    I buy myself (inexpensive) flowers pretty much every single week. It’s a thing I’ve done for a couple years and  thank god for Trader Joe’s selection.

This is actually something I learned from my mom - she taught me that a clear space, a burning candle and fresh flowers can change your world. She always had them in our house. I remember our home being filled with a lot of music, too. Usually whatever 90’s alternative album she was obsessed with on repeat - again and again, over and over it played. Really explains my love for Dave Matthews band, Counting Crows and Hootie and the blowfish 😂🤷🏻‍♀️. .
She taught me that these small acts fall under the category of “wellness” just as much as expensive organic food hauls and boutique studio classes. Today when I place my weekly flowers on the counter I think of her. .

    Interesting thoughts at play last night… The mind and ego are always trying to ‘figure out’ the end-game and the steps to get there + why we should be going in that direction. The truth and spirit in us acts upon the next thing in front on us, that which is most charming - without knowing how it’s going to play out and what the end-game is. It trusts and pursues that, gaining more knowledge and then stepping into the next most charming action, forever in this cycle of moment-to-moment. ⠀
⠀
This if often uncomfortable for us; we want control, hard facts, predictability, but we must trust in what we are being offered in each moment, without resistance. Trusting this moment-to-moment experience with curiosity and knowing it is always going to give us something new - it is going to expand our awareness + consciousness, giving us opportunities to raise the quality of experience we are having, through consciousness interacting with itself in service to the needs of the moment. This action could simply be the charm to smile at a stranger in the street, the interaction leaving you both feeling uplifted - this is consciousness at play, enlivening the moment for everyone/thing involved 💗

    I went for a walk in the woods this morning and I listened. At first, it was still and quiet. But then, you notice all the sound and movement - birds chirping, stream running, ducks quacking, squirrels stirring. The mind isn’t involved at all - your body is simply listening to what’s happening inside and out. It’s beyond language, but something is speaking, there is understanding, there is connection, and it’s all very natural, isn’t it? 🌿

    Second day in paradise. While I am enjoying the beauty of nature, I have the chance to stop and watch myself and my life from a safe distance. Being back at home and spending time with family gives you the unique possibility to dive deep and be truthful about yourself. Nobody is your enemy, no need to constantly protect yourself from the unforeseen, no need to constantly trying to express your self, to be understood by others. You can just be yourself as you are.     do you ever stop to think that all the small choices that may seem meaningless to you day to day actually matter? these decisions, actions, habits + routines are what determine your future.

what do you dream of? what do you want to accomplish? who do you want to be? what do you value most?

think about it. is your current routine bringing you closer to that? do your daily choices set you up for success? what you become is a result of what you do today.

it’s often said that one can determine another’s success by observing them for an entire day. what does your day to day look like?

I thought it's a good idea to get to know the roots - so I went on different retreats. Basically all traditions (and for sure all the sub-traditions) are training the awareness and mindfulness (attitude) and depending on the tradition special heart and mind qualities are more in focus. As a common result you're feeling more connected and in peace within yourself and this is radiating (as you may have recognized lately ;) out to others and the earth.

So regarding WALKING MEDITATION it's like:

Without judgment we see things as they are, everything is happening perfectly. It’s our attachment to the outcome that pulls us out of the present moment and into worry, anxiety, anger and unhappiness. Focus on the process let go of the outcome and you’ll be free to enjoy the present moments whatever happens. Life is happening NOW #biglove

I recognized that a lot of my discontent came from striving—goals, future plans, wishes, etc. And one of the first side effects I noticed of meditation is what I call the “packing my brain in cotton” feeling — accessing some space around my thoughts, finding time to chose how to react, a bit of a “leaned back” feeling.     Excited to be continuing my studies and my journey as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher.

Started Level 2 teacher training this past weekend @seventhchakrayoga 🙏🙏🙏
And of course the module is... Life Styles and Life Cycles.

I am already blown away with the yogic perspective of our human life. And deeply resonate with the sometimes unnecessary suffering we all go through as we transition into new phases. I think the wisdom of our natural cycles is something that should be taught at school — learning to honor all stages of life and handle each transition with grace.

Remember a transition is different than a change. A change is walking faster or slower, a transition is crossing the street and going in another direction.

One topic we discussed: Steps of a TRANSITION.
1️⃣ LET GO
Live lightly... and let go of things as they naturally pass away. This is a process trust me.
2️⃣ PAUSE
Be present... enter into the space between the storm. A beautiful disengagement so you can see the truth of your life. Go on retreat.. travel.. be with yourself.
3️⃣ BEGIN AGAIN!
An authentic beginning relies on profound inner alignment. A time for positive projection and optimism. Walk forward with trust knowing you are guided.
