BUT I gave it a shot & today I left the gym dripping in sweat & for the first time in 2.5 weeks I felt good!! .

Moving forward I will be doing the 30 minute workouts MWF & cardio/core TT. Change is GOOD & I'm going into this more motivated than ever! QUITTING is not an option & I'm SO excited to see what's to come!! 🤙🏽🤩💪🏽

Happy Wednesday friends! I hope you all are having a good week so far! I’ve been feeling extremely overwhelmed the past couple days with school starting on Monday and everything on my plate! I have so many exciting things happening but in order to do them all, I have to let go of other things I care about! Im the kind of person that wants to help everyone and do everything I can for people which is a blessing and a curse because I eventually burn myself out! I’m learning to make myself a priority and doing what I know is best for me, even if it means upsetting other people! I will update you guys on what’s going on soon! Thank you all for your constant love and support, I appreciate it more than you know and i am so thankful for this community ❤️

Drinking plenty of water is one of the simplest yet foundational choices we make to aid in feeling our best!
.
Many people struggle to drink water throughout the day, but are easily able to drink coffee, juices, etc. If you don’t love the taste of water on it’s own or just want to treat yourself to a refreshing “spa water”, adding flavorful fruit and herbs to your water can be a huge game-changer.
.
Swapping a sugary drink a day (or multiple sugary drinks a day) with water can make a huge impact for your overall health and help you lose weight naturally. Water can help with weight loss since it helps keep you full and has even been shown to temporarily raise your metabolic rate. Additionally, it aids digestive health, and can help improve mood & energy. .
Here’s how to prepare each spa water:
.
1- Lemon Blueberry: Combine 3-4 thin slices of lemon, a handful of blueberries & ice water. Give the fruit some time to soak in the water & then enjoy!
.
2- Strawberry Mint: Slice 4-5 medium sized strawberries and add them into a cup with water and ice along with a few mint leaves. Let soak & hydrate!
.
3- Lemon, Cucumber, Mint & Ginger: In a cup of ice water, add 3 thin lemon slices, 5-6 thinly sliced cucumbers, mint leaves & grated ginger to taste. Allow time for it to soak & then enjoy!
.
4- Orange Rosemary: Cut 2-3 slices of orange and then cut each slice in half to make semi-circles. Add them into a cup of ice water along with your rosemary (I used 2 small sprigs).
.
5- Cucumber Mint: In a cup of ice water, combine 6-7 thin cucumber slices along with mint leaves to taste. Let it sit and then drink!

6- Raspberry Kiwi: Combine a handful of raspberries and about 6 thin slices of kiwi in a cup of ice water. Allow time for it to soak & it’s good to go!

You can always substitute other fruits & herbs in your spa water as well, these are just some of my favorite go-to’s!
