And then to see Billie Eilish be so open, yet overcome with emotion whilst receiving her Brit Award last week, due to feeling 'the hate' - it genuinely made me reflect and realise I am on to such a good thing with @ratingallstars and VibeStars™- celebrating good vibes only, using five meaningful words.

Today is 3 months since losing my brother. On days like this, my body just knows. I woke up at 7 AM and sat, pensively, about the day and the task I had ahead: 14 miles. A hard task, but not nearly as hard as my brother saw his own trials. Trials he ultimately couldn’t overcome, despite the question I have to ask myself every day: could he have, would he have, if I had been there to help him? Today, I couldn’t answer that. I just had to mourn what could have been. 3 months ago my life changed, irreversibly. But today, I ran for him. Each mile, I thought of him and how at the very least, I can do this. I can live for him. Breathe for him. I haven’t connected the dots yet: my purpose for all of this, but I will try to find it every day. So today I pushed my body to do something incredible (to me), and I’m grateful and sad and overwhelmed and uncertain why I am able to, when he can’t. All I know is I miss him, today and every day. I love you, Trevor. Thanks for that time with me this morning.

ADD moms 🙋🏻‍♀️, we have ADD 🧠. We see all these SHINY ✨ references about ADD. While we’re RAISING ADDers 🧑🏻‍🦱👧🏻. There’s a lot of SHINY but there’s A LOT of Out of Control emotions (us and our baby’s). Don’t get me started on the RAGE 🤬 that’s always lingering under the surface. •

Reposted from @what.is.mental.illness Mental health can be a very challenging and sensitive conversation topic, especially when it comes to talking about your own mental health. This puts us in a very vulnerable position, where we have to talk about something extremely sensitive and personal. Being put in that vulnerable position can also bring up a lot of unpleasant emotions that we’ll be forced to feel and process. Needless to say, it takes a lot of courage to talk about such an intimate experience. We also run the risk of oversharing and making others feel uncomfortable around us. Even though 1 in 5 people deal with mental illness; there is still a lot of stigmas attached to mental health. We may worry about being misunderstood, judged, or even ostracized. So it’s only natural to not want to share or talk about our experiences when we don’t feel safe to do so. However, not talking about our mental illnesses can also make us feel very lonely and isolated.
Talking about my anxiety disorders took the weight off my shoulders. You don't necessarily need to talk a family member or a friend if it's too hard for you. But you can consult a therapist (which is really helpful) There's a lot of mental health groups on the internet that can be really helpul when it's time to share your experience. You can find a lot of people in the same situation as you and people who can relate to your experience.

Sometimes I'll be doing something and I'll stop because I remember where I came from or I have the lingering memories from PTSD nightmares or I'll have a flashback.
And I look around and feel so lucky to have what I have now and be where I am now.
But I always forget to remind myself that whilst yes I'm grateful for my life (especially the beautiful people who are in it) I didn't get here by accident. I worked so hard. I moved to a different state, I cut off basically all family (they were either still in contact with my abuser or abusive themselves), I had 0 support network around me, I cried my heart out from lonliness and pain either alone or in therapists offices.
I self harmed on and off for years.
I was suicidal more times than I care to count.
Got myself into an abusive romantic relationship.
And I survived
With the help of a therapist I figured out how to identify early warning signs of a toxic person and I learnt how to create and foster healthy relationships, as well as better stress management.
Last year a psychiatrist finally found me the right medication and that changed everything (I actually sleep now, goodbye insomnia!)
I completely recreated myself and my life.
The hard work is certainly not over, there's so many layers of trauma and I feel like once I heal one layer, underneath a red raw layer reveals itself. I used to sob and sob when I thought about how this is chronic and how I will have PTSD symptoms for a long long time but you get better at coping with it, you know how to ride the wave and that it is just that, a wave that will pass. Some days you'll get up and you'll be able to smile through and others you won't -and that's ok.
Take a moment today to self reflect congratulate yourself on every loving thing that you do for yourself xo

Insecure doesn’t even describe how I’m feeling ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I woke up feeling sick 🤧so not only I didn’t work out when I planned too( this is a photo from yesterday post sauna) but that I ate like total garbage today☹️. I don’t want to fall back into bad habits but today my mind is battling a totally other fight. I do wanna keep this page positive but it’s to be known that there is ups and downs on any journey but guess I’m in a doen today. Tomorrow better be ready to have her ass kicked. Some days you just need rest. Goodnight y’all

What a relaxed look for someone who for so long was anything but...Maybe I’ll write a book and tell you about how despite the fact that I had all the spiritual and professional inside anyone could need to navigate anxiety and depression, I struggled for many years with the very things I hoped to alleviate in the lives of others. Maybe I’ll tell you about nearly debilitating panic attacks and reflux so painful that I had to use Magic Mouthwash (what is used on cancer patients to help with burns from chemotherapy and radiation) to soothe it....but then because the lidocaine was so strong in it, it would make my airway feel inflamed and trigger another panic attack, so I had to use a milder version consisting of Mylanta and Chloraseptic? Reflux, emotional and physical exhaustion so severe that I had to stop singing due to a nodule on my vocal cord. Maybe I’ll further discuss how not being able to sing depressed me even further. How at night I thought I was going to die, so I didn’t sleep, and how this went on for years . All the while driving to various homes to aid people dealing with the same issues. Years of suppressing every emotion conceivable for the sake of being a high performer, resident good natured girl, and Believer. This book would (will) sell, Family......But moreover I would highlight the points of how integral that the “Helper be helped.” How therapy, a team of people loving, supporting, sometimes scolding me, and most importantly interceding for me when a bible verse or prayer was the farthest thing from my mind, and quite frankly, became things that I had come to resent....Trust me it would sell. But what I would highlight is how through therapy I became a more amazing therapist....And for those therapists who may say that self disclosure is something that competent therapists use sparingly, please know that I feel some of you cringe....Alas, I’m a kingdom citizen, and many have and will continue to be won by my testimony and the blood of The Lamb. #firstposts of today.
Saturday. Unproductive yet quite decent morning, kind of managed to block off miserable weather: cold, rainy, windy and dark. -
Forced myself to go out - was difficult and felt uncomfortable, but yet I did got out. Doesn’t feel like accomplishment though.
-
It was ups and downs. But once I got home it all just went down the hill because someone pointed out how useless I am. -
Streamed for myself. Sat in the chair comfortable, with cozy lighting and a few candles, playing for my own fun. -
It sucks that this whole day i tried to feel better and build up my mood and one well placed phrase brought me down instantly. -
Still drinking water, fightning stress and trying to improve.

Once it came time to move on to greater and better things like college, I realized I couldn’t get even get through an overnight orientation due to my anxiety. While everyone else was socializing at college, I was home feeling bad for myself. But, then I began commuting to community college and put all my effort into writing about my experiences on my blog. This has helped me immensely and I plan to continue to preserve and not let anxiety take control of my life.
