💪 I needed to do something that would tackle my quads, core and would feel spicy. Last week I did these for 3 sets of 20 (10/side) at 60# and the difference that 5# made, certainly is a doozy. .

🏋🏽‍♂️ Heart rate elevated, sweat beads dripping and this definitely felt a lot longer than the amount of time it actually took me to do the work. I felt like I played myself from avoiding cardio. Either way, compared to @sletizia menu item today, this was still a breeze. .

I want my back to grow grow groooooowwww. My upper body is honestly one of my hardest portions of my body to lean out. I’m really focusing on trying to tone everything up, while maintaining a thicker lower body ✨ 🔥Sets and Reps depend on the exercise 🔥

All right let’s talk about a subject that can be quite controversial. You hear a lot of the fitness experts talking about the risk to reward is too high when it comes to the squat and the dead lift. People love to talk about not doing deadlifts and not doing squats because the risk of injury is too high. But there’s also the other people who talk about how the squat and the dead lift are the kings of resistance training exercises. And that everyone should practice these movements to reap their benefits. I tend to fall into the second camp here’s my thinking behind it. Just because you do a movement and it hurts doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t do the exercise. The pain you get during that movement is not because the movement itself is bad, but because some of the bodies poor movement patterns are what’s causing the pain. So we shouldn’t just throw the king of all exercises out just because it hurts a little bit, that’s the symptom, let’s look for what’s actually causing the pain and fixing that. Because if you can perform a squat or you can perform a deadlift without pain the benefits are going to be very beneficial. #squats #deadlift #jointpain #legday #hiphinge #weightlifting #gains #hypertrophy #weightloss

Had a pretty solid leg day yesterday especially after being on my feet all day! I decided to use do sled pushes but really focused on going slowly and going deep into the lunge. You really feel the burn! I always find that getting a really good sweat in helps me feel extremely positive afterwards. What helps you feel better mentally?

Am thankful for every hotel gym that’s equipped with more than treadmills and yoga mats. But nothing beats a solid rack and plenty of plates to be mounted. While I’m never keen on leg days, I ended up really enjoying today’s heavy lifting. Never skip legday and appreciate what you have, fitnessfriends. .

So what are you training for? A lot of people ask after all these years. Honestly I’m not training for anything other than being the best version of myself . Female empowerment and equality is important to me, but not in the sense that I’d like to be equal as my male counterpart; but equal in the way I’m being treated, and “allowed” to strive for the same goals any human can think possible.

I do not want to be limited to societal standards to what I can or cannot do. I have the right to shape my future where there are no preconceived labels attached to me because I’m a woman.

I don’t run like a girl, I run like me. I’m not too young to be where I am, I just am here based on the work I’ve put in. I am not selfish as a working mom, I’m striving to drive a business where my daughter’s future is secured. I am not a” bitch”, I teach others how to treat me by what I allow, what I reinforce, and what I stop.
I’ll continue to define who and what I want to be. I’m setting a path and a standard for my daughter and for so many other women who support me on a daily; this is what I’m truly training for.

Let’s be relentless.

Deuxième leg day de la semaine! Bon boulot pour ce soir.
J'ai baissé la charge du squat à la barre, comme on me l'a conseillé, et je suis descendu plus bas. Ça pique... Mais je sens aussi un travail différent. Puis monté de mollet, squat sumo balancé, saut groupé (argh!!!) Et enfin presse à quadri... Et après fallait descendre l'escalier pour se changer... On m'a proposé des béquilles..😆
