One of the best way to way to keep yourself safe and injury free is to move yourself in all the range of motion possible for the joint more often.

This is called a jefferson curl. Which allow your spine and hamstrings to get unlocked and also helps to bring the necessary strength to the spine. .

Segmental spinal flexion keeping your knees straight with a light load helps the tissues to open up the restrictions due to any stationary or movement bases stress caused by your job or by workout. Try this out with a pvc pipe to begin with and progressively add a bit of load adding tempo and hold at the bottom position. .

Before that ol’ ego kicks in and you start throwing the big boy weights around, you may need to progress through some bodyweight exercises or at least slow down the tempo and focus more on the movement.

❎Bridge Routine

My most weakest Position 😅 Got a lot of work to do to get this pose lookin pretty.

This is my simple weekly bridge routine:
🔸Wall Rotations 3x10r per side
🔸Bridge Holds 6-8x30s
🔸Bridge Pushups 2-3x8r

Go slow on the sets - you don't want to injure your lower back.

Even with a mostly straight lower back I'm really sore after this session.
But I love the feeling how this pose is opening your shoulders and your chest. 🔥 I always walk straight like a soldier afterwards.

💡Mobilizacja zgięcia grzbietowego w stawie skokowym.
Ograniczenie na które cierpi wiele osób uprawiających sport na każdym poziomie. Staw skokowy POWINIEN być mobilny, rzeczywistość bywa inna🙄 ➡️Wyjściem może być mobilizacja do której potrzeba powerband, podwyższenia, odważnika (najlepiej ze względu na budowę-Kettlebell) oraz.. Dużo cierpliwości.
🔔Warto zwrócić uwagę na ułożenie gumy na śródstopiu- chcemy, aby kierunek jej naciągu był w kierunku tylnym i lekko do dołu (stąd podwyższenie) oraz (!) staramy się umocować ją pod stawem skokowym - okolice kości łódkowatej. W momencie gdy mamy to opanowane można dodać obciążenie zewnętrzne i wytrzymać pozycje do około 90-120 sekund.
⚠️Cała stopa ma kontakt z podłożem przez cały czas trwania.

Jeśli chcecie mocno tu podziałać nad biodrami także, spróbujcie nogę z tyłu dać nogę do rotacji wewnętrznej😉

My (our) active recovery on this chilly Sunday morning. Your top priority on rest days should be just that- rest- and for many of us, that means no active recovery because we push ourselves too hard. But man it felt good to move my muscles and joints around in a kind and mindful way. HOWEVER, If your training is highly unbalanced, you could be feeding into these natural asymmetries and putting yourself at risk of injury. It’s very common amongst gym goers and a dominant reason why aches, pains, stiff joints and tight muscles are ‘the norm’.

3️⃣ things you can do to prevent this happening:

1️⃣ Base your training on movement patterns NOT individual muscle groups.

📝 Squat, Hinge, Lunge/Split Stance, Upper Push, Upper Pull (Horizontal & Vertical plane).

Exercises from these categories should form the base of your training. Isolation work should be sprinkled in secondary to this.

2️⃣ Do plenty of core, hip and shoulder stability work.

📝 For the core, don’t forget any of the 3 primary categories: anti-extension, anti-lateral flexion, anti-rotations. For the shoulders, go to town on external rotation work, lower trap work and scapula / rotator cuff stability drills. For the hips, do some work for your hip flexors, lateral glutes (abductors) and inside leg (adductors) ... these muscles tend to get neglected.

3️⃣ Program unilateral and offset loading periodically.

📝 If you’re married to the Barbell, you may be favoring your dominant side. Using Dumbbells forces both sides of your body to work independently. Program lots of single leg and single arm exercises like split squats, lateral lunges, single arm press and single arm rows. Alternating presses are fantastic also. Offset loading is another method that provides unique challenges to one side of the body.

THANK YOU my 10k followers. I remember starting my Instagram account in 2015 - much later than many of my peers, because "nah, Facebook keeps me busy enough." But so many people were talking about it I decided to create an account, with the intention to share the happenings in my life, interests, what I do, places I go to; basically creating my own life photo album to look back at 🖼 .

Began with 300 followers - never imagined it would even get close to 10k. I'm happy to know that some of my posts have inspired/motivated people to lead a happy, healthy, balanced lifestyle 🙆🏻‍♀️ .

It is logical that people would want to empty their minds of constant streams of emotions. They want to find some peace of mind, some silence. But we aren’t machines with files you can simply delete! Emptying our minds is not something we can do.
We want to empty our minds because we can’t deal with our thoughts. So we become saturated with everything happening around us, and we feel the need to cut ourselves off it, even if it means becoming groggy and numb.
Meditating is totally different. It’s not about escaping into restlessness, or cleaning out your mind with a vacuum; rather, it’s about being wholly present to everything that is. learn to accept everything going on around you. Don’t focus on the past, and don’t forget it either. But the goal is to focus wholly on the present and just the present. Figure out what is bothering you, what stresses are hanging over you, and then calmly learn to find different methods of resolving them. The sooner you accept the present and accept your surroundings, the sooner life becomes easier. You’ll feel an overwhelming feeling of relief because instead of panicking, trying to forget, and denying things going on around you, you have accepted them. You have learned to live with them, and now you can truly work on trying to make a better life for yourself.

If you're struggling with growing your pectoralis (chest), you're not alone.

A lot of people mistakenly perform way too many exercises, with too light weight and too many reps, all with improver form.

Sure, light weights can give you some growth, but if you're not stimulating your muscles with more stress than they're used to, they'll not grow.

So what you can keep in mind as a guide is to train your chest 1-3 days per week (depending on your fitness level), and 2-5 different exercises. Choose some you like and STICK to them. Don't jump around every workout changing them up, trying to "confuse" your muscles. You'll only confuse yourself. Stick to a couple of compound exercises (like the barbell bench press) and a few accessory exercises (like the low-to-high cable flyer), and get better at those specific exercises so you can increase the weight over-time. 2-6 sets with 6-15 reps are great guidelines.

I love the low-to-high cable flyes as an accessory exercise.
