It seems so simple but yet so many people neglect rest in favour of sweating and hard work. There is certainly a time and place for this and generally should be saved for the fluff work after the meat and potatoes.

Hard work is good but in terms of muscle and strength gains the load and intensity has to be equated. If it isn't sufficient then it's just hard work and little strength and muscle gains will be made.
.
If load and intensity is equated but you are resting 30 seconds between a heavy bench press, squat, deadlift or any other big lift then you are missing out on lots of gains. You will fatigue much quicker and your overall load and volume will suffer during your session.
.
People may think your a lazy twat for resting 3-5 mins between your heavy sets but little do they know their sweating and little rest times actually makes them regress rather than progress.
.
There are lots of ways to train and lots of ways to progress and all should be used. Understand what you are going for in that session rather than just giving it your all and having no rest times.

HAPPY WEEKEND 😎

So incredibly grateful for this past week and new motivation for my future. I started journaling my diet and exercises to stay on track. Started thinking about what I really want for myself and I’m moving better than ever. My diet has been cleaner than ever and I’m feeling really good physically and mentally. I started trying out intermittent fasting in the mornings and it’s been going great. There are no limits to what I want to do. Even though it’s hard, it’s going to be worth it. For anyone starting something new, you got this ✨

Z kolanami już lepiej (dzięki @dr_lokiec ), dzięki czemu wróciłem do ćwiczeń wielostawowych, w tym siadów ze sztangą. Mimo to cały czas jestem zachowawczy, więc trenuje na dużym zakresie powtórzeń (15-20) i w przypadku przysiadów nie zakładam na gryf więcej jak 120kg. Do tego od czasu do czasu wrzucam inne metody (siady pauzowane, pulsacyjne itp.) także coś tam rośnie mimo choroby zwyrodnieniowej. 🤗
Czy to jest do końca mądre? Pewnie niezbyt ale w przypadku takiego urazu przewlekłego dwa tygodnie czy miesiąc pauzy mi nie zrobi różnicy. Ingerencja chirurga wykluczyłaby mnie pewnie na najbliższy rok, także wole cisnąć dalej póki mogę. 🤷🏽‍♂️
