Osteoarthritis is a condition that is characterised by chronic joint inflammation and pain. The condition affects all aspects of the joint, including cartilage, bone, ligament and muscles. People with osteoarthritis will experience symptoms of pain, stiffness, swelling, joint instability and muscular weakness.
Exercise has many benefits for osteoarthritis. People who participate in regular exercise experience reductions in pain and improvements in physical function and quality of life. Often osteoarthritis is coupled with other health conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), obesity and conditions such as kidney disease and heart disease. With such conditions exercise poses additional benefits to those with osteoarthritis.
Exercise therapy for osteoarthritis should include both a strength training component and an aerobic component. Examples of strength training include group exercise classes, lifting weights and doing bodyweight exercises and should be conducted two to three times per week. Aerobic exercise includes activities such as walking, cycling, running and swimming and they should be conducted a minimum of five times per week for at least 30 minutes in total per day. For people who have been diagnosed with any form of arthritis it is important that you discuss with our accredited exercise physiologist or one of our physiotherapists about joining our tailored exercise class, Funny Bones.

Why is it that inspiration
always comes at the most random times?

Like when you're sprinting 'cause you're hella late, or when you're hands are full of dish soap and you're scrubbing away... I feel like it's a game the universe plays with you.
Like yo, imma throw some incredible inspiration/creativity at you, but at the most random times.
And you're gonna have about one second to capture it in some way before its gone, forever.

Oh and it's not just one thing, it's a wave that comes. Like a live speech that has already started, and I gotta bust out a typewriter to keep up with typing the words, while listening to the speech as it's happening.

That's pretty much how every poem/verse of mine happens. Or at least that's how it starts.
Once I write down a chunk of it, sometimes I'll go back and be inspired to add more to it.
That's exactly what happened with this little verse.
Never thought I'd quote lil Wayne in my poetry posts 😂 but here's some deep bars from the man:
"Life is such a f*ckin' rollercoaster, then it drops.
But what should I scream for? This is my theme park.
My mind shines even when my thoughts seem dark." There's going to be ups and downs in life but don't get too caught up in them.
Let this temporary journey of life be what it is without trying so hard to control it all the time.
When you trust Life and start to simply observe with a quiet + empty mind, you'll start to notice the peace and blessings that were here all along.

You simply had your attention elsewhere so you couldn't see. You were too focused on talking to your mind about every little up and down in your life. Too busy trying to mitigate risks, analyzing, predicting, complaining, wanting more, etc.
Too busy in your mind to see the peace and blessings that have always been right here with you. -SOUL FLOW

▪How to create and maintain your happiness at home?
▪How to discover your purpose that leads you to meaningful and happy life?

1. How to discover your Why?
Invest your t i m e carefully working on your Why? do you do what you do. This is the core and foundation for the next action you need to take. Check and update your notes from time to time; especially when in doubt - it does happen, too.

2.How discover What?
Once you know your Why, it's much easier to discover What? actions to take. Setting boundaries, commitment to certain things becomes easier and evident because you know your goals and why you aim to those.
Example: A person who loves nature and flowers more than anything -> florist, gardener -> protects the seeds and plants and wakes up early to cover them from burning sun. An educator loves children and can set boundaries which helps the child to be safe and learn not to climb on a cupboard every time.

3. How to discover What?
Once you've taken the steps Why? (most important) and What? your How? follows with accepting the courage to fail and the attitude of knowing that you always and constantly l e a r n as long as you keep taking a c t i o n .
Thinking is hard yet you can get stuck with all the fancy ideas and uncountable possibilities that actually narrows your doings - furthermore, hinders reaching the goal. Do it. Just do it. You know your Why ( your vision is clear), you know already What you are doing (gardening, teaching, agricultural work, beauty industry, IT Tec, doctor, actor etc (and why) - accept failing as part of the process and attitude of learning. Be humble and not too vulnerable to critics. There's always someone who gives critics. Many times you are hardest on yourself. Change that. Instead, give credit to yourself and others. Let go and have fun.

🚨Stop with the justifications 🚨

What I've learned is that you never need to jusifty or explain yourself when trying something new.

I use to justify why I was going to do something, as if I needed to qualify the experiences value.
Who cares, just be with the experience whatever it is.
When people come to yoga some say how bad they are at it, or how little they know, or generally under sell themselves.

This is the culture we live in, people have an image in their mind of what yoga is and they compare themselves to that.

I say, you're doing yoga all the time.
Breathing, sitting, walking, moving, dreaming.

Yoga is about connecting back into the source of all things. It's not about being felixble, muscular and athletic.

These can come as a result of focusing on one of the eight limbs of yoga, the asana (poses). Before we get into that, let's take it back to the basics.
Activate and isolate your belly and then your diaphragm while you breathe.

That alone is a game charger. .

I had the delight of working in Dubai for the past week at a festival that shouldn’t have ever consider having Breathwork.

I was amazed at how frequently I heard people say “I can’t...” or “I’m afraid if...” I’ve found in the absence of fear I can do anything.

I remember my body shaking in my rusted Pontiac Bonneville outside my ghetto apartment being afraid to leave my hometown because the unknown was too much.

Imagine if I allowed that fear to swallow me whole and keep me small?

I never would have made it to Dubai. I would have missed out on traveling the world with incredible people. I wouldn’t know the exuberance that comes from doing deep internal work.

I could have missed out on it all because I was too afraid to try something new - too afraid to potentially fail.

Here’s to walking through fear and soaking up rare beautiful adventures with the souls who get why we do the hard work.

Here’s to laughter in the desert and finding sand in your hair days later.

Here’s to walking into the unknown simply because mediocrity isn’t good enough.
