Do you enjoy difficult hikes or do you like to stick to easier trails? ⛰✨ .
.
Posting this photo I’m instantly brought back to when I suggested to my family in Kelowna that we do a “casual hike” which turned out to be the hardest hike (with no clear trail) we’ve ever done... but the views were worth it and we didn’t have to feel guilty for our wine that night sooo not a bad suggestion after all don’t you think? 🤷🏼‍♀️🍷✨

I think if i remember correctly my brother said at one point during our hike at McDougall Rim “Kirsten is never allowed to pick the hiking trail ever again”. I’ll be honest, I had done a bunch of research and had some very specific scenic spots I wanted to shoot at that were on the McDougall Rim hike. The thing is, I didn’t really realize that there could be known hikes without clear trails or maps... I also didn’t realize that it was rated hard difficulty before we got there LOL. Embarrassing city girl moment but... Who would have thought hikes had ratings?! 🙈... But it’s just one of those things you wouldn’t know if you haven’t done it 🤷🏼‍♀️😂. It was a strenuous extremely steep uphill climb and add to that the fact I had a bag of heavy skirts with me (I wore biking shorts for the hike and slipped one of my skirts over top for photos) and sneakers with zero grip and it was pretty much a recipe for disaster 😂😂😂. I’ll be honest though guys, I wasn’t ready to give up and it wasn’t my decision to turn around.. Although we did after about 1.5km or steep steep uphill climb. Moral of the story: look up the hike difficulties before you venture out and maybe find out if they have a defined trail map. Needless to say if you love a difficult hike, amazing outdoor exercise and great views you should definitely check out McDougall Rim! As difficult as it was I totally enjoyed myself and learned that I actually really enjoy hiking! I’ll definitely be back again with more appropriate footwear 🙌🏻

It's always a good idea to get up early and enjoy the sunraise. Especially when you are camping at the lake side 💪🌅

Bu fotoğraf gece 01:00 da çekildi. Arkada Marmaris’in şehir ışıkları bulutları aydınlatırken, muhteşem kumlubük koyunda bir yelkenli. Yaklaşık 25 saniye pozlanan fotoğrafta hiç bir filtre yok :) Doğa zaten tüm güzelliği ile filtresini eklemiş geceye... #marmaris #kumlubük #yatch #longexposure
