🥜Carob comes from the same plant family (Fabaceae/Legume) as chickpeas & beans, meaning that like these plants, carob is another nutrient-dense wholefood that many of us can benefit from eating more of.

🥜It is a good source of fibre, antioxidants and minerals that help to keep the bodies acid/alkaline balance in check and has been used medicinally to lower cholesterol, calm digestion and relieve stomach pain.

🥜Unlike many other legumes where the seed is predominantly eaten, with Carob, the seeds are normally removed from the pods and the pod ‘pulp’ is ground into a fine powder that is often used in chocolate & biscuits etc.

🥜When picked straight from the tree, the carob pod has a soft, chewy/crunchy texture that reminds me of a macaron with a deliciously sweet, nutty taste.

I’M ALL ABOUT THIS 🙏🏻 Thankful it’s not worse, thankful I’m still alive to tell the tale, thankful for the air I can breath.
Yes the last few years are certainly not what I wanted or expected.
But it is what it is!
If anything I’m a fighter, a quality my mum installed in me, I try and see the positives in situations how ever hard they are at the time.
Yes I cry, yes I have melt downs and days I feel there is no point. But I try and not let those feelings linger for to long.
I’m a fake it till you make it kinda girl, that need to learn to stop self diagnosing minor elements that turn out to be life threatening conditions but we all have our faults! 😂

But mostly thankful right now for the kind beautiful people in my life that continue to support me when they don’t get much back from me right now.
I promise you, you will get the life and soul of the party Tara back, the one who swears too much, laughs too loudly and say totally inappropriate things.
The one who knows all your secrets because you trust me to keep them.

The one who is fighting now for a long healthy life not a short ill one.

One that plans for the future but also lives in the present.
That Tara will be back this year and this latest bump in the road will not deter me.

A simple home cooked meal is all you need to nourish the body. In the picture, you see Green moong Dal and Raw papaya sabji with rice.

Raw papaya recipe:- Saute 1 medium size finely chopped onion, 2 to 3 finely chopped green chilli and some cumin seed. I use Ghee, you may alternate with any oil you like.
Add 1 big or 2 medium sized tomato (finely chopped or pureed).
Now add some salt, tumeric and black pepper.
Add 3 to 4 cups of small cut raw papaya and just a bit of water. Simmer and cook till papaya is soft. Stirring it once in a while. Or pressure cook for a couple of whistles.

Raw papaya is not just high in Vit C but also fibre rich and yummy if prepared well.

Fried anchovies with garlic has been always my favorite dish since I was little. It’s a dish that would definitely be on the table if my grandma cooks porridge for breakfast. So every time when I wanted to prepare this simple dish for meals I would always remember words I was told since young, ‘Eat more anchovies and your brain will be strong and smart.’ 🤓🧠💡
Often times people would ask me where do I learn cooking? I would always say, from my grandma’s cooking. Self-learning. True enough, I used to stand beside her and look how she prepared all the yummiest dishes when I was young. And now, it’s my turn to cook for her haha..nah, I still prefer my grandma’s legendary cookings! Grandma’s cooking is the best of the best. 😁❤️

All the veggies again tonight. I’m not a huge fan of Thai red curry but this was tasty. These wee pots are great for when you are in a hurry or for taking to work for lunch. 3.5 min in the microwave. I used the left over vegan meatballs and some salad. It was a really simple but tasty dinner.

Les fêtes de fin d'année n'ont pas été bénéfique pour mon rééquilibrage 🙈🙈🙈 La reprise était un supplice. 🥵Et c'est un combat de descendre en dessous des 92kg (qui est un poids pallier pour moi 😩) ,--- mais je désespère pas 👍💪💪💪💪.

My name is Nazli and I am a researcher with nursing background. I have years of research experiences in the field of health promotion and chronic disease management.

Women generally are prune to compromise their health as they are highly busy with  children, job and families. 
I have suffered from a chronic disease for last 6 years and this majorly affected my lifestyle. Lunch idea that's simple and delicious 😍 Guac is just mashed avo + lime juice + sea salt & then I sautéed the shrimp in garlic ghee. I roasted a whole sweet potato then once it was almost done, cut it longways and sautéed it in more lime juice + avo oil.

Find your way into this hidden egg-ceptional cafe in Ghubra to devour some delish yet economical food. My favorite part of our meal was this zingy, fresh, Spicy Beef Salad tossed with some greens and dressed with a sweet, French sauce. It was the perfect dance of flavors!
Also Little A polished off her plate of pink pasta in a jiffy!
As the name suggests they do power packed eggs in multiple ways, you’re sure to find something that tickles your taste buds.
For all my health conscious folk, they’ve slated a new keto menu which I reckon you try!
P.S- I cant wait to go back and dab some of those dishes!

Zelf koken vind ik heerlijk om te doen, maar als je samen kookt dan kun je ook veel inspiratie op doen! .
Laatst dit gerecht gemaakt toen ik bij vrienden ging eten. Pompoen, paprika ( #reintro) ui, knoflook en appel met kaneel en kurkuma en andere kruiden. .
Lekker alles in de pan bakken, na 10 minuutjes een deksel erop en dan wachten tot de pompoen zacht is 😍. Ook lekker met garnalen erbij 😋.

One Pot Lemon Prawn Orzo
A friend of mine made a version of this one night for dinner at the end of last year so I’ve finally decided to create my own! So tasty, really easy making it in one pot with minimal clean up. Lots of yummy flavours and such a nice warming dish! As always, recipe in my highlights! Happy Cooking everyone! 🍤
1 cup orzo
300g cooked prawns
6cm ginger
5 garlic cloves
1/2 red chilli
2 tbsp olive oil or chilli oil
1/4 tsp fennel seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
1 zucchini
1 lemon
1 vegetable stock cube
1 cup boiling water
1/2 block feta
Handful rocket
Finely dice garlic and chilli, grate ginger and add all to a pot or pan with the fennel seeds, cumin seeds and olive or chilli oil. Cook for around a minute so garlic softens then slice the cherry tomatoes in half and add in. Cook for another couple of minutes adding more olive oil if you need. Season well. Boil the kettle at this point. Pour in the orzo and toss so the orzo pieces are well coated. Pour the boiling water into a jug with the stock cube and whisk until dissolved. Pour into the pot and stir again. Squeeze over lemon juice then chop the remaining lemon and add to the pot. Slice zucchini into pieces and add also, then put the lid on and leave for a few minutes. Chop the feta into small cubes and set aside. If when you remove the lid, the mix is sticking to the bottom then add more water. Try the orzo and if it’s soft then add the prawns, rocket and feta, stir until it’s all combined. Then spoon into bowls. Serves 2.

Paleo waffles for breakfast today 😍 Tag someone who would love this recipe 😁

#recipe details 👉🏻 Makes 6-7 mini waffles (or 3- 3 1/2 big waffles).
Whisk 3 eggs
1 mashed banana
1 1/2 cups almond flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp coconut sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
Optional- 1-2 tbsp vanilla collagen or protein.
Mix everything together, heat your waffle iron, grease it with some nonstick spray, add your batter. Let the waffles cook according to the timer on your waffle maker.
I topped these with a little Pb + honey + caramelized bananas 😌 .
