Akira is a folded blade that reveals an indication about which kind of space is behind a door. The folded shape of the door handle is served as a punctuation between spaces. Also, the shape enables a good ergonomics and specific adaptations for different uses.

Designed by Damien Robache.

Almost that time of year again!🔥 I'm excited to return to the playa with Vortex. It has been a nice change of pace to finish a project long before the burn. I've been able to focus on the details. (📷: Who took this pic?)

The idea behind this workshop was to #design an fabrication methodology for complex #concrete structures; this methodology employs common 2D CNC machineries and therefore is more efficient in Time and expenses. The complexity in this experiment resides in #ComputationalDesign where an highly integrated system of hierarchical substructures used to control the #geometry and assembly process.

    What a great idea!
They created a glass panel with the perspective design of the gate.
The Heidentor, also known as the Pagan Gate or Pagan Gate, is the partially rebuilt ruin of a triumphal arch of the Roman Empire, located in what was the fortified city of Carnuntum in present-day Austria.
