A ‘lil bit sad that I can’t eat this meal from @lilfrankies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This pasta dish is called Mezzi Rigatoni Polpettini Ragu and, yes, it is topped with lots of ricotta 🤤. All of the food was fantastic, the wait staff was fun and laid back, and the wine was impressive. Order this rigatoni and meatballs on your next visit!

    I’ve been craving jajangmyeon for a while so this was heaven 😩😍 The black bean noodles are their specialty so I had high expectations and they were fully met. I also ordered a side of fried dumplings and together with the sauce it was amazing: the crunch & flavor 🙌🙌 Also you can check in on Yelp & get a free soda!     チャーハンがパラパラかそうでないかの論争は、当然だが行き着くところ単なる好みの違いだったりする。ラーメンのこってりかあっさりかの違いと同じ。着地点の違いを論じても美味しさにはたどり着かない。

新潟の雄来味の亀田店が、突如板橋にワープしてきたニュースはあまりに唐突すぎて思わず聞き流してしまったが(悪い癖)、大暑の候、ようやくここまでたどり着く。厨房の温度いかばかりかと慮ることわずか、すまんと思いつつラーメンとチャーハンのセット、ラーチャンを所望。

う!思わずチャーハンに唸る。先の議論の体で言うならパラパラのチャーハン。流行りじゃないってやつか。しかし、これが望外に旨い。おにぎりのような食べごたえのあるしっとりとしたチャーハンに比べ、品があって香りが立つ。具材はシンプルなのに豊かだ。そういえばこの店、「ライス」というサイドメニューがない。つまり、(きっと)チャーハンのために米を炊いているのだ。だから旨い。

ラーメンは新潟市内のスタンダードのひとつ。おぼろげに拡がる干魚香、透き通ったスープ。これですよね、大原さん!チャーハンの受けとしても、麺を持ち上げたときの主体としても素晴らしい。

    Stir fried veggie noodles in ginger-chili oil
By @yummyyatra 🍜 Who wants a delicious bowl of noodles? Find the recipe below:

Ingredients 
4 noodle cakes
4 scallions, chopped (green and white parts separated)
6 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup low sodium tamari 
2 teaspoons ginger-chili oil (recipe below)
salt, as needed
1 tsp rice vinegar 
Mix veggies - use as much or as little as you like (I used carrots, baby bok choy, colored peppers and cabbage)
1 teaspoon oil (your choice of oil)
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions 
1. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. 
2. Heat oil in a deep skillet. Add garlic, and reduce the heat. Add the white part of the scallion. Keep stirring for about a minute.
3. Add all of the veggies.
4. Add salt.
5. Add the chili oil (you may add more if you prefer your noodles more spicy.)
6. Add your low sodium tamari and rice vinegar.
7. Keep stirring the veggies for another 4-5 minutes.
8. Add the cooked noodles. Toss all of the contents in the pot until well combined. 
9. Add the green parts if the scallions. Toss again.
10. Turn off the heat. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Recipe for ginger-chili oil:
1/2 cup sesame oil
1 teaspoon chili flakes
1/2 inch piece ginger, grated *Heat sesame oil in a small bowl (medium heat)
*Add the chili flakes.
*Add the grated ginger
*Cook until the oil starts to sizzle. (The oil should be warm but not hot.)
*Turn off the heat.
