🌻💡#bible. 🌷😍😍Eu simplismente amo deixar uma biblia de cara nova. É gratificante. E melhor ainda ver o cliente satisfeito.

Do you have that thoughts floating around in your head throughout the day? Do you feel a lot of anxiety with multiple things in your life? If so, journaling might be something for you.

Journaling allows you to have your thoughts on paper so you can organize, plan, and decipher all your ideas. It can minimize anxiety, decrease stress, help with clear thinking, and increase productivity.

Consider journaling if you have difficulties in any of these areas.

I’ve been doodling every day for as long as I can remember. Creating repetitive patterns is the only way I’ve found to tune into my environment and decompress at the same time-- to the point where it’s become an integral part of who I am. ⠀
⠀
Ask my elementary school teachers or college professors, they’ll remember that girl who doodled incessantly every day in class. I doodle my way through phone calls, classes, church services, lunch breaks, DMV visits, meetings, seminars, sleepless nights, and plane rides. Creating is so embedded in my routine that it’s second nature. I carry around little pieces of paper with watercolor shapes ready for embellishing. I don’t have a plan or an idea, I just let my hand make the first mark until it settles and finds a soothing pattern. With doodling, the stakes are very low, and I don’t put any expectations on it. I typically don’t have a plan; I just make for the sake of making. I don’t really become attached to the tiny creations either. The doodle serves its purpose in the moment and that’s enough for me. ⠀
⠀
Process art is a huge component to the work we do in art therapy. It can be difficult and extremely intimidating for someone to jump in and trust the process when it’s been years since they’ve picked up any art media. I am honored to witness people break free from the insecurity and fear when they make artwork in session and I don’t take it lightly. While the final product makes for a great self-exploration tool, art therapists definitely capitalize on the art making process itself too. Making art invigorates the brain and studies show that producing art increases the functional connectivity in the brain (meaning improved mood, memory and new brain cells!). Researchers have found that creating art is essentially like exercise for the brain, keeping the mind sharp and clear well into old age. Beyond that, making art can actually help you cope with stressful and difficult situations you face in everyday life-- hence why I’ve most likely been doodling since I was 5 years old. ⠀
⠀
So with that, my hope for you is that you can have an inspiring moment and create something this weekend. Trust the process. -Ashley B.

Who would you be if you released the internalized painful messages you received on systemic levels and in your home? Who would you be if you didn’t live to fulfill the expectation of others, but of who you want to be and who you feel you are.
.

What does your heart say to you? Often times so many people live their lives trying to meet the expectations of parents , that they can forget what they want and who they are...even more when they’re survivors of abuse and carry trauma within. To be yourself isn’t safe and many can feel so detached from their spirit. I’d say to you, stop more. Relax mode. Breathe into your body more. Look in the mirror and see yourself more. Close your eyes and look within to see yourself there too. Re-introduce yourself to you. Know your likes and dislikes. .

You are already within you. So ask yourself the above question- who are you without the restrictions and pain. That’s You.
