Ok so I’ve been offline for about two or three weeks.
Here’s a throw🔙 to last month with a picture of me celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing, by dressing up as an astronaut 👩‍🚀 -

if you believe ships "disappear" due to curvature, then you need to learn about #perspective #vanishingPoint and #convergence

If ships truly disappeared over bendy oceans, as assumed by Heliocentrists, we would never be able to bring them back into view with high powered optics!

We would simply see a blue sky, nothing else.

This proves that Aristotle built his model of the earth off of a faulty premise! But to his defense, high powered optics did not exist back in 300 b.c.

The reason ships disappear "over the horizon" is simply a matter of perspective -- once the ship reaches our vanishing point (3.1 miles from the observer at sea level) it disappears from our sight.

However with the right instrument, we can zoom into the ship and "push" that vanishing point further and further away, bringing the ship back into view, hull & all 🔭🚢

Very proud the Gemini X & Apollo 11 patches have no names! They represent the hundreds of thousands who dedicated themselves to the space program’s success.

Honored that our Apollo 11 mission patch could lend some inspiration to Expedition 60. Check out the meaning behind their patch’s elements at the link in my bio!
