    when you really want oatmeal but it’s low carb day.. you use cauli rice and pretend it’s oats 🤪 obviously not the same thickness and texture as oats but the taste is almost the same!

in my bowl:
-1 c green giant riced cauliflower & sweet potato blend
-2 tbsp natural pb
-1 scoop pb protein
-lots of cinnamon -1/2 strawberries -1 tbsp evoo
first I heated the cauli mix, then added evoo and cinnamon, then added protein and water, heated it up again until I got the same thickness as oatmeal, and topped it with pb and strawberries.. SO GOOD (also had turkey sausage for extra fat and protein!)

    Domácí bubble tea 🍵😺
Ani nevím proč, ale nedávno jsem si na tenhle nedávno dost populární čajík vzpomněla a dostala na něj chuť 😋. Ale co si budem.. není to zrovna nejlevnější 💰 záležitost a už vůbec ne nejzdravější ❎. Tak jsem se rozhodla, že si ho zkusím vyrobit doma ☺️. Potřebujeme:
• tapioka perly
• černý/zelený čaj
• citrón • agávový sirup
• mražené ovoce

Tapioku nejprve několikrát propláchneme vodou. Potom vaříme cca 10 minut a dalších 10 necháme dojít. Kuličky slejeme a necháme "louhovat" v misce společně s agavovým sirupem (nebo něčím jiným, co kuličky osladí). Vychlazený černý, nebo zelený čaj dochutíme citronovou šťávou a dosladíme agavovým sirupem. Do skleničky dáme kuličky a zalejeme čajem. Místo ledu použijeme mražené ovoce. Čaj ochladí a dodá ovocnou chuť.

    I went to a beach clean-up ☀️🌊 this weekend hosted by @thrivemarket and @surfrider . While picking up trash, my sister and I found this huge tumble of cords sitting on the beach—ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! 🤬😖 Who does that? I’m not 🙅‍♀️ smiling in this photo because I’m happy it was at the beach—but because it’s now gone (also I hate taking photos and don’t know what to do other than smile 🤦‍♀️). The sad thing is there’s probably another tumble just like this back on the beach already… 😥 .
While I try to recycle ♻️ and avoid littering, I am not immune. During the clean-up I thought a lot about how I still contribute to it 😪. I do try to buy less waste, less plastic, use more reusable items—but there’s always more we can do. Recycling is not enough. We have to STOP 🛑 using and producing as much waste. .
➡️ That being said, we are human, 🙌 and it’s going to take time to get out of this mess as it has taken time to create it. As you approach your own lifestyle changes to save our planet, remember to make them sustainable changes. We need to find a way to LIVE better long-term, not just for a few days or months. 🙏 I’m not saying this to give ourselves an excuse to dilly dally on change—but to really be considerate of what we can handle. There’s a huge movement to go plastic-free and while this is wonderful in theory, most of us on a health journey know that cutting anything cold-turkey hasn’t proved long-lasting in the past 👎—this won’t be any different if we don’t know what we’re in for or have systems in place to make up for the change. By all means—KEEP TRYING! Keep talking to people, keep educating others and ourselves, and keep making changes. But also maintain 💕compassion with ourselves and others, and the mindfulness that this change is going to require patience as much as it is action. .
🏖 I’ll be going to more beach clean-ups now thanks to @surfrider - they host them multiple times a month so check them out in your area, and come out and join me!

    Black Forest Cheesecake 🙊😁 - packed with superfoods and more nutrition than you could possibly imagine, we have done you the favour of finding an excuse to eat cake any time, any day of the week!🍒😋 Enjoy!!

Ingredients:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Base:
1 and a half cups oats, ground
Half a cup walnuts
Half a cup Brazil nuts
Three quarter cup almonds
5 dates
2 teaspoons cocoa powder🍫

Filling:
500g silken tofu
6 dates
Half a cup coconut milk🥛🥥
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 and a half teaspoons agar agar

Jam:
15 cherries 🍒
2 teaspoons chia seeds
2 dates ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Method:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Base:
1. Blend nuts and oats until a sticky dough is formed. 
2. Blend dates into a paste and then add to dough along with cocoa powder
3. Press into cake tin and bake at 180 °C for 20 minutes
4. Transfer to freezer and leave to cool

Filling:
1. Blend dates into a paste before adding remaining filling ingredients and blending further until super smooth😎
2. Cook in pan on medium heat for about five minutes until it thickens slightly
3. Transfer into cool base and leave in fridge to set (about 2 hours)🌬️ Jam:
1. Cook ingredients in a pan with hot water until soft🍒🍒
2. Blend briefly, until jam consistency is reached
3. Leave in fridge to cool before pouring over cake 
ENJOY!

I’m going to Italy for the entire fall semester 😬😱 with that being said, I still really want to bake/cook whole over there, but also do features of extra yummy food I eat, and tell you all more about my experience while there! (So fat I am taking 6 different cooking classes😻). Wondering what your thoughts are!!

    I’ve been a little MIA on here the last couple of days because I’ve been getting ready for the start of my second year of dental school — today!!! ⠀
⠀
I have a busy year ahead and with that comes the urge to say I don’t have time to eat healthy! That’s not an option this year, so meal prepping will be a weekly staple for me! ⠀

I’ll update y’all with my weekly lunch meal preps later, but for now I want to share my fav snacks for when I’m hangry in class (quite often)⠀

✨ cucumbers and cherry tomatoes + bolthouse cucumber ranch⠀
✨light string cheese ⠀
✨Greek yogurt cups with cinnamon ⠀
✨protein bars from @bowmar_nutrition ✨grapes (try them frozen!!) ⠀
✨Apple slices ⠀
⠀
All of these keep me happy and full between meals and save me from mindlessly snacking on things that will make me crash! ⠀

Snacking is really no different than your regular meal prepping. If you don’t spend the time to prepare some snacks how can you expect to quality options available? An few extra minutes during your prep can provide you with snacks that will last the week. ⁣

The Buffalo Chicken Dip can be eaten hot or cold and with or without something to dip into it. I like to heat in the microwave and eat it plain. Dipping raw vegetables into it is an option, a gross one at that, but still an option. The Chicken Kelaguen is a dish I grew up eating that works wonderfully as a high protein snack. It’s from the Mariana Islands and is meant to be eaten cold. It’s comprised of a whole chicken, lemon juice, salt, onions, coconut and chilies. ⁣

The nutrition information is for each serving and each dish is roughly 5 servings. It’s easier to store in one container instead of 5 individual ones which is why it’s pictured the way it is. If someone tries to say “no way that is all 178 calories” I’m going to equalize you.

    Creamy pasta with chickpeas by @earthofmariaa 😋 An easy, convenient and delicious recipe to try!

Recipe 
125g pasta of choice
1/2 medium onion, chopped
150g mushrooms, chopped
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/4 can coconut milk
1/2 tsp paprika
2 tsp curry powder
1 tbsp tamari
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp cornflour
1/4 cup green peas
Large handful spinach

Cook the pasta according to instructions on packaging. Add the onion and mushrooms to a non-stick frying pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the mushrooms soften. Then, add the tomato pasta and stir for a minute to coat. Add the chickpeas together with the coconut milk, paprika, curry powder, tamari and nutritional yeast. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, then at the last minute add the pasta together with the cornflour, green peas and spinach to allow the sauce to thicken and the spinach to wilt. Serve immediately.

    Red Thai Curry Soup with rice noodles, vegan dumplings broccoli and tofu by @happyskinkitchen 😋 an easy recipe packed with flavour!

To make it:  I fried some onion with some oil in a large pan, then added 1 tbsp of Thai red curry paste ( I have used thaitasteuk ) then added some coconut milk and boiling water. For a smoother consistency I blended the broth with an hand blender. I then added in the dry rice noodles, chopped broccoli and some frozen vegan dumplings ( I used itsuofficial ). I put the lid on and let it cook for about 15 minutes. In the meantime I quickly pan fried the tofu in some sesame seeds oil and Tamari sauce until crispy. Served the soup with the tofu, fresh coriander, sesame seeds and a generous squeeze of lime 😋

    Cinnamon Sugar Sweet Potato Fries 😍 First thing on my list to make when I’m home is another batch of these 👆🏻 Don’t get me wrong, I love a savory breakfast but this cinnamon, sugar, and an easy icing combo paired with sweet potatoes is just too good to say no to 😎 -

I made my go to easy 3 ingredient icing to pair drizzle on top of these + paired them with Greek yogurt to dip 👌🏻 Use a dairy free/vegan yogurt and this is an easy, plant based meal/snack/dessert! Going to make a batch when I’m home to snack on and have for breakfast 💯 Heading out this morning so another long day in the car ahead 😅 Saved up lots of podcasts to listen to this time! Going to do a blog post soon on my favorites! Happy Tuesday ❤️ -

#healthyrecipe details 👉🏻 preheat oven to 425F. Then slice 2 sweet potatoes into fries. Coat with 1 tbsp of melted coconut oil then top with 1/4 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp coconut sugar. Mix it all together with a spatula, making sure each fry is coated. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Topped with an easy icing:
1/2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk mixed with 1/2 tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 tbsp coconut butter. Mix it all together and then melt it for 15 seconds in the microwave, stir, and repeat. Paired with some Greek yogurt with cinnamon sprinkled on top. #paleo #glutenfree #choosingbalance
